I requested custom rolling shelves to be installed in my master bathroom and a spot on the wall to be painted over where it chipped. I was informed that it would be doable to be completed by 23 November 2024. It was understood that I paid half the estimate upfront to deposit and then pay the remainder when the work is complete. So I paid half upfront to deposit; amount was $1,860.00. On the planned completion date, I received a text message that there is a family emergency and they requested if the completion date can be pushed back to 24 November 2024. I said to that the new date is fine. And then the family emergency is extended, and extended, and extended thru Friday, 6 December 2024 and then thru Saturday, 7 December 2024. We agreed that the work will be completed firmly by no later than Sunday, 8 December 2024. By this point I have been more than reasonable and accommodating to the life situation that they are going Through. On 10 December 2024, and I verified that there has been no work done at all on the shelves or the painting job. I called, texted, and emailed the team with no response. I had discovered the nature of the emergency; so of course it's a traumatic experience. Also, at the same time, I am working in a tight budget. I cannot just throw away $1,860.00. By the end of December, the shelves and paint job were take care of by another person. On 15 January 2025, they informed me that they are taking care of the refund; first tried Zelle, then Venmo and did not work, so we agreed on a cashier's check sent to me. The cashier's check was mailed to me on 28 January 2025. And since January 28th 2025, no further updates; complete silence. I send one final message expressing my frustration and anger with the refund process on 17 February 2025; and then two days later on 19 February 2025, they finally reach back out to me ONLY after I initiated the follow up message. They tell me the refund check was mailed back to the office; this information I did not know, so at this point, I am dissatisfied more that they did not reach out back to me to close out the refund process. On 19 February 2025, they confirm with tracking number from UPS that the refund check is mailed to me to my correct mailing address. I received the package from UPS. However, upon opening the check is not in the mailer; there is only a neon green envelope with '1900.00 Refund' written on the outside. I noticed the green envelope was ripped in one corner and the mailer was also ripped in one corner. At this point, I still haven't received the refund. So, we agreed to send the check via USPS instead. We confirmed with tracking number that the check was mailed via USPS on 5 March 2025. On 14 March 2025, I received the mailer. Inside the mailer package, the check was not there. Instead, there was a Customs and Declaration Form and their business card. No refund check. At this point, we have utilized two forms of mailing technique without success. So, understandably, I asked them to provide the refund electronically either via Zelle or Venmo. I have no word of whether or when my deposit will be refunded, since that is the honest and professional thing to do. At the end of the day, it is poor customer service. The person who answered the phone informed me that there would be an emergency service charge of $160 just to come out and take a look. I agreed, and they sent a technician within an hour. The technician who arrived was very polite, but once he got into the attic to inspect the unit, it was clear that he was one of the newer, less experienced members of the team. He seemed unfamiliar with different HVAC systems and his companies pricing. He called his manager multiple times to ask what to look for. At one point, the manager instructed him to perform a control panel bypass to diagnose the issue. The problem did turn out to be the control panel. The technician informed me they would need to order a new one and return the next day to install it. He said the bypass he performed would serve as a temporary solution until the part arrived. Afterward, he checked the air handler and said it was operating at about 90% efficiency, but that adding a pound of freon would bring it up to 100%. I asked how much that would cost, and--after another call to his manager--he told me it would be $110 per pound. I agreed, and he took roughly five minutes to fill it. Before leaving, he told me the total would be $590 for everything. Although I thought this was high for just a diagnosis, one pound of freon, and a control panel, I paid, received a receipt, and he left. The next day, the company called to schedule the installation and informed me that I could pay the remainder over the phone or when the technician arrived. I was surprised--I'd already paid $590 the day before. That's when they told me it would be an additional $320 for the labor and the control panel. I had questions about how all these costs were being added up, especially since I had never been given a breakdown or quote beforehand. The technician made it seem like $590 was the total cost. The woman who called said her manager would call me back to explain. About 10-15 minutes later, I received a call from the same manager the technician had been speaking with the day before. He told me the $160 was the base emergency fee, and they charged an additional $160 for the diagnostic service (which he called a "temporary fix"). The freon, he said, was $110 per pound, plus another $160 in labor. The additional $320 was broken down as $160 for the part and $160 for installation labor. I explained to him that the $160 diagnostic fee was never mentioned at any point aside from the initial conversation with the receptionist, and he insisted the technician should have told me beforehand--even though he himself had been on the phone with the technician during the diagnosis. I also pointed out that the freon was quoted at $110 per pound, with no mention of added labor fees--especially not at emergency pricing, which wasn't even necessary at that point. Lastly, there had been no mention of any additional charge for installing the control panel until the scheduling call the next day. Throughout the conversation, the manager repeatedly blamed the technician, saying it was his responsibility to explain the pricing and that it wasn't the manager's fault. He leaned heavily on his "25 years of HVAC experience" as justification for his stance. Although they did return and install the control panel, getting my HVAC system running again, the management and pricing practices of this company are extremely predatory. I would only recommend contacting them if you're okay with throwing money away.

I emailed them online on their messaging system and it wasn't all but 2 minutes that I received a response! They were able to do an emergency visit and fix the problem! Chase the contractor sent out to assist me was great at letting me know thoroughly what was wrong and the reasons why I was having issues with my system. I appreciated how he completed the job in a timely manner and how he didn't try to upsell me on anything. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a quick, affordable and proper service done.
