Actually this Best Buy had to be the first time I went into one and actually got served with courtesy and with someone who knew what they were talking about. I need a cellphone booster and the young man knew exactly what I was looking for explained what they do the ones they had, the difference and what I should consider. I was pleasantly surprised because I have had such horrible experiences at Best Buy before that I had vowed never to shop at one again. I've never been to this particular store so kudos. My only problem was their check out area was really confusing to where you go, or where to stand to be next to be waited on there were no roped off area or anything to lead customers to the next checkout. I called to inquire about coming in to buy a laptop and have it set up. I was told that to do that I would have to schedule an appointment with the Geek Squad if one was available and that they would have to keep the machine for a period of time. I asked if that meant hours or days; the operator said days with no inquiry as to what I would need done (all I need is basic office programs like Office, Adobe, and Chrome). I must express my severe dissatisfaction with Best Buy Kalispell. On March 16th, following AppleCare's instructions, I brought my damaged phone to this location for a replacement. Geek Squad evaluated it as catastrophic and sent it to a third-party repair hub--without my knowledge, not an Apple facility. Since March 20th, I have been trapped in a cycle of false promises. Best Buy refuses to accept responsibility, claiming Apple has it, yet Apple has no record. Despite escalating the issue with two senior advisors and multiple visits, I have seen no progress. They continuously deceive me with false updates, claiming my phone is being worked on when it remains untouched. I have been without my device for a month. This is not mere incompetence--it's a deliberate evasion of accountability. I am prepared to pursue legal action. I demand that Best Buy corporate investigate this matter immediately. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at any retail store, period. I called the Kalispell Best Buy ahead of time and was told I could walk in to have my Mac Mini serviced. Based on that, I paid for a taxi to get there. When I arrived on May 27th around 10:00 AM, a Geek Squad employee named Tim greeted me with a dismissive, annoyed attitude and told me I needed an appointment--completely contradicting what I was told over the phone. Then Heath started checking me in. I calmly explained that I had taken a taxi and was just frustrated with the misinformation. I mentioned Tim's rudeness. Heath's response? He refused to help me, told me to "go somewhere else," and accused me of being rude for expressing a concern. He only offered to help if I "came back friendly." It was condescending and honestly humiliating. The service was unprofessional and hostile. The selection of actual helpful staff? Apparently nonexistent. And the value? Paying for a round trip just to be disrespected and denied service? Zero. This entire experience felt like a slap in the face. Well it happened again, I needled to call this local branch to do a physical stock check on an item and I was usable too. Instead my calls are being re routed to a call center in the Philippines and all they can do is the same thing I can do, go to the website. Customer service is non existant, you'd be way better off just going to Amazon. They have a better return policy anyway. read more

The retail store is fine. We were directed by one of the associates to a very nice TV to replace our aging one. We opted to have their Geek Squad do the install and it was a 4 week wait but we figured it would be worth the significant expense and wait to get the job done right. A few days before the install we got a call letting us know that they might not be able to do it as planned due to an illness with one employee, but they actually did show up on the scheduled day (one guy and a new trainee). My wife was around for the install and apparently they were pretty professional/helpful. The TV was not compatible with our cable box (really?) so they installed a streaming version of Spectrum and jury-rigged our remotes to get to this site (not without all sorts of navigation). The main guy gave her his cell phone to "call for any issues". After the install our back security camera went off line and there a few things about the way the remotes were set up that need some fine-tuning. I suspect that they disconnected our wireless access point but I'm not able to fix it myself. We've tried calling him 3 times (and have left messages as instructed) with no call back. We've tried calling the Geek Squad and don't have the time to wait on hold for 40 minutes which is typically required to get through. Our bad for trusting Best Buy as had similar bad experienced with their customer service previously. read more

