Lane from Fidelity Home Inspections did a thorough and great job doing the home inspection for our house which is coming up on its one-year anniversary. He went into great detail explaining the results shown on the report that he produced as a result of the home inspection. I used that same exact report and emailed it to our builder's warranty department. Builder immediately started scheduling visits to fix the issues on the inspection report the following day. I had (redacted) Home Roofing come by last week for a roof inspection and a quote. After 4 hours of convincing (torture), that roofing company was able get me to sign a contract for a new $49k roof. After some research on (redacted) home roofing, I canceled the contract the following day, but that experience left us shook. The inspection that Michael did was money well spent, and then some. Gave me the peace of mind that I did the right thing canceling that contract for a $49k unnecessary roof replacement, and he also offered some great advice regarding the settling of our home, foundation, and drainage. read more

The Inspector that came was nice and did review the report with us. However, since we've moved in, we keep finding issues that should have been found at the time of the inspection. For instance, the mold in the MB linen cabinet. Apparently, the previous owners left exposed piping from a water leak (meaning they never covered the hole with sheetrock) they had causing moisture that led to mold. Also, the electrical box tops were not on and electrical lines were lying about in the attic. This could have led to a fire. I am not sure I'd recommended this company. I'm fairly disappointed that the reviews didn't line up to the hype. read more

I found Michael after looking for reliable inspectors in the San Antonio area. On Yelp, his reviews were through the roof with positive reviews, and they did not disappoint! He was there in the time frame specified and was very thorough. The drone surveying was a very cool concept, it's nice to be able see your property from the skys. He never made us feel inferior or dumb for not knowing anything or asking too many questions. And we asked a lot lol. This is our first home and we didn't want to miss anything. I think the aspect I like the best about Michael and Fidelity's process was that he used an iPad to take pictures of everything and then was able to put those pictures into an inspection profile for us. He would rate each item from minor, concerning, and severe or needing immediate attention. He then is able to send that profile with the pictures to our realtor to share with the seller's realtor. I guess the typical process during concessions is for realtors to just pass a written document back and forth of what needs to be fixed. Michael explained this tends to cause confusion since the seller is left to just interpret notes rather than actually seeing what needs to be fixed. I love that concept, pictures are great! He also included cosmetic defects or faults, which he was not obligated to do, but did anyways. They were also easy to contact and very quick to respond If they were not readily available. Lisa was able to give me any info necessary to have our inspection run smoothly. He accepted Venmo as a payment, we found that very convenient since someone (me) forgot to grab the check for his payment. Love that!
