Only polite request I ever reecived was not to show up 5 minutes before they close with a full truck If I have anything that I am not sure about, I go with a sample and ask if they take items like that. As to the review from a few years ago about being yelled at by "rednecks", I can only say that I would have just ignored somebody like that and gone and talked to the boss in the office to tell the guy off. I think these characters are no longer there. Also, complaining about what they pay is useless. They state clearly that everything you bring to them it is just metals, so what an item cost originally or is worth is of no concern. Just ask your self why you are "recycling" ? For me it is not to make money. I don't follow the going rates for metals. I like to do good for the environment and the few bucks you get can be spent at the hot dog place next door:-) It's close to where I work and I am happy to have this place for drop off, instead of putting stuff into regular garbage. May times I am just happy to leave stuff without being paid.

I recently found myself in the happy predicament of having to dispose of a broken air conditioning…read moreunit, which of course meant that I would finally have an excuse to visit the local scrapyard. Yay! Upon arriving at the gate, I expected to be led into a sprawling Hellscape with towering heaps of twisted and shredded metal as far as the eye can see where anything might happen, where I might get lost or chased by feral dogs or a gang of crazed mutants. Turns out, it wasn't really that exciting at all. Just a small lot with a few piles of neatly sorted scrap metal, a garage/office and a scale for weighing out your scrap. I waited in a line of cars for about ten minutes and got 2 bucks for the broken air conditioner. However, it was still pretty cool and I would definitely come back here although I don't really have any scrap metal to sell. Maybe I'll look around my apartment for something made of metal and break it so I have a reason.

I went to go re register my car and was told by the DMV that according to the cars vin # the car…read morehad been totaled and scrapped by a place called AW Scrap Processors inc. in wappingers. (the car is sitting in my driveway so this must have been quit a magic trick) anyway I have been calling this company all week THEY ARE VERY RUDE!! so I finally called today because I needed some answers because they obviously dont check the vin # on the cars they scrap.... anyway I was hung up on, then called back very irritaed demanding answers telling them that I will give them a bad review on line... they said they would call the cops on me for "harassment" because I was calling to find out the status of my car without any answers and they also said they would call the cops because I was "threatening him" by saying I was going to post a bad review. After hearing this I got even more angry saying they need to solve this problem its their fault! the guy on the phone then said to me oooo your feisty are you married?!?!?!?! OMG I still have no answers from them except to call the dmv putting the blame on them. please please please dont ever do business with them... I felt sexually harrased on the phone and talked to horribly and the worst part is they dont check the vin # of cars they scrap which leads me to believe they are dealing with shady people who steal cars. repost repost please and if you need parts or looking for a car do business some place else!

This place is filled at least with someone's interest, which will make someone stay awhile. It's awesome seeing a store like this be in business for so long. The location is not hard to miss, with the eye appealing red building. Come make a stop while seeing for yourself.
