Representative from this company came to my mother's home and never contacted her afterwards with an estimate.

This was the second time to use A1 Glass. First time they were responsive even though they installed the wrong sky light cover on my home from the one requested. First one had two covers. Outer cover was a sunscreen. Hot Sun comes into the bathroom now which should not. Second time time I used them was Sept 2021. I called and ordered 3 -1/4" thick pieces of glass for cabinet shelving. This was a Wednesday, was told it would be ready Thursday or Friday. It wasn't. Called back on the next Tuesday and asked and it wasn't but they would call me back. They didn't call. Called back on Thursday. A fellow I hadn't dealt with said it was ready so I drove 30 miles to their store. The guy that said it was ready was at the counter. I asked why they didn't call me. He said 'I called but nobody answered'. Assuming he hasn't heard of leaving a message. The same fellow took my money and was done with me as I picked up my non-taped edges, non wrapped in paper glass up off their floor rack after paying and left. Got home and realized they had not finished the edges of the glass panels. They appear to have have sanded it with 80 grit sand paper. Rough, chipped and sharp. I called back and asked Christie for the Owner. He wasn't there but would "call me back". Same old story, he wasn't interested enough in what I thought to call me back. Never did. I paid $100 with tax for those three pieces with rough edges and slow, shoddy service. Should have gone to Lowe's and got it done on the spot when I needed it. I spend two hours in my shop with 220/320 grit sandpaper wet sanding the edges to make them usable. Meant to post a negative review before now but just bumped into a glass covered table with nice smoothed edges and remembered I had forgot an important review to match all the other negative A1 Glass reviews on this site. First time they didn't deliver was shame on them but the second time made me feel like I'm the fool. read more

Being up front I had no dog in this fight. Longhorn Realty scheduled the work order and it took 2 months to get it approved and then installed. The installer arrived as scheduled and immediately replaced the broken window. The window shattered taking it out, but installer cleaned up the shards quickly. We hope to use them again,as this house has cheap builder grade windows in it. read more

We usually go with Killeen Glass and have never had any issues. The one time we had to use someone else due to scheduling conflicts turned out to be the worse decision we have ever made. Our office had a home under contract that needed two double pane windows replaced... A-1 Glass & Window came out the next day to take measurements and told us they would have the windows installed with-in a week. The day they were to be installed, we got a call From A1 Glass & Window stating that one of the windows broke during installation. We had to wait another week for the replacement to come in. We met them at the house for installation and as it turned out, they took the wrong measurements delaying us yet another week. We were told however that it would be installed within the next two days (that Friday). We called that same Friday and were told that the windows would be on the truck and would be installed that day. That didn't happen. We had to call the following Monday. We had to call numerous times as we were told we would be called with-in the hour but never received any updates. When we called, we were told that we were an inconvenience and that the job would have already been completed if we hadn't kept calling. When we did speak with someone, we were left on hold for extended periods of time. Many time when we would call prior, we could not get anyone on the phone and never received a call back. We did finally get a confirmation for 5:30PM installation but no call stating it had been done. Poor customer service and treatment all the way around. Would not recommenced to anyone. read more

This company does poor work, it takes them 3 months to do anything and also they change the work request without first talking to you they assume what you need not what you want, also STEVE is very rude and hangs up on customers read more

So unfortunately, I wouldn't even give this company the 1-star rating I'm forced to give. I called to get an estimate for a rental property we own to replace the windows in one unit completely, and was told they couldn't get me an estimate for nearly 3 weeks. However, they said they could try to squeeze me in when they were in the area. I left my name and phone number and waited for them to get back to me. After about 2 weeks I got a call from them, but for the wrong person. They left me a voicemail, but for someone else who needed solar screens and didn't even live in the same city as my property- I hope they got back to her at least. So, I just think it's an honest mistake and call to find out if they got my estimate. Well, the receptionist "tried" to help, placing me on hold without telling me what was happening and trying to get Joe, who left the voicemail, to talk to me. Joe REFUSED to talk to me- the exact word they used to tell me that he didn't leave the voicemail and didn't want to deal with me (how did I know this person's name, address, and what they needed if they didn't leave me the voicemail?). I asked if I could just call back and ask to talk to Joe directly and if there was anything else that could be done, to which the receptionist replied "It's not worth my time." Oh, and they didn't even have my name or my address in their system, so they really had no clue who I was or what I was needing! It's a total shame that this company is even in the customer service business, because this was seriously one of the worst companies I've dealt with. read more

Can't seem to get anything right. Came out and measured and gave me an estimate but only for one window pane when both were broken. Then ordered two panes of the same size when i told them they were different sized. Then lost my order after I paid the deposit. Then kept me on hold for 10 minutes which gave me time to write this review. Just tried calling and got a busy signal. read more

My husband chose this business because they were local and in business since 1974. We had three windows replaced and 2 sliding glass doors. It was not cheap but well worth the updates. The installers were great, super friendly, professional and efficient. When we had problems with the sliding doors(they are extremely heavy, difficult to open and the keyhole is butted up against the handle making locking/unlocking difficult) it took several calls to get someone to call us back. I am not sure if the receptionist is the problem there or not. An installer did come out several times to grease and "adjust" the doors but we were finally told after I went to the business in person that, "The doors ARE heavy. They stick but should get better." The doors(double glass with gas in between) have gotten a bit better but I still have trouble opening them and my 10 yr old nephew cannot open them himself. I wish we had been informed of this before purchase as we would have gone with a different model. read more
