In an attempt to see if my gas heat was working, he jacked up the temperature on the thermostats and turned them to "on". Today, I turned my AC (separate system) way down to accommodate the humidity while I packed and within a couple of hours I smelled gas coming from the back of the house where the AC and Gas were having a duel to see who would control the temperature. He failed to return the thermostats to the "off" setting and push the temperature back down. It will be a while before I am able to be in my room due to the overwhelming stench of gas not to mention what my gas and AC are likely to show as a result of his mistake. He was very friendly, but he only gets three stars for scaring the wits out of me thinking I had a gas leak in the back of my house....he should have reset the thermostats. . Allan was very responsive throughout the entire process, and was available to discuss services with him 15 minutes after submitting. Pricing and payment was transparent and a smooth process. The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). This was not an inspection -- it was a drive-by. He missed obvious, widespread tile floor cracks throughout the house, issues so visible it's hard to believe they were "overlooked" at all. When I asked him to come back and re-inspect his own miss, he had the nerve to say it would cost another fee. Because of this incompetent inspection, I lost $5,000 backing out of the home. This company didn't protect me, they cost me thousands. Total waste of time and money. This is a bullshit company with zero accountability. If you don't want expensive surprises after you're under contract, stay far away. You will absolutely regret hiring them. Never recommended.

During that visit, he made unprompted remarks about my personal life that had nothing to do with the inspection. When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the "deep dark web." We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.
