Firstly, when the associate picked up didn't state the company name, I had to ask her in case I got the wrong company. Then I told her what I needed and was left on hold for quite a while. When I finally got to speak to the associate, she said the item was not able to be replaced. Once I hung up, I found the item was freely available. If I could give this business a ZERO star I would. Warning: DO NOT trust them for sewing machine service unless you want them to NOT clean your machine. They will not clean it as a normal service would include and will over-oil the entire thing. I called them out in their misrepresentation and they called me to "threaten me that if I left this review that they would post their store video of me" which "paints me in a very poor light", when in fact, I am calling the repair tech out on his bul_shit. Beware, see photos. The tech was supposed to service my older machine, which was working just fine when I took it in for a basic service/cleaning, with the exception of the needle lever. read more

I use my serger for work and relaid this to the repair tech when I spoke whim. I was told a day to bring it in and he could look at it that day. Brought it in and went 3 days with no communication. I expected at least a phone call to tell me if they could fix it. I called there and was told that the tech was walking in and he would call me. 2 hrs no phone call. I called back and I was left on hold for 15 minutes. Finally someone asked who I was holding for, when I told them she said oh he is out on service calls. I gave up and picked it up not repaired. When I got there I was informed that it couldn't be fixed and rushed out of the store before other customers could over hear the issue I was having. read more

Well my vacuum broke at the most an opportune time and I thought what the heck I'm just gonna go look and see what A1 would have that's used. Now I wasn't expecting to leave there that day with a vacuum but these people went above and beyond to get me fit it up with the right machine. The treatment I got there I felt like I was royalty these people are so kind and so courteous and the desire to please their customers, it was just an awesome experience and my vacuum is probably the best vacuum I've ever owned! it's a simplicity and let me warn you you better have a hold of it when you turn it on because if you don't it's flying into the next room! read more

I was thinking that this is a fabric store like one I had at home in va. I was right, but I was greeted with a friendly face when I walked in store. I told my hubby this is better then home the fabric was amazing. I asked about there sales or coupons. I was told to to bring in 20 cans fit food drive and I would get 20% off. Read many of the reviews left here. I can echo the sentiments of many. I dropped off my rug doctor for repairs in June, 2022. They require a $25 fee to investigate the problem with the broken machine and were to call me with an estimate of repair. I did not hear from them for a couple of months so I called to inquire. The repair tech wasn't available and they promised me a call back and took my information. Another month passed with no response so I called again. I was promised again a call back after they looked into the situation but again no call back. Finally in September I spoke to a technician who said that they needed to replace the switch on the machine which I suspected was the problem. He said he would order the switch from rug doctor and they would have the machine fixed in a week. Another six weeks passed with no word. I called again and they told me it would be fixed the next day. I went to pick it up the following week. A disheveled man I believe to be the owner or manager went in back to get my machine. He's apparently the father of one of the technicians. He had every excuse for the six month wait. He told me it was not the switch but the plug on the machine. He wanted another $160 for the repairs he never gave me an estimate on. The plug he put on the end of my cord was used and dirty. I asked if this repair was worth $180. That's when he told me it was an internal part in the motor that was faulty. You could tell he was a pro at baffling people with BS. This was not written on the work order. He had every excuse you can think of, difficulties hiring people, difficulties training people, "I have 100 machines back there for repairs". I would've appreciated them telling me they couldn't do the work if they were having problems. I would also conclude this man to be a liar. I would caution anyone from doing business with this place. It used to be run by good people and I've been going there for 30 years. I've bought a new sewing machine from them and a high end vacuum but I will never do business with them again as I truly believe the new owners? to be very dishonest people. The problem is I don't know where else I will take my vacuum cleaner when it needs repairs. I had similar problems when they repaired my vacuum cleaner about a year ago. If you decide to get anything repaired there you might as well stab yourself in the eye with a fork as it will be less painful. If you decide to buy one of their high-end sewing machines or vacuums understand the warrantee will require you to be at the mercy of their repair department. read more

The nicest people work here! They are prompt, courteous, attentive and take the time to answer all of your questions. I bought my embroidery machine from them and because I had such great service, my good friend came in a week later and bought her embroidery machine as well. They will go above and beyond to help you! Highly recommend this place! DO NOT listen to the negative people or comments on YELP!!! I know how hard these people work! read more

The customer service is very bad here the manager is very pushy and a liar he lied about the price of a vaccuum and was called out on it then he lied to the owner about it they were not willing to make it right overall a terrible business save your money and dont ever go here total scammers and a failing small buisness!!!! read more

The customer service is horrid. Excuses after excuses and after 2 months I gave up and picked up my UN-repaired equipment.

Very disappointed called to see about getting my old unit serviced, and the original guy that installed it, no longer works for A-1. I really liked him, friendly, good sense, knows his stuff and just an overall good speaker and knowledgeable guy, if this was for him, they'd get a 5 star from me. But the 2 stars is because all i needed was a service. Not to be told about new stuff, new parts, upgrades, what you can give SELL ME, not give me as it was worded, plus the guy just never stops talking. In all the years I've been going to A-1 looks like I need to find a new place, the sales guy is annoying and service guy is well, find a new job! read more

Great service. Staff is awesome and selection of vacuums, sewing machines and janitorial supplies is the best in the valley.

I bought an expensive vacuum from these folks a few years ago. During the time I owned it, every year or so I had to take it back for repairs. Repairs while I had it cost me almost as much as I paid for this so called "high end" vacuum. I took it back today and asked them what they would give me for it as it needed another $35.00 part. They told me they would give me $20.00 for it with the new box of bags I had for it (Bags cost about $20.00. They also told me they would fix it and sell it for a few hundred dollars as this model had been discontinued (the power head alone for this model costs over $300.00. Had I spent $100.00 a year buying a cheap vacuum at a box store (that seems to clean just as well) I would have saved hundreds of dollars during the time I owned the one they sold me. They have lost all of my future business. read more

They have a great variety of janitorial products. Their prices are a bit high. They have some quality vacuums great for businesses.

I have left my vacuum with them twice and both times they never called when it was done. This is a business vacuum so I need it to work. The first time they fixed it but then also proceeded to change the brushes, which I did not ask them to do and charged me extra to do so even though I told them that I didn't ask them to do that! The second time was me giving them another chance. Well, I'll never use them again or buy anything from them. My vacuum has been there for 6 weeks now and I finally called them to figure out what the problem was. They said they actually fixed it in 3 days because the note said I needed it (I still do!) but then they proceeded to NEVER cal me! read more

I took my sewing machine to them 6 weeks ago. I didn't hear anything after 2 weeks, so I called. They wanted me to approve a higher estimate than they first gave me, which I did. I didn't hear anything for another couple of weeks, so I called again. I was told they were checking to see if a part was available, as my machine is an older model. They asked for my name and number and said they would give me a call back. I waited two days and did not hear from them. I called again and was told that the repair guy did not have time to work on my machine because he was helping out up front. I asked if the part was available and they said it was and it cost $10.00. So I checked out prices online and found that I could buy a new machine cheaper than A-1 Vacuum estimated the cost to fix my machine. I called back and told them to cancel the service order. I picked up my sewing machine after work and ordered a new machine online and will have it in two days. I was frustrated with their lack of communication and lack of sense of urgency in fixing my machine. To add insult to injury, young girl was helping me when I went to pick my machine. Another male employee told her, "It's over there on the floor", regarding my machine. He never made eye contact with me. No one apologized to me for my poor experience or the fact that they had my machine for 6 weeks and did nothing with it. I will not be back. read more
