The siding crew were extremely accommodating and accessible. I was able to text them outside of work hours with questions or requests for changes to the work, which always met with quick replies. My original rating was 5 star due to presentation and workers. I am changing rating due to intentional lie about Michigan roofing code. We had a previous tear off, meaning we have single layer roofing. I was told by rep that double layer roofing is no longer acceptable In Michigan. So we had to do another tear off. I just checked with Michigan roofing codes and there is no such change in layers. Double layer is acceptable in all Michigan cities. I also checked Go To Roofing for verbiage. Posted on their site shows they do double layer roofing. I don't like being conned. I believed rep as being trustworthy. I did have an option but it wasn't given to me. I called roofing due to possible leak in upstairs back bedroom. read more

The company Rep spent a substantial amount of time educating and comparing his results with other roofing inspections that we had performed. We hired Go To Roofing to replace our old roofing system on 7/15/2024. We went through the final walk through with the project manager on 7/17/2024. I indicated to him about the damage on our concrete driveway that was not there before the work done on 7/15/2024. Also I sent the additional message in regard to the damage done with the picture on 7/22/2024. And on 7/25/2024 we received the message from the project manager,stating that he would be willing to pay the damage done. So I hired the concrete repair company and was given to me an estimate, so we sent the message with an estimate to the project manager on 7/25/2024. But since then I have not heard from them. The new roofing itself seems to be reasonably ok at this time. My hope is that Go To Roofing understands my concerns and solve the problems ,even for the sake of the long term consequences of the company's reputation and credibulity. I would post the damaged concrete drive way picture when necessary. read more

GoTo Roofing did a fantastic job in all aspects!! From the initial meeting with Alden (one of their project assessors) to the day to day work with Mickey and his team I couldn't be happier. My project was more complicated that most and took a few weeks due to the amount of repair work needed. Mickey and his crew kept me up to date every day with what was going on and status. Every night before the crew left they packed up their tools and materials and made sure the areas were clear of debris!! They did such a good job at this that the night we got hit with 60Mph+ winds nothing was blown around or scattered!! And we had old cedar shake that had to be removed, which certainly complicated the job. While not the least expensive they did an excellent job on my difficult to access location with difficult roof. Completed the project in a day as promised on the date requested. Cleaned up everything well and damaged nothing. Crew worked as a unit and had up to 15 people on site and even hand stocked shingles to the roof since the stock truck could not make the drive corners. Get a thumbs up from me! read more

