I was hopeful, coming back, expecting a more satisfying experience than last, but that was not the case. I won't go into detail in case my review will be asked to be taken down again. Long story short, Salon 815 never seems to be prepared for walk-ins. I do not want to continuously hear "make an appointment". If that is the case, please label this salon as appointment only. The wait time for a walk-in is ridiculous. Not only that, but the colors are very limited (for gel). 2 stars for the nail techs because they are extremely kind and mean well. I know none of this is their fault. I just think the salon as a whole could do a lot better if they really want regulars. But there are a lot of other and better options in the West Portal area if you feel the same as me. Don't let the fancy interior fool you!

The new salon is also super cute! Lots of natural lighting and open air. Today I got a beautiful blend of dark brown with golden highlights and it was as close to a true sombré that I was able to get without ruining my hair. Not every style works on every person, and just cause YOU want a specific cut or look, doesn't mean you will look as anticipated. That's why a consult is important. Have options not just 1 photo for your stylist, make appropriate selections and follow direction is my suggestion for those seeking a new or refreshed look.
