The packaging for my order was very neat and organized with my sauces and silverware in its own bag to prevent spillage. Lunch hibachi even came with both soup and salad!! Although the fire first startled my almost-5-year-old, once he got used to the heat, he appreciated the show! There is a LOT of food here. Come very hungry. The hibachi guy was entertaining and the food was tasty. I had the scallops, but I was too full to finish them and honestly they tasted even better a few hours after we got home. I really enjoyed the fried rice too. The noodles were a little heavy for my taste. Between all of that and the salad and miso soup, this feast was fit for a small army. Fun experience. My son especially enjoyed the onion volcano and the rice being flipped directly into my mouth from the grill. I never think of going there, but my son's father had been wanting to go at some point during one of his visits to Canton. Nice service and fun environment. Come hungry. The service was good and the food I would rate maybe a 6.5/10. The ambiance is really dark inside and gives off kinda weird nightclub ish vibes. But what kinda threw me off was I think there used to be a fountain or something in the restaurant. There was a strange damp odor that ruined my dining experience. I used to really like this place, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Tonight I walked in and stood at the front desk waiting to be seated. The restaurant was not busy at all and there were plenty of open seats everywhere. Despite that, I stood there for about 15 minutes completely ignored. Multiple staff members walked right up to the desk while I was standing there and didn't acknowledge me at all. The host who seemed to be responsible for seating people kept coming to the desk, fiddling with things, and then walking away again without saying a single word. At one point she literally grabbed a washcloth and wandered off into the other room like she was suddenly very interested in cleaning something instead of doing the job she was standing right in front of. She came back, walked away again, talked to someone else, came back again, and even stood there reading a letter in front of me while I was still waiting to be seated. Not once did anyone say "hello," "we'll be right with you," or acknowledge that a customer had been standing there the whole time. Eventually I just gave up and left. On the way out I took one last look at the fish tank in the front -- because unfortunately it will probably be the last time I ever see it. It's a shame, because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Basic hospitality starts with simply acknowledging the person standing in front of you, and somehow that didn't happen tonight. Being born and raised from California, this place hits the spot for a small town feel! My wonderful BIL and SIL took us there to try and it was great! This restaurant serves good Japanese food for this area. I have only ordered off the restaurant menu and have never been on the hibachi side. The lunch bentos are a good sized portion. The teriyaki chicken is breast and that's a plus. I have also had the chicken katsu and that is pretty good. They do have the best Japanese ginger salad dressing. I prefer that over a mayo based dressing any day. The service is not always attentive but sometimes they are swamped. I also think they could clean up a little bit. read more

We tried this place as just somewhere different. We ordered togo, and you do have to go in, there is no curbside. The wait time to pick up was long....about an hour, which I though was a little long. Upon walking into the restaurant, it was packed in the lobby, uncomfortably packed with people. I tried the chicken and steak habachi, and it was ok. It wasn't the best I've had, but also not the worst. It came with salad that was pretty good. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. The dressing was different, and not like anything I've tried before, but it was good. It is not a place I will go frequently, but I might give maybe lunch time a try at some point so to maybe try it when less people are there and it's not so busy. read more

Food was very good. We ordered the Signature Roll, which had a really generous portion of crab meat and the caviar on top gave it just the right amount of salty finish. We, also ordered the Earthquake roll which was a delicious mixture of sauces and tastes. This was my favorite, although the Signature was a close second. The Spicy California roll was the first time that I tried cooked/baked anything that was sushi. It was good, but nothing to go over the top for. Finally, we had. The Manhattan roll (raw). FOOD POISONING ALERT ‼ I am visiting family for the holiday from out of town and I remembered this place so I took my husband there today and I have FULL BLOWN food poisoning. I have been vomiting all hours of the night. It hit me about an hour after I left there. My family and I had an awesome time here last week! Pros: It's really kid friendly! The staff interact very playfully with children. Our cook was super courteous and seemed to love what he did. That's always awesome to see. I sampled scallops because my mother chose that and we tried each other's , the scallops were SO GOOD! The food didn't take too long to come out and server was great about getting our drinks and plates cleared in a timely manner. Really beautiful place. Napkins were really beautiful and I definitely saw they had attention to every little detail. They were so kind when we were leaving and informed us about it half priced sushi nights on Monday! So excited to go again! Cons: Miso soup tasted a lot different than other Japanese Steakhouses I've been too. Wasn't good. Vegetables were uncooked. I like them firm but these were basically raw and weren't appetizing because of that. I actually wouldn't eat them. Seated us at a full table and were left squished in a corner. I totally know that this is normal but there were lots of other places to seat us where we weren't so squished in. It was uncomfortable. Physically and emotionally while trying to conversation and eat. Overall: I would totally go again and would recommend this place to my friends. This was my first hibachi experience, and boy, was it fun! For anyone that hasn't done hibachi, you get sat at a table around a flattop grill and they cook in front of you. You will be sat with people you don't know, which is part of the fun! While cooking, they will throw food at you to catch and squeeze sake into your mouth through a bottle. They have a great menu with options to accommodate for allergies. I picked an entree that had an assortment of meats and it was all very tasty. The guy that was cooking out food was such a gem to watch. This place tends to get very busy! They have a regular dining side as well. One thing that was very annoying, is they will sing the disney happy birthday song and come out with a drum and it seemed like there was ten birthdays there during my short visit! Of course it's great that they make it really fun for people for their birthdays, but maybe they should tone it down a little because it gets seriously loud. Hands down our favorite sushi spot in the area. We have been frequenting here for years, and even during the pandemic. Staff always has masks on and there are plastic dividers up at the bar. Jordan is our favorite server, she is awesome! All the servers are good, but she is our fave. Drinks always full and rarely left waiting for anything. We usually sit on the table side, but occasionally do hibachi as well. Our food is always great with large portions and reasonable prices. The sushi chefs know us when we sit at the bar and if they are not busy will chat for a bit. They have done special requests when we have asked. Always amazing food. Service is always spot on. We took my mother-in-law here for her birthday and she had an absolutely amazing time.

Simply put: The food is amazing. Absolutely wonderful and amazing 'Edible Art'. We prefer the Sashimi Deluxe and the Summer Roll. (The summer roll does not contain rice but is wrapped with cucumber. Amazing!) Also, the Jalapeño Yellowtail is a fantastic appetizer. If you're a sushi or sashimi fan, make sure you let them know when you are approaching the hostess station. Quicker seating. You can also order hibachi on the Traditional Side, just without the show. It allows for quicker seating even if it's crowded. Be sure to try the Nigori Ozeki for a wonderful cloudy sake. Full bodied and sweet, it's perfect before and after and compliments each and every piece of sushi/sashimi you'll try. I would also recommend the Tuna Belly or Uni alongside the appetizer. They only come as two pieces so order appropriately for your party. In short: this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. While the appearance may be slightly Americanized, the food is traditional and wonderful. You won't regret it. Out of the 50+ times of being here over the years, we've never had poor service. read more
