It is exceptionally finely crafted with every joint welded, ground and polished. After considerable research I was able to identify Joel Murry owner of NW Fabrication of Bellingham WA as the only one in the area capable of matching the repair quality to the rest of the rail system in the field. Joel turned out to be an outstanding craftsman and a real pleasure to work with. He provided a "not to exceed" estimate, and his final invoice was almost 15% below his estimate. The repair required removal and replacement of one stanchion, and one section of midrail with welds at base and top of stanchion and both ends of the midrail plus a weld to the adjoining undamaged section of midrail. The job was completed in a timely manner and the quality of the repair absolutely indistinguishable from the original railing. Like it never even happened. Joel does field work and has just moved to a new very well equipped shop. I most highly recommend Joel and his NW Fabrication for any fabrication needs you might have.
