I picked up the antenna at Hendricks Chevrolet. While there I inquired what would it cost to have it installed. I was informed it was a 3 hour job at their labor rate, somewhere between $400.00 to $500.00. I then contacted Strosnider Chevrolet. I was told it was a 2 hour job at their labor rate. A friend of mine that owns two import car dealerships suggested I contact Extreme Audio. I called Extreme Audio inquiring if they would install the antenna. If so, how much would it be. I was told they could install it and it would take no more than an hour. I set up the appointment. The work was done quickly. When I went to pick up my vehicle I was told the bill was $66 and some change. I first looked at him like he had four heads. He then said I can charge you more but it took less than an hour, and that is how we do things. We don't over charge. I highly recommend Extreme Audio for your vehicle audio needs. They are straight forward honest people. I won't hesitate to return in the future.

I did end up choosing the most expensive option based on the improvements I wanted to hear with my music. Easy to schedule the appointment for the install. Install was finished in a day. The owner and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would choose this place again for audio upgrades or any other car upgrades I'd want in the future.

Not what they used to be... I really enjoyed purchasing my sound system for my last vehicle through…read morecrutchfield.com. Now it's terrible. They used to guarantee the lowest prices. Found out I paid about 33% more for the speakers than SonicElectonix had them listed for. When I spoke to them about a price match I was told the do price match... but with a big caveat, the only price match if the manufacturer lowered the advertised price. This isn't really a price match. In order to stay in good graces as a dealer they can't sell for more than MAP or manufacturers advertised price. So first downside: no longer the best prices and they are unwilling to match or compete with better pricing. Second issue, I was told my package would arrive by a certain date so I can schedule my install. It was delayed. Asked for some help since I lost the shop deposit and my install spot... Nothing. Second downside to Crutchfield: no customer service Third issue: the forgot the speaker harnesses to use my factory wiring. Cool. One benefit Crutchfield always touts is they hook you up with everything you need... unless you want to plug in your speakers without splicing into overpriced factory wiring harnesses. And here is the final straw: I was delivered used, damaged products and an incomplete order. The amplifier was clearly used, not like open box, but used. The outer box says BEST BUY EXCLUSIVE on it. I checked the date and it's from late 2020 so about 5 years old. The speaker terminals were already stripped out and had burn mounts on the power terminal. This was clearly a used unit that somebody pulled out of their car. The amp smells like cigarettes and is missing the cover. Well... now I'm waiting for the rest of the parts and an amplifier that didn't spend the last half decade under the seat of somebody's Marlboro Mobile. I already had to push out the install date twice and lose two deposits to hold the spot. So they don't even sell quality equipment anymore. Lastly, they sent the wrong speakers. I ordered 6.5" and the sent the 5.25" version. That's an honest mistake but on top of everything they're making me wait while they investigate. So the only usable thing I received are the adapters for the speaker opening. Now I am stuck with gear I can't install or use while they investigate. I was told they should be done in the next couple days and the we can go from there?!?! We can go from there?!?! They sent the wrong stuff and I'm stuck with it until they decide I can send it back or they'll refund it. It's clear that the customer is the LAST on the priority list for these people. Hopefully they get back to me in the next few days so I don't have to start a charge back process. I highly suggest going with another company that values their customers and aren't just skating by because they've been in the industry for so long.

Nothing seemed to work. Well, I brought the box with the console, games, cables, etc down to Crutchfield and their eyes lit up. The staff not only heard me out as I tried to explain how I was struggling to get this 70's dinosaur hooked up to our modern television, they did research on the spot to see if we could figure it out together. One of the techs was literally on his way off-shift for the day, but he stuck around to help me out. When they couldn't find a suitable adapter in stock, the guy crimped a custom RF to coaxial cable right in front of me. On the spot. He fabricated the connection we needed from scratch, like he was pulling it out of thin air. This man is a wizard I will absolutely be back here for any audio/visual needs I have going forward.

I was going on vacation and needed the car three days later. It was not done--in fact I don't think they started the work until two days after drop off. I told them that I would be out of town until Monday. I received a call on Saturday that I needed to pick the car up. It's a convertible --and when I arrived, it had been sitting out in the parking lot all day with the top off. I figured out why! The top no longer worked. Neither did the driver's side window. I did not figure these things out until I drove the car home. But that was only after dealing with the fact that the mechanic drove my car up on the sidewalk tearing my bumper skirt up. After listening to it crunch as I slowly backed it off, the three guys in the shop proceeded to harass me--telling me they'd just fix it, then telling me my car was a piece of junk. They did nothing! I had to call my insurance. I should have called the police. It took the shop owner over five days to call me. I have yet to be contacted by their insurance. After I took it back in for them to fix the windows and top, they said they couldn't do anything. I could take it to a dealer and pay to get it fixed and they'd cover it if they thought it was due to something they did. So avoid getting a lawyer--and just skip this shop! ****(added 7/29) I'll reply to Andy's response since I can't add to his comment. I'm sure this comment is NOT for me since he didn't contact ME about this. He doesn't really care if my car is repaired or works. He just wants a great review. I don't blame him. But maybe he should train his managers to deal with things when their mechanic wrecks customer's cars. As far as you the customer? I've learned some things. I would just be very careful dealing with car shops. Document everything when you drop it off--mileage, condition. Just like a rental. Andy makes it sound like I'm some kind of crazy woman. Well that's how his managers made me feel too when I complained that my car was up on the damn sidewalk. I should have called the police since I didn't have a witness there to see the condition of the car. I was alone-- and they knew it. Their insurance company sent me a check for $2000 even though the estimate to get the bumper that fits my car is well over $3000. And my top? Mercedes really doesn't know if it's the pump. They don't know. So it worked when I dropped it off. When I picked up my car, the bumper was wrecked, the top didn't work and the driver's side window didn't work. Nothing was said to me that they wouldn't touch the top before I picked it up. Ever. And yes, it did sit outside all day since 10:00 am with the top down. So it's all sketchy. I am now stuck with a car that I can't sell. I'm $1000 short to repair the bumper. So thank you Andy for your reply here on Yelp. As with other "no phone calls," I appreciate the NO follow up to see that I was taken care of. Go away. I know. Go away. I'm sure my convertible will sell right away with that wonderful $700 radio re-wire your shop did!
