I highly recommend ProFix Appliance Service. I had a washer problem, as the water was not draining and the machine was not balanced. This service came out immediately and after an hour identified the problem They ordered the necessary parts and told me they woud come back for the install in 3 days. True to their word ( which is highly unusual these days) they were installing the new parts on the 3rd day. The washer now works great and doesn't make noise when spinning out.. They are very polite and most important competent!! Good Guys to know. read more

Profix is a father and son team and they are awesome! They responded to my query right away and before regular business hours, then when at my house they checked my washing machine thoroughly and soon figured out the problem. My washing machine had an unusual smell of something heating, maybe a rubber smell, during the spin cycle. They came to help me right away, and I never expected to have my problem solved today, this quickly and efficiently. Plus they were super friendly, organized, experienced and confident. Great experience with Profix (Alex and Andrii). As others have noted, really fast response and quick repair. We couldn't remove our refrigerator filter to change it as the mechanism was broken. I called after 5 on a Tuesday, got a callback that evening, and my refrigerator was fixed by 12:10 p.m. the next day! The best part about this business is they service Lummi Island. Every other one I contacted today said, "Sorry we do not service your area." I'm used to this; lived here 30 years. Don't know why I still try. Oh, because occasionally you find someone who does and it saves you money. Today, maybe $1000. Because I didn't wait, I was already in my car on the ferry to go buy a new fridge when I noticed they'd gotten back to me. Not, "we can be there in two weeks." They were like, "We can make it today. What time?" What time???? Holy moly! I immediately gave my phone number so I could explain I was currently on the boat going the wrong way and could I please do a few errands and meet in the early afternoon? No problem they said. Whoa. They showed up, fixed the fridge, cleaned up, and DID NOT sock it to me. My only problem now is guilt I didn't pay them more than they asked. I think it's called tipping. Shoot. If anyone wants to know what they did exactly and my guess as to what we did wrong, read on! I don't know the technical terms but the whole back of the fridge, behind the plastic, is the mechanism for cooling. Ours was all frozen up, inside the freezer and fridge. I suspect part of this just happens. BUT in preparation for Thanksgiving I cooked up a batch of brine, and instead of cooling it with ice in the cooler where I brine the turkey, I used the fridge. Well, it steamed a lot as it took a looong time to cool. This steam, I assume, turned to ice when it went back into the workings of the fridge, and then turned to ice. They say don't use the fridge to cool really hot stuff, just once it's gotten in the "danger zone", 140 degrees ish. And then don't have more than 2" of liquid. We did 2 gallons. Hope that helps prevent what we had. The repair did take a couple hours, as thawing all that ice took a while. read more

Alex did a fabulous job repairing both my washer and dryer. I requested for both appliances to be repaired at the same time. He came from a good hour away, arrived about on time, and with a full set of tools. He listened to my complaints and got right to work. He had to run to the store for a tool, but continued to work into the dark until the appliances were complete. So far my dryer is drying like a champ and the washer is swishing a load right now. With the lack of decent customer service these days, no work ethic or pride in one's work, I'm am quite pleased with Profix Appliance Repair! read more

Like most reviews here, we were very pleased with the promptness of their service as well as the thoroughness of their knowledge and analysis. Thought we had a failed refrigerator. Turns out we overloaded the circuitry. In a very respective and courteous manner both father and son walked us through why the breaker popped, and how we were trying to reset the breaker incorrectly. Well worth the $80 analysis fee. We would certainly use them again if a situation came up that they had the expertise to resolve. read more

Above and beyond!! They fixed our old downdraft range vent. It was practically a full installation including the addition of a faceplate panel. They had to make an extra trip to the hardware store due to an unforeseen wiring issue but were very fast and thorough. as noted by others, a father and son team (ukrainian). you might be fooled into thinking they are not professional because of their vehicle (a lexus sedan, not a service van with advertising on the sides) or their appearance, but that would be a misimpression. the fathers english is more limited than the son who serves as an assistant and interpreter. you really get the feeling that this is the best of the usa; emigrees showing initiative, entrepreneurship and a good work ethic. they know what they are doing and are experienced in appliance repairs. i had them repair an lg drying roller bearing which they diagnosed and replaced after hearing the sound the dry made when the drum rotated. because they didn't have a replacement part, they ordered it and returned the next day to replace it. read more

They came out within hours and fixed the washer. Nice, friendly and honest. They had to run buy a part and came right back.

Washing machine was making a loud grinding noise. Profix looked at it and literally said, in broken English, "It is probably supposed to make that noise." They charged $65 and left. We tried to use the washer again but this time the loud grinding noise was followed by a water leak on the floor and a small black oil drip in the wash tub. I DO NOT recommend. read more