I called them because of the "GREAT" reviews on here. They should change their name to Go Somewher Else Roofing! Communication is HORRIBLE from the estimator. Set up of the appointment was easy thru email. I like email because it shows "proof". Here is the details for my siding project on a SMALL 960 sq.ft house that I needed siding for just the back of house, HALF of the gable end and trim work in the front. ( Out of the 5 companies I called, 3 submitted the price in 1-2 days) 1-12-21- Eugene came out for an estimate on time. That was great! 1-15-21- Still NO price. I emailed. Jessi contacted the estimator and asked him to contact me to let me know when I would receive the price. 1-16-21- Still NOTHING from Eugene. I contacted Jessi again. (saturday i know no one would respond on a saturday) 1-18-21- NOTHING from Eugene. I contacted Jessi again. Jessi said I would get the price in the evening. Received the price about 945pm with a long email saying how good this company is, blah, blah, blah. I emailed Eugene WITHIN 15 minutes of the price asking questions and telling him he missed items on the quote. 1-19-21- I contacted Jessi letting them know that I emailed Eugene because I have questions. Jessi forwarded another email to him. Eugene responded at 345pm saying "thanks for reaching out", I will respond soon. OK, if you can type a little note saying you will respond, then just answer my questions and revise the price. When you wait a WEEK to give a price, you miss things. Why should I wait any longer? 1-20-21 NO communication from Eugene about my questions or price. 1-21-21- NO communication as of 8am as I am typing this. Eugene quoted me a Polaris siding. I never heard of it. So I went to their site. The siding he quoted me for DIDN"T have the color I requested on their site. I told him it has to match the carport and I said exactly what color I needed. *** This was done in the middle of winter, during a pandemic and yet it took a WEEK to get a quote. I used to work for a roofing company a long time ago and there isn't much work in the winter time. NO EXCUSES!!! IF the company responds on here, DON"T make any excuse! I have the emails! YOU messed up! You could've easily made a sale. *** I also saw somewhere (maybe facebook) that a " general contractor" who does business with these guys, needed a fast quote from them to get a price to his customer and these guys responded fast for him. I GUESS ITS ALL ABOUT WHO YOU KNOW! I hired someone else for $1,000 more, but I know that company will be fine and their communication was a lot better than this company. You can't always go with the lowest price!! Everyone was super nice and super Professional from day one. Everything they were doing was explained to me while they were doing it, and sometimes the day before they did it. Our job was really big, but they never complained and actually complimented us on our choice of a historical home. There were some unforeseen costs (replacing rotted soffit boards, chimney repair), but they were all fully explained to us and the estimate for them was accurate. Our current roof is about 15 years old and last summer after a strong rainstorm, we had a small leak appear in the ceiling of our entryway. It worsened after this weekend's rain and I called 4 area roofing companies. Go To Roofing had the first available appointment. Steve Distelzweig arrived this morning and after an easy introduction and overview of our problem, he changed his shoes, grabbed his 'clown car' ladder (it's pretty awesome, in fact!) out of the truck and hit the roof. After about 10 minutes, he came down and showed me the pictures of the problem area and set the expectation that we'll likely need to replace our roof within 5 years (i.e., completely in line with life expectancy of shingles). He proposed two options: to cut out and replace a large section or replace a flashing square, seal with caulk and monitor it. Given the age of the roof, he recommended the latter and offered to do the work while he was here. It would have been just as easy for him to push for the bigger solution or to schedule the job with a crew but opted to be customer-centric instead. Long story short: call Steve at Go To Roofing and ask him what solutions he has for your project. Thank you, Steve! read more

We contracted GoTo Roofing to perform a full tear off and replacement of our roof, to tear down a small unused chimney where rain would leak into our attic, and to rebuild from the roofline up our main, 2-flue chimney. We got quotes for the entire job from three local companies and GoTo had a reasonable quote and an excellent warranty. We're extremely happy with the quality of the entire project and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for similar work. Steve was an excellent project manager and had answers to all of my questions. He spent a ton of time showing me the materials in the warehouse, explaining the differences between them, and demo'ing why certain shingles were better than others. I went into this knowing nothing about roof's and came out knowing a lot more. Scott was a great resource when finalizing the project details and working through getting the county permits successfully closed out. Wayne did an incredible job rebuilding the chimney and was able to find bricks that matched so perfectly it's nearly impossible to tell it's brand new. The entire roofing team knocked the replacement out the day after promptly and accurately. They discovered quite a bit of rot and had to use 14 sheets of OSB to repair it. We ended up with the Black Oak, Malarkey Legacy shingles w/ the 30 year fully-transferable materials & labor warranty from GoTo. The only mistake was that the wrong color drip edge was installed (black instead of brown). If you need a replacement roof and some masonry work done, I'd say just go straight to GoTo Roofing and ask for Steve. read more

Disregarding Covid-19 restrictions. Not one face-mask in use, staff inches apart at times face to face. Traveling together in the same vehicles. The pictures on their website do not match the images of the staff working on the house in person. Zero protection gear while the rest of the state is sitting home not working. They came over the day after I called them and repaired an area on my roof that another contractor had botched when he had replaced my roof just 2 months ago. The team at GoTo Roofing was fantastic to work with. In November, we chose them to replace our roof the following spring, so they sent a crew out to take a look at the roof so they could patch it where they felt it was necessary. Flash forward a few months, we started to notice a leak in the roof, so we called them to see when we'd be scheduled in the spring. It was still cold outside so the date was still up in the air. That didn't matter, however, when they sent someone out again, to take another look and do a second patch. Our roof was completely replaced a few short weeks after that (when the weather warmed up for good), but they were on top of things from start to finish and I can't recommend them enough. read more

They fixed the hole in my roof but didn't put the shingles up that the estimate said. There's this non-matching patch on the roof and it looks bad. They said someone would come out to put the shingles on and never did. I'll never go with this company again. read more
