I had an unfortunate miscommunication with a friend who was staying at my house over the weekend and needless to say, I was locked out of my house. After panicking from seeing all the "closed" notes for the St. Louis locksmith's on Yelp, this company came up open 24/7. Joe answered the call and was very friendly and accommodating. Fantastic craftspeople and the consummate professionals. The last time I had to use a locksmith it was classic bait and switch. One price was advertised on the internet but when the locksmith arrived he claimed he would have to drill out the old lock and replace it with a new lock for a total cost of $700-800. When I told him I would get a second opinion he used the bulb devices to pop the door open but it was still over $200.00. With All Lock the price I was quoted on the phone is what I paid. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST! If you are in St. Louis USE ALL LOCK AND KEY CO and not AMERIKEY! If Amerikey comes up in your Google search for any local number they send out local contractors that will harass you! I don't care how desperate you are. This company really helped me out in more ways than just opening my door. I locked myself out of my house this morning. I called around and could not find any place that opened before 8 am. Luckily I had my cell and Googled a company that said they could dispatch someone for $35 and they'd be there in 20-30 minutes. (This is a different company not All Lock and Key, the first one I called was Amerikey.) About 45 minutes go by and I get a phone call from a foreign woman obviously lying in bed and she confirms the address and says they'll be there in 20 minutes. So already this other company is SUPER LATE. Finally it's past 8 am and I call All Lock and Key Co. I explain to All Lock and Key Co that I had already called another company but they were almost 2 hours late. They tell me they charge $65 and I said that might be too much. The person at All Lock says, "Did they say they'd charge you $35??" And I said yes they did! He said "DO NOT let them work on your house! They are scam artists and once they get there your bill will end up being over $300. They prey on women and use intimidation to get the money." He says someone will be there in 3 minutes and if the other people show up tell them to go away. Within 3 minutes the All Lock worker shows up and tells me that this other company is known to all reputable locksmiths for ripping off women and scaring them. The man at All Lock and Key was SO NICE. I felt so comfortable having him there. The first guy (scam artist) pulls up in a shady van and calls me when he sees the All Lock van in my driveway. He starts yelling at me about calling another locksmith. I told him, the truth, that I called his dispatcher and told them to tell him immediately to turn around because he was 2 hours late and I had called someone else. He never exits the van and he is yelling at me demanding money. He wants me to come give him my credit card. I tell him no because he was so late and wasn't doing the work and to leave and that I was hanging up. I could barely understand him, he had a very thick accent. The All Lock guy said not to worry because the guy wouldn't get out of his van with him there and he was able to open my front door. The entire time this guy is across the street calling me and harassing me. I can't understand him and I tell him to leave. The All Lock man turns around and waives him off and says, 'You need to leave now.' I was so afraid that the thick accent guy was going to do something to my house (still am worried) and that he would circle back around after he left. I stayed home a little longer and pointed my ADT cameras out the window to capture anyone coming to my front or back door while I am gone. I was seriously scared of this first guy. The dispatcher for the first guy (Amerikey) calls and I tell him that his man scared me and I was afraid of him damaging my home and that he was yelling at me and demanding I come out to his van with my credit card. The dispatcher says that he will talk to the driver about being 2 hours late and that there is no charge. But I'm still freaked out. I'm sure the dispatcher is in some other part of the country and doesn't even know these contractors. Anyway. The service of All Lock and Key Co is as good as it gets. I felt so safe with him there and I appreciated the person answering the phone and the tech telling me all about the company that came out and harassed me. I hope that if I ever need them that they are there for me. I also hope that no one ever uses the first scam company (Amerikey) for their own safety! read more

This shop is very good except for one thing.... They post their hours on the building and here on the internet.. Now for the truth they are hardly ever there.... I went to the store three different time in a weeks time and all the time they were closed.... One time the sign said "Open" but no one there. Sat in the parking lot for over a half hour and still no one showed up and no information on the door.. Called and NO answer or answering machine....
