Half of my…read moregear and my bike's bags were in the back of the vehicle - I teach motorcycle safety and riding, my equipment is my livelihood! I had to get in! And I needed my vehicle running. I first tried a couple other "yelp suggested" locksmiths, they told me that they couldn't help. In desperation, I went to the dealership and had a key cut from my VIN, and bought a new fob. I haven't programmed a fob in a while... since you pushed a button on the PCM, and then held a combo of buttons down on the fob. It's a LOT more complex, today. I contacted B&B to see about getting it scheduled, expecting next week, at the earliest. Instead, they came out yesterday afternoon, less than 5 hours after I initially asked about availability. They were able to program my OE fob, sold me (and programmed) another fob, and sold me and cut (on sight) a second rescue key. The total for my same day service? After tax, tip, fob, key cutting, and programming 2 fobs, my total was 50 less than the dealership charged for just the fob and key. Jamie and Jr. were extremely helpful throughout, providing updates and all the information I inquired about. Both fobs and keys work, I can get to my riding gear and equipment, have my backup vehicle back, and it was incredibly affordable. Thanks y'all! After researching online a bit, I contacted West Mesa Locks and received a response immediately. They were able to schedule a locksmith (Carlos) to come take a look at the place, understand what my needs were..and give me some honest recommendations and estimates for what would work best for me. For one, for example, I was able to rule out keyless locks just because my case wouldn't necessarily need those, etc. They were super prompt with their follow up as well. I was able to see the estimate and schedule for the lock replacement/installation done over the next few days. They were also prompt and showed up on time with good introduction and with good manner as well. Overall, I got what I needed done pretty painless experience and with the prices within the budget I had in mind..so I was happy with that! Given such positive experiences with West Mesa, if I ever have issues with keys in the future, they would be the first one I would reach out to again!

They said there was no service charge on the phone, but there was on the bill. When I questioned it Leon argued with me very unprofessionally. They charged $225 for a lock I could buy at lowes for $100 less - same brand. All of that I could have accepted because it was a rush job. However, when I called to say they forgot something, they tried to tell me to do it myself ( they want a disabled 60 year old with a fused spine to climb the ladder to the device on the garage ceiling). When they helped me program the garage opener, they forgot to program with wall keypad with the new code; he is saying it's my fault for not telling him knowing that I'd been living in the house for 2 hours, and I'm not the expert. But okay, I miss it. When I called to ask him to help finish the job, he didn't response the text and call within a business day. Then he said he was busy with people in the store. Then he said he didn't have time, and again, I should do it myself or find someone to help finish the job. He wanted me to wait a week to come back and finish the job because "they're too busy". What makes this abhorrent is his tone and demeaner. He grew louder and more abrupt on the phone, and told me he'd call back because .... well, I guess my call wasn't as important and couldn't ask the people in front of them to wait 2 minutes. Very nice during the actual job. He was the complete opposite when I called to finish the job. The more I tried to explain, the ruder he became interrupting me repeatedly, and having no customer service skills to professionally and calmly explain it to me. To cap it off, when I had a question on the bill, I had to send it to them because they didn't have it. When I tried to discuss with him, he was ridiculously rude and interrupting me again, arguing with me, getting louder, and had the audacity to say he did me a favor ($500 bill). Parts of the bill contradicted the verbal - and again he said I was wrong. EXCEEDINGLY RUDE and no customer service skills. Typical perhaps of age and experience, but to be spoken over and rudely argued with is the absolute worst customer experience. All they had to do was be responsive and say - we'll be out there as soon as we are able and help finish the job. Period. It's called respect of your customers and professionalism in running a business.
