This Family Dollar is located in downtown Arco, ID and you, frankly, can't miss it because "downtown" is the crossroad of the two main roads in Arco: Hwy #26 and #93. Parking is very flexible because street parking isn't metered. Prices vary - $1 and up - based on what you want or need or forgot (drinks, snacks, toiletries, etc.) Staff was pleasant, but super busy restocking the shelves and running the cash drawer at the same time . . . multi tasking at its finest.

I was a little surprised to see Family Dollar in this small town that surprisingly has no historic significance here. So, the Family Dollar in Arco is the biggest one that I have ever been in. The staff here is friendly. I think they looked at us with suspicion since my guy and I were new in town. "What the heck are 2C plates doing here??" They allowed us to use their restroom. They lock them (probably with good reason) so, you will have to ask them to unlock it before taking a journey to the back of the store. I would recommend coming here for supplies for camping. They have all kinds of goodies for parties and keeping clean and smelling good. They also have a cool variety of make-up and nail polish. They have more variety than the location in Nampa, Idaho. I wish they were not three to four hours away from my home. I would not recommend coming here for groceries. You can find canned goods here, but this is not the only store in Arco. The store is a block down to the left. You will find the grocery store tucked away on another road.

We passed on a $2 box of max and cheese but $1.09- $1.69 sweet treats. I love that they have great weekly specials on apples and oranges, so that I can keep to my grad student budget! They even stock a great number of pantry and household items, allowing me to shop locally instead of having to drive all the the way into Pocatello for other products.