I'm old. I admit it. And this rant will evidence that. But.... Where did customer service go?? Employees hanging out in groups while customers wait for help. The dragging of feet, the complete and utter lack of care, the monotone voices. Swinging around his keys constantly, seeming more interested in his fidgeting than helping. I was super nice until the last minute, when I just went quiet, believing in the phrase that you get more nice when you put njce out there... but that didn't work here. This BestBuy still my top choice however over the years it has gone a bit down hill with cleanliness. I was asked 5 times walking through the store on 6/10/23 if I needed help which is great love that type of service unlike other places. Most things were in stock that I looked at however your bathrooms looked horrible. Booger all over the stall wall and soap dispensers were out of soap not sure how the employees washed their hands or customers in that case. Went in to buy a remote car starter for my husband for Xmas. Someone at the front told me to go wait in the back and they would send someone. No one came. After about 20 min of no one I left and called to get help over the phone. The employee on the phone was not helpful and did not understand anything about the products or the process but did manage to make us an appointment to get it installed and I figured we could go in later to actually buy it. My husband went in later and didn't receive help for some time. Finally someone helped him but knew nothing and couldn't answer his questions. He ended up having to call back in because the one he bought would not work for him. Again the first phone person was incredibly unhelpful. My husband called a second time and actually got someone who could somewhat help (there is at least one competent person there). He is currently at the appointment which they gave us no directions or time frame for. He had to creep around the building because the entrance is in the back through a small door. They told him when he came in that it was booked for 3.5 hours but would likely be much shorter. It will soon be the 4 hour mark. This whole experience has been a raging dumpster fire. Every step of the way they have failed. I can't believe that this place is still in business. If you value your time, do not NOT shop here.... Update: it took nearly 6 hours! I think I could have done a better job than that with little car knowledge. We will never shop there again. read more

The Kalispell store was stacked with boxes blocking the aisles. I had to interrupt two talking laughing clerks. I asked for help with a camera and one of them pointed. When I was confused by the lack of direction he stepped toward me and pointed as I walked, he said "turn right, no, there". As I stood before a huge array of cameras and looked up, he was gone. I bought my camera on Amazon. I won't return to best buy. read more

I would give a negative rating if I could. They are so terrible. I purchased about $5,000 of TV and related equipment in November of 2021 at the store. Some of the stuff was back ordered. They made it sound like it would be no problem, one order, multiple deliveries. Earliest delivery date was Feb 1, 2022. I would periodically get emails telling me I needed to schedule the other deliveries. The only problem is their system doesn't work right and there were no dates available for delivery, EVER. So I was stuck calling corporate, which I have done now at least a half a dozen times. They couldn't find the problem either. Said they would contact the store. Nothing changed. No delivery dates. Had to change the Feb 1 date on the one delivery to March 31 (next available). Seriously, these people do not care if we every get the stuff we bought after months and months and months of waiting. You can't contact the store, no answer, according to corporate. They already have my $5000 and I have nothing. I would really like to cancel the whole order and never have anything to do with BEST BUY ever again. Reposting additional info after several hours... My husband and I decided to drive about 20 miles to the Beaumont, CA Best Buy store to see if we could get someone to help us there. I was a little afraid they might not help since we bought the items in Montana (we are in the process of moving out of the state), but fortunately for us, that was not the case. The lady we got had been working in Customer Service for some time so she clearly was experienced. She herself could not fix the problem with not being able to schedule delivery dates for some of the deliveries. However, she did know who to call who might be able to help with this. The problem is with their computer system. If you have too many HOME DELIVERY, TV-CONNECT & MOUNTING, SOUNDBAR CONNECT AND MOUNTING (i.e. labor items) in the same delivery, the system apparently just doesn't let you schedule a delivery date because there is too much work to do in a given time period, or something like that. It would be nice if such a message were displayed so everyone can more easily figure out what the issue is; this is poor computer design. It would also be nice if the initial people who set up your order knew this so they would set it up correctly at the outset rather than causing issues later on. Even staff at the Corporate number did not know how to fix this. This is an indication of major training problems for staff with using this system. It probably only shows up when there is a large order, which I guess is kind of rare. Anyway, the way the problem was fixed was by breaking up my order into even more deliveries. Fortunately, we were able to get them all scheduled for the same date (some in the morning and some in the afternoon). So thanks to this one diligent, caring employee we were able to get our problem resolved and I didn't have to cancel my order and start over from scratch elsewhere. Someone in management needs to be reviewing these undelivered orders in oldest date order first, to see if any of them are from a long time ago and try to expedite a resolution. Staff at the Corporate number, when they are unable to resolve an issue, just let it fall into the black hole of unresolved issues and never follow-up any further. Finally, not allowing customers to call the store I personally think is really a terrible customer service practice. We didn't have trouble visiting a brick and mortar store, but for everyone that might not be the case. And there was no guarantee that the staff in the brick and mortar store was going to be able to help. I think we just got lucky. read more

