We needed my Wife's company patch sewn onto her camera bag from the Wandrd Bag company. The owner Jimmy greeted us warmly and let us know that he outsourced tailoring so was unsure if the job could be done due to the intricacies in the bag's structure. Jimmy offered to hold the bag and patch for the tailor's arrival the next day to confirm whether or not it could be done and quoted us $15. He advised we call the next day to confirm that the bag was accepted by the tailor. When we called, Jimmy let us know that the tailor had accepted the bag and it was on schedule for pick up in 5 days. Upon pickup we were quite excited to see the finished product and happy to report that the patch was securely sewn to the bag. The stitching wasn't perfect but we understood that the bag was hard to sew with a regular sewing machine, so no biggie, it had been glued on previously. Happy with the service, my Wife decided to also get her larger backpack style camera bag decked out with its own logo patch. Would I recommend Bridgeview Cleaners? Absolutely. Fast, friendly service - but a little pricy. I had a white down queen-sized quilt dry cleaned here a few weeks ago and they did a great job of getting all of the pet stains out of it, but I thought the price of $37.50 was a bit steep. I had the same quilt/comforter dry-cleaned about 2 years ago at Red Cap across the river and it was only $30.00 there. The operator was very friendly, though, and seemed genuinely appreciate of my business and I'm glad to patronize local, small business owners for sure. read more

I'm very happy with this business! One time I went in and had to get a suit ready for a wedding post haste- the owner went out of his way to get it done for me quickly, then refused to accept a tip for his services. Another time I went in to have my blazer done (for $6.75)- it had been previously dry cleaned poorly and had a bad fold in it, but it came back perfect. Very friendly guy, and they have same day dry cleaning. However, when it comes to alterations, expect over a week wait. I asked for simple alteration to one pair of dress pants and he said about 7 days, simple hemming of suit pants should not take a week or longer in my opinion. read more

I have family in the area, and it's sometimes easy (and cheaper than NYC) for me to drop off dry cleaning if I am visiting for the holidays. The owner is wonderfully kind and courteous, which makes me want to stay a customer alone. The drycleaning itself seems great and well-done. Jim was very kind and allowed my mother to pick up my dress without hassling her, after me only vaguely mentioning that "maybe I'll ask my mother to pick it up for me" and another time, waiting patiently for me to return upstate 2 months later for the blazer that I had forgotten about. If that was all, I'd give it 5 stars. However, a new blazer I dropped off had the buttons melted off.....and then my wedding gown's back (hidden) buttons also mysteriously were melted off and/or fused together oddly. While Jim worked so hard on the dress to remove old food stains that I didn't believe could be removed, the melted back buttons made it impossible to close the dress. So I feel like I need to remove 2 stars for those two items. Jim was super gracious and offered to take each item back and fix the buttons, with no hesitation, but I am hesitant to drop off anything else with buttons. The blazer came back fine with new buttons and perfectly dry cleaned. I still have to pick up my wedding dress and examine it again, but it just cost me time. read more
