Gary was great. Sunday morning I spring out of bed to tend to the animals. I was house sitting the house next door and locked my keys in the neighbor's house. Thank goodness I had my phone in my pocket. I was foggy headed and panicking. Gary was not able to unlock my 2007 Nissan 350z. I had to prop the window open with one of his tools while he was trying to pick the other sides lock. A local fireman saw that I had the window prop opened and helped us unlock my car. If it wasn't for the fireman I would've had to break my car's window to get it open. Although Gary did nothing to help with opening my car, aside from having the tools available. He still charged us $65 cash, or else it would've been $75 with a credit card since he would have to report it to the IRS. Do not call him if you have a sports car or Luxury car, they are too complex for Gary. read more

Gary looked at the car, asked questions, called a friend and spoke to him about the problem, then proceeded to talk to him about some personal business for a few minutes. He couldn't pick my locks! I locked myself out of my house. He took my call and arrived about 25 min later. Tried the back door with a brush, then the front door with a brush, then the front door with airbags, then a brush again, then the back door again. After 45 min I explained that my roommate would be home soon and I wouldn't need his help at that point. He asked me to pay a fee anyway if he didn't get me into the house before that, but I didn't have access to cash or credit because they were locked in the house, so success was his only option. He tried about 5 min longer at the back door, then announced he was giving up. He packed his bag and walked to the car without so much as a handshake! DO NOT USE THIS LOCKSMITH!!!! I called Gary to re-key a smart lock. He said he could do it no problem and would be there between 2:30 and 3:00 PM. He got here 30 minutes late at 3:30 PM. I showed him the smart lock we currently had and he said he didn't know how to remove it but he would try. My husband ended up removing it for him and I asked him if he was sure he could install a new smart lock since he was unable to uninstall the old one. He said he could and pulled out a regular Kwikset lock. I showed him that we were replacing our Lockly lock with a Halo Kwikset. He said those are electric locks not smart locks and he doesn't know how to install those. Then he said we still had to pay him $95 for his drive out here and $10 to remove the old lock (WHICH MY HUSBAND DID!!!!) We told him we were unsatisfied and he acted oblivious until we finally just told him to get out of our house. We previously used a different locksmith (who was not available today) and asked him install a smart lock and there was absolutely no confusion. He knew what we were referring to and showed up ready to do the job. He was also significantly cheaper. read more

Never have used this company before. Someone recommended me to call. I did it and it was a Very bad customer service experience by phone. I asked for information about a key for my car and the gentleman was very impatient. He only answered two of my questions and said good bye and hanged up. Excellent! I lost key to my door along with my address. This was 9pm on sat 7/5 - middle of holiday weekend. Called A-1 & got a quick response. The service guy on call was on another job - so the owner - Gary Jacobs came himself. He was there within a half hour. Changed my front door locks, made as many keys as I wanted & fixed it quickly. He also noticed the door needed to be pulled hard to close and offered to fix it at no charge - rescrewing the metal part on door itself. This is not something a locksmith normally does. I gave him some screws to do it, they did the job but he recommended I get longer screws to make it better. A very nice guy, very pleasant & a reasonable charge.