First off let me say I did not know they made Best Buys in mini versions. Holy kittens this place was tiny. As stated in another review, we were on a quest for a cord to run my laptop to an older hotel tv, so we could watch Netflix. Of course, I forgot the cord at home and it then opened up this little side trip for us. They didn't have to much on hand, and nobody came over to help us, which when we were leaving was the first question the greeter asked us. When we said no, he was going to get somebody right away to go back there, but we were already tired and ready to go back and watch the few channels we had, And curse my forgetting the cord that would have brought movie magic to the room. read more

If I could leave a zero star I would..... WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I got the run around between calling into corporate and the local store about my order. I called corporate about 5 times and the second to last time the gentleman told me his supervisor was fixing my order to be picked up instead of being shipped and I would be on hold for another 15 minutes. After 20 minutes of that hold (mind you the total call was 55 minutes) he hung upon me and the order was NOT fixed. I went to the store, they said I needed to call corporate to fix it, which I did while at the store to talk to a supervisor that said he was the highest ranking person there, and there was nothing they could do that the store manager needed to fix it. The store manager at the time got on the phone with this person and turns out nothing could be done. I am still without a computer, my homework will now be late, and I will NEVER shop at Best Buy again. read more

I had a problem with my video camera trying to get it to show on my TV and I worked with the manager and guy from a different area they just came together found the solution very easy to work with. Had a great experience with this Best Buy when having to replace my dying Sony DLP from 7-8 years ago. After doing a lot of internet research on the model I wanted to purchase, I landed on a 60" Samsung plasma. Best Buy happened to be running a sale on it and I wanted to buy local in case I needed to do any sort of return. Turns out, this was a good decision. After a prompt free delivery and setup by Best Buy, we used the new TV for a few days. The picture was great at night, but the reflections were terrible during the day due to all of our windows and natural light. So, I went to researching what different TV to buy. Landed on a 55" Vizio. Bought that also from this Best Buy and scheduled another free home delivery and setup. The day before the delivery, I called the store and asked them if I could send the Samsung back with the delivery guys when they brought the new Vizio (plasma boxes are HUGE and it was too big to fit in our SUV). They agreed to do that. The delivery guys boxed it all up and hauled it back to the store. I called the store the next day and it took just a minute or two to process the return over the phone. No restocking fees or anything. All-in-all it was a great experience. I can't imagine the hassle it would have been to try and arrange returns with Amazon or some other online retailer. Kudos to Best Buy for great customer service as I figured out what TV would work best for us! read more

The husband and I are in Montana to adventure around Glacier National Park. Naturally we brought the fancy big camera we don't really know how to use to photograph said adventures. Welllllll for whatever reason we couldn't figure out why our camera battery wasn't working. We stopped into this BestBuy and a wonderful gentleman tested the battery and the charger and let us make an exchange on the battery. The next day with our "fully" charged battery we wandered around the park snapping photos when all of a sudden "BATTERY EXHAUSTED" appeared on the camera. We got all of 25 pictures for the entire day. Naturally first stop after our hikes was back to BestBuy. Adam the manager came to the rescue and did investigating for us. Long story short we were charging the battery wrong (d'oh!). But the point of this review is to share that everyone we encountered at this store bent over backwards for us to make sure our camera worked for us.
