However, I lived in Connecticut and then Brooklyn for awhile before moving back to GA almost 10 years later. Living in cities with easily accessible public transportation (Metro North/NYC Subway) pushed learning to the backburner. So, basically, I'm an older student genuinely learning for the first time. I purchased the 10 hour package. And, I admit I'm an overly cautious driver and make rookie mistakes. Even so, I'm determined to learn to become competent and realize that means taking directions and learning from my errors. So, what do I think about Just Drive Right? Scheduling was easy. My instructor was extremely professional and never was late to a scheduled session. My instructor was experienced, knew the rules of the road to a "T" and would demonstrate any errors I made on a tablet so I can better envision how to improve. I'm not hypersensitive to strong direction. Because you WILL be corrected STRONGLY. Understandably, any mistake, even a small one, could potentially cost you your life (and the life of others). There would be days that my instructor would go over time to assist (which definitely wasn't expected). You are in very good hands and can trust that you (or your child) is sitting with an experienced driver. The costs of a package are more than reasonable. ****UPDATED REVIEW****: Just finished my last lesson with Jeanelle and JDR. Turns out it was simply a misunderstanding. If you go to JDR. I requested a physical workbook due to my eyesight and was told to be at the Duluth office to pick it up on Monday by 4:00 (they are not open on weekends) on the day of the class (1/12/26). I left work early and arrived by 4:00 only to find they were closed. I was told the office manager left early and I had to view the workbook electronically. That was just the first red flag. I realized early in the class that the instructor did not seem to like me by his responses to my answers to some of his questions. I was trying to show that I was present and participating, but he was condescending and he belittled/berated me if he disagreed with my responses. By the last day, he questioned in class if the children that I work with even like me (the classes are recorded). This was personally not a positive experience for me. I would not recommend. Finally, the communication appears to be primarily via text messages, and the beginning of the thread seems to be automated (at least over the weekend) since I asked questions that were never answered and the responses were generic. It asked if wanted to participate in another program, but when I asked what it was, I didn't receive an answer. If you text them with issues during the week, an actual person will respond, it just takes a while.

My intake call was compassionate, friendly and understanding. As an adult driver, I felt embarrassed, but the individual who took my call was so understanding. I had lessons set up with Ms. Karen, who I HIGHLY recommend. She was patient and didn't push. After 10 lessons with Ms. Karen, I am now driving normally to my place of work and leisure. They took 3 2-hr sessions together. First on the normal road & around town. Second day was practicing parking, etc. Day 3 was hwy 316 & 85.... at 5:30-7:30 pm on a Monday.
