He said he had the parts in his truck and could have the job done on the spot. He said before I start, I want to let you know it will be $375.00 for labor. Being a Sunday morning last second and needing my garage door fixed asap, I was ok paying $375 for 30 minutes of work. When the work was complete, it was clear that the springs were not new as the colored paint had mostly worn off and the springs had rust marks all over them. I figured he had them in his truck and for $375, I was ok working with the parts he had on hand. That's when he sent an invoice to my phone for $4,621. He had the springs listed for $1,493 each, and the 10 rollers at $126 each, plus the $375 labor. I knew this was overpriced and googled the parts, seeing $40 to $80 for a pair of springs, and rollers at $5 each. I told him he didn't communicate these prices and with no written quote ahead of time and no contract, I would not be paying the bill. After back and forth on the phone with the owner Alon Bitton, we negotiated a price of $868 total which I did pay just to resolve the problem and move on.
