All the staff members there were warm and kind and did their best to help mom recover in as much comfort as possible. Vicki McDaniel, the social services director there, went out of her way to make sure that mom got a TB test, a Covid shot, and that the necessary paperwork was filled out and emailed to get mom into an assisted living facility closer to family. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Through the invaluable assistance of Samantha Phillips, a dedicated professional aiding families in such transitions, (now a nurse at Wolf Creek Care Center) we secured a place for him at Wolf Creek Care Center in Grass Valley. The care he received there was nothing short of exceptional. At Wolf Creek, the compassionate attention from the CNAs and nurses was complemented by the heartfelt dedication of social worker Vickie and activity director Debbie. These two remarkable individuals not only fulfilled their professional roles but also became cherished friends to my father. Embracing his new community, he took on the role of president of the residents' council, actively participating in monthly meetings to enhance the quality of care. He held the entire staff in high esteem and affection. Wolf Creek Care Center became more than just a facility; it was truly his home. Given his inability to walk and my limitations in providing the necessary care, it was a relief to know he was surrounded by a team that treated him like family. Their unwavering support and kindness have left an indelible mark on our hearts. For families seeking a nurturing environment where their loved ones will be treated with the utmost care and respect, I wholeheartedly recommend Wolf Creek Care Center. Following my father's passing on January 16, 2025, the staff graciously invited me to join their team as a volunteer. Now, I will have the honor of visiting and supporting the residents they so diligently care for, continuing the legacy of love and community that my father cherished. With all my love I thank every single person who works at Wolf Creek Care Center. You went above and beyond to make my dad's last two years of his life memorable for both of us.

His name is John. I recently reapplied because I relapsed. They called it the last minute and declined my application to reside there to get help. It's all predicated on the fact that the staff member John, told me if I didn't like it, I could leave. So I thought about it, and I said to myself if I'm going to be treated like a piece of s*** by this f****** guy, John specifically, I would leave because I didn't go there to get abused and harassed by staff. I didn't think that they would be so retaliatory. I need help now because of my relapse and at the last minute they declined to allow me to come into the facility. I guess this just speaks to the fact that we will treat you as poorly and unprofessionally as we want and if you don't like it you can just leave. Also if you express your concerns you are no longer welcome there because they don't take complaints about staff seriously. So basically management allows staff to mistreat clients and not hold their staff accountable for their unprofessional and abusive behavior

My experience was that my primary provider was unable to give me tools or treatments that would actually heal me... Medication will suppress the pain receptors... And they worked well to numb me out... But did nothing to heal the actual injury. Due to nerve dysfunction caused from right rotator cuff surgery from another doctor in September 2024 I am not willing to undergo any surgical interventions for my left shoulder. Luckily, I found a practitioner in line with what my desires are and I found him right in my backyard in Grass Valley, California. Dr. Joel Richnak at Mountain View Rehabilitation is a godsend!. My appointment started with a very thorough history... He showed me my x-ray report and the actual x-ray from Sutter, which was never shown to me before and told me what he saw... This was followed by an ultrasound, which showed a partial tear of the supraspinatus tendon. Which was what I thought... His recommended one treatment of PRP injections (20 tubes worth OMG) and physical therapy with other modalities that his practice offers. He said typically only one treatment is needed... With the end result being in 4 to 6 months. Since I am still recovering from the nerve dysfunction caused from my right rotator cuff surgery after over a year I am learning patience, lol and I am in it for the long game! Dr. Rick is compassionate, number one... But also thorough and an expert in his field, which was very important to me with my background in critical care nursing at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. I am leaving my appointment with a sense of Hope and I haven't felt that in a long time... I promised him I would be a good patient... Since nurses sometimes aren't lol but I want to live my best life now that we have 12 beautiful acres in our new home or Grass Valley, California. Our community here is amazing and I hope to pay it forward so to speak and educate people on what my experience has been. If you struggle with muscle or tendon pain or dysfunction, this is a place to come! Highly recommend!

The company never has anything straight, they're constantly changing things which makes everything way more complicated and adds to the lack of communication amongst coworkers in this company. The company also underpays their employees I was hired on at minimum wage level in the year I was there I got a 30 cent raise, meanwhile I was expected to do manager level work and had a very strict time limit that had me so stressed out I couldn't think of anything other than work even when I wasn't at work. Also if you ever tried to stand up for the clients because you realize they were being treated unfairly the company would attack you for it degrade you make you feel like you're stupid on and on and on. All I can say at this point is I truly hope this company Burns.

While in treatment I was called the monkey by the people staff and patients made derogatory comments about me and my skin color. There was a running joke about me the only African American in the facility being basically just a trained monkey. I brought it to the attention of the program manager and my counselor but nothing changed it seems they were afraid to address the concerns. Finally an administrator visited me at the facility and transferred me somewhere I could finally get some help. However they sent me to Grassvalley which had even less diversity but had one African American staff member at least. Who really worked hard to ensure I was heard and received some sort of treatment. Upon graduation I still have no relapse prevention plan or aftercare. I do not recommend Granite Wellness centers for treatment if you are a person of color. The institutional racism promoted by the executive management and turning a blind eye to patient welfare shows is not a place for healing.
