Note: I didn't get anything serviced here, this is solely about their integrity. I drove down from Temple to get my kid's iPhone repaired. Had some screen issues, it was out of warranty, and this was the closest place with great reviews. When I got here, the gentleman essentially told me that he could fix it, told me what the price is, and despite having the job pretty much in hand, took a moment to refer me back to Apple. He even went so far as to explain what was going on in the iPhone, proceeded to lookup the issue online and found an Apple service advisory about the symptoms that we were experiencing, printed it off for me so I can present it to Apple, and sent me on my way. Apple did ultimately fix the screen, free of charge. Where alot of places try to run their ignorant customers through the ringer just because they can, the great people here took a moment to make sure we got what we needed done at the best possible price(free). If you're that concerned about us getting treated right when you made absolutely $0 off of us, then I'm certain my device will be in good hands when I actually need work done. NOT GOOD for IPad repair. My 8th generation IPad was not charging up so I took it to A-1 on Wednesday, July 5th. I was led to believe it could be repaired as they said they replaced the battery in it 2 days after I left it there. Today is Monday, July 17th. I called them this morning thinking that 1) they simply don't have the expertise to fix IPads and 2) They're too busy and not enough staff to work on it. I was glad they didn't charge me anything. I took my device to Geek Squad at the Georgetown TX Best Buy and they repaired it within minutes. NO Charge. I also purchased 2 apple chargers (1 for home and one for my car). Glad the issue is resolved. read more

After they told me the battery was the problem with my Ipad, they replace it and I still have issues with it, took it back and they told me it was the tri star not the battery, I left it there for 6 weeks and they couldn't fix it, after more the $200 this is how I pick it up. They did not charge me for the tri start but they Screen and new battery $200 read more

Experienced issues with my phone after they repaired it. After it was repaired I sold to a 3rd party then literal days after being sold, the phone screen started messing up again (no physical damage and now same issue that they supposedly fixed) I emailed, called and left voice mails to A1 and I was ignored for weeks and still have not heard back from anyone regarding the $400 I paid for a phone repair that they seemingly didn't really repair. read more

It was a super disappointing experience. The place was highly recommended by another repair place. So I decided a long drive should be worth I t. But I think over the last year, the service and technicians at A-1 have changed. First of all, do not expect fast service. They are so backed up that even to diagnose a problem it takes a week of you not having your device. Second, they notified me everything was fixed and to come pick up the device, and when I did, it turned out the email was sent by mistake. Which is not an easy "mistake" drive for me because I am 35 minutes away from the place. Lastly, the place reeks of smoke and weed, so I was a little concerned about leaving my device there for that long in the first place. Overall, I would not recommend this place. It may have been good in the past, but technicians and front desk people have changed and it is just terrible. read more

Friendly folks, technical expertise and state of the art equipment. Within the first day they determined my completely dead iPhone had a shorted capacitor in the audio section. Using micro electronics workstation including a ultra miniature soldering head they successfully replaced the surface mount capacitor which is an incredibly small component. I cannot recommend A1 highly enough! I went a few weeks ago (bc of reviews on here) to have my cracked iPhone screen fixed. The experience was awesome! Quick, friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. We love supporting local, family owned businesses and they're a great example of why! UPDATE: Yesterday I noticed my screen completely separating from my phone. I immediately called Amanda and she said one of their suppliers, who had historically been a quality company, had apparently started sending shoddy product bc this had happened to a few people with my exact phone. She assured me they would fix it and was so nice and apologetic. I took it over that afternoon and waited about 20 minutes while they fixed everything. They were so upset about the inconvenience to their customers (and I'm sure the $$$ this was costing them). They even mentioned wanting to call customers with that screen replaced in the last few months to make sure there were no problems. WHO DOES THAT?!? Amazing service and such nice people. read more

I screwed up an iPhone screen replacement and blew a microscopic fuse. Left a voicemail describing my issue, and got a call back less than half an hour later telling me to come in and they'll check it out for me which put me instantly at ease. Chris had fixed my micro soldering issue in 15 minutes, then gave me tips on how to avoid the problem in the future in a way I could understand it. All of this at a better price than what online mail-in repair websites were offering for such a specific and technical fix. All around great customer service and great work.
