Most horrible experience ever. It has been almost three months, fence is still not installed. Parts are laying on my lawn, preventing lawn care. I was called names, f.... on the phone. Had to pay extra money on day one, when I refused to pay even more on day two they stopped working at all. Son said they would take me to the court and that way will get more money ( compared to honest work). If you respect yourself don't work with them. If I knew what they are I would throw them away on day one . Now they took half of the money and want more if I refuse their services read more

A and A fence installed a fence on behalf of Lowes, they rushed and installed over 400 feet of fence in one day, the result was a rush job, they cut my sprinkler lines, they left concrete on my driveway to dry and they installed the fence crooked, the latest development is that the fence is now coming apart, total hacks, thankfully Lowes is being somewhat cooperative however they are not moving very swiftly, I have had an open work order with Lowes for 7 months now, I believe that A and A no longer installs fences for Lowes because another company is coming out to fix the fence as soon as weather permits, best to stay away from this company. read more

I contacted A & A Fence to get an estimate for some fencing, We scheduled an appointment and they came over to take measurements; then I never heard back from them again. I left at least SIX voicemails over the course of several weeks asking what happened with the estimate. They NEVER got back to me. A lousy way to do business and speaks volumes about the quality of their service. read more

Herb and Crew at A&A fence did a fantastic job in replacing our fence, they were very polite and friendly to the neighbors, and worked incredibly hard to get the entire project completed in a day. I called A & A fence construction to get self-closing latches installed on my two gates because I have a pool. It took them weeks to come out and send a proposal. After accepting the proposal it took him weeks to show up but didn't have all the parts, when coming back with all the parts they hung the gate crooked and it wouldn't close. At least 3 times I spoke with the owner, Herb, who told me they would come at certain times to complete/fix the job and continued to offer excuses as to why he didn't follow through. Upon calling the office I was hung up on. This company is rude, unprofessional and act as if you should be thankful that they would allow them to take your money and do work on your property. If you value a reliable and detail oriented company, look somewhere else. read more

Awful experience with this company. They did show up and completed about half of our fence. We have been waiting for a year for this project to be finished. I have rolls of chain link fence laying in my yard waiting to be installed and a gate that's never been delivered. Have been calling and emailing Herb with no response. July 3rd- No Show I reached out and they told me due to Covid they could not get the fence. Understandable but I wish they had called. July 17th- Shipped. Will be in this week. Understandable. July 27th- I reach out.. any update? "Looking into it" August 6th- We will be there Saturday. What tine? "No answer" August 12- crew is picking up at supply house we will be there today. I call them- the woman tells me "I am not her only customer and I have no reason to be upset." her husband Herb yells from the background to "hang up the F* phone we are not doing it" The woman tells me "see look what you have done now you have pissed him off. I advocated for you(dont need an advocate- I need a fence). You think the world just revolves around you." There are obviously some underlying emotional issues with these people. I am embarrassed to have used this company and to have been spoken to like that after being patient due to Covid. In addition the other fence I had them build is poorly constructed and not level. All around terrible experience. People were unkind, non responsive, and flat out mean. read more

Poor communication, delays, and being forgotten are key elements for a job that had to be handled by another company after more than six months of delay. However, the overall fence installation was professional, but no job is completed until the last cap and fence opening is completed. Fortunately, this was subcontracted by Lowe's who stood behind the completion of the job and secured the secondary contractor and in one day completed the remaining tasks. read more

These guys were absolutely phenomenal! The final product exceeded my expectations. They showed up on time, worked their butts off in 95 degree weather and got what was supposed to be a 3 day job done in 2. A really good group of guys who clearly knew what they were doing. I cannot recommend them strongly enough. Do not take a chance with anybody else - if you have a fence project that you want done by experts call these guys. read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. I went through Lowe's for my fence project, and A&A was the installation company assigned to my job. Shana, from A&A, called to let me know our project was scheduled for 6/17-6/19, but that the date could change if it rains a lot. All is good. On 6/14, she calls again saying they will have to push us back a week because of all the rain we've gotten. Still fine, but I told her I was having a cookout on the 4th and just need it to be completed by then. Meanwhile, Lowe's delivered the fence and concrete on 6/15. On the 23rd, I called Shana to confirm the project was happening the next day. She said that she had me in the calendar for the 26th - 28th, but now it looks like they might not get to me until the 1st or 2nd. I told her that I really need to have it completed this week (clear weather forecast all week) because I have a lot of people coming for the 4th, and the fence is in the way. It is half in my driveway and half in my lawn. I asked if they could not guarantee it will be complete this week, if they will move the fence to a different part of my yard that is out of the way and has stone instead of grass. She says, "What? You want us to come move your stuff?" And she repeats this three times while her husband, Herb, who is the owner, is grumbling in the background about how he will "get to me when he gets to me." My project was an $11K job with almost 300 ft of fence on 3 large wooden pallets and at least a dozen bags of concrete. We couldn't move it ourselves if we wanted to. The people who delivered it had a special truck to lift and unload it. So yea, Shana, I was asking you to come move our stuff. Shana is going on and on about how she can't control the weather and they haven't been able to work at all because of the rain. Then she tells me that she had to send her guys out on Saturday and Sunday just to catch up. Then I made one comment about how it's not a big deal that they had to work the weekend, because they've had all these days off because of the rain. (This is he ONLY comment I made that might have been out of line.) Well they both lost it. Herb's yelling at Shana, Shana's yelling at me, their dog was barking, their baby was crying. It sounded like a zoo! After hearing the way Herb was talking in the background, I knew I didn't want these people coming to my house. I called Lowe's and they switched installation company's for me. So this isn't a review of their installation service, but of their customer service and character. These are not professionals. read more

This company is what the pro's in this business call a complete ragtime clown outfit. They show up to look at the job, suggest they are "interested" and then make the customer chase them for a month with zero response. Called them 4 times and every time they "answered", it was some "we are waiting on a price", "can I call you right back:", blah blah blah excuse. If I could give zero stars I would. Would not recommend this Company to an enemy. I wish I never had reached out to them or gave them the benefit of the doubt dealing with the business impact of COVID. Reached out in April for a quote to move a fence over 3 feet after hedges had been cut down by my neighbor. The father came out and we discussed options. He told me they have a machine to remove the stumps and would be no problem. Told me he was retired, but his son Herb would reach out with a quote. Received a quote via email on 4/16 and it just said 4 fence sections and 5 posts. I responded with the following: "When talking to your dad he mentioned removing the stumps (we had talked about a few options). I wanted to check to make sure the quote below included removing the stumps so the posts can be moved over to the property line." We spoke that evening and he agreed it included removing the stumps. We agreed to a date a couple weeks away because they were busy/dealing with COVID - I was fine waiting a few weeks. However, since then I have had 3 scheduled appointments where they were no shows and/or had "rescheduled" without telling me. I left multiple voicemails and emailed, but each time it was multiple days/weeks waiting for a response. Every time I spoke with the wife it was some story of why they didn't show up. I never once said complained, just asked them to reschedule it. A couple weeks ago they came out with just shovels and said they couldn't do it by hand as it was more work than they anticipated. Yet back in April, I was told a machine would be used to remove them. All I was told was that the machine wasn't available and I would be contacted, plus getting it up the driveway might be tough now. I had to initiate the conversation again. I said I needed to know if they would reschedule or I had to find someone else because I was getting a new puppy. The wife talked about their dogs and how I was in the calendar for 7/11 / they promised I would get it done. No show again. Called that day and a handful of times that week. Fast forward to 7/20, 9 days after not showing up - what Company stays in business when they don't even have the courtesy to call a scheduled customer back. I answer the phone and the wife immediately says "we aren't on the same page with the amount of work." How can we be on the same page when you do not return calls, you do not have any explanation for your original quote, 3 months has gone by and you never have had a conversation with me. The best part is when I asked how we could be on the same page when they have not once communicated with me there was an issue and said I didn't want to use them anymore, the response was "that is fine, we have a lot of happy customers". That is great to hear, I am not one of them. I have had bad service before and do not consider writing a negative review, but this has been the worst experience. The way they acted I highly doubt I am the first or last customer they treat this way. 3 months of putting up with a horrendous business - they really need to figure out that good businesses actually communicate with their customers. read more

Very happy with this company. Herb came out promptly for an estimate. (had several no shows or some took 2 weeks to come out) I had received several estimates, his was the best quote for the quality of fence (which was top grade!). He was also able to make my deadline. If I could post NO stars at all I would! DON'T use them! Lowes in Danvers hired this company to install our over $6000- black fence. The job started last July and took six months of problems...... Still not satisfied with fence gate alignment, and more. Total finger pointing! Unprofessional..... they do not know how to install! Our pool was exposed and there was no urgency to rectify. Never pay in full up front as that what stated we had to do. Peter from sales says Lowes stands by their word product and name..... Really! They hire the cheapest company they can find.
