This guy is a crook. I am a single Mom just trying to keep my house maintained. He agreed to a contract to do the yrly maintenance on my whole house back up generator. I paid him almost $500 for the contract and he never ever showed. I called him every week for months trying to get him to come out and do the maintenance. He would always say he was on his way and would never show up. I had to call someone else out before the last hurricane hit, to fix my generator. He even knew it wasn't working and still didn't bother to show with a hurricane coming!! Shame on you Nick, you rob people. You certainly don't help them. read more

Nicholas "Nick" Marc Mckeon started a job for me in February 2022 and said he needed money for materials. He was paid 700 dollars and never finished the work. Excuse after excuse. This went on for over two months. Then I saw on Yelp reviews where he did the same to several others. See for yourself. He preys on innocent hardworking people. Do some research and you will see the truth. I sure wish I had. He has gone by A & A Smart Home Plus Electrical in both Leland and Riegelwood. One star rating is too high. Stay away. If I could rate these people lower I would. Biggest mistake I ever made in my life. Paid $7000 for a whole house generator back in Oct 2018. Waited 6 months. Nick was constantly telling us the unit is on the way, but it never shows up, with no call or text. When you text them you get lame excuses that often contradict what they (Nick in particular) have told you in the past. After all the waiting and excuses, the equipment was supposed to finally be arriving at our house. Stayed home for three days waiting and nothing shows. Took them to small claims court (you can look it up yourself, file # 19 CVM 309). Nick (owner) showed up at court and right after we were sworn in, offered settlement for the full $7000 plus court cost. That money was due by yesterday, and no payment has been made according to the office of the Clerk of the Court. Do yourself a huge favor and move along when looking for an electrical company, especially if you are looking at a big ticket item. Consider yourself warned. Side note: Our generator was just one of 10 that Nick was supposed to order. At $5000 per unit required up front, that's $50k into someone's pocket if they weren't delivered like our. Then again, it would be interesting to read any positive reviews of others who DID get their units. I'm betting we won't see many of those. read more

My parents were required to use this electrician as part of their contract with the home builder. They wanted to upgrade to a smart home with solar panels and a whole-house back-up generator, and Nick required them to pay the costs for the equipment up front. They gave him $27,000 (again, were required to use him by their builder) in summer 2019 and he has done NOTHING since then. They have been constantly asking when he was going to do the work, and it's been excuse after excuse, or else he just didnt show up when he said he was going to start. They gave him multiple chances, even though he started being rude to my mother and eventually refused to speak with her at all, only allowing my dad to talk to him. Still nothing. My dad pressed charges against him in January, and he has an upcoming court date. Also, I just discovered today that the Secretary of State dissolved the company for failing to file required reports. My wife hired A&A Smart Home Plus Electric to change out some breakers that were continually tripping. The breakers were under a warranty. I was going to do myself, but I was activated and deployed overseas with the Navy. A gentlemen with the company came over and was not sure how to handle changing out the breakers that were under warranty with new ones. Spoke to owner and it was decided that he would buy new ones at Home Depot and we can take back the old ones. Did not seem like a good solution, but my wife needed them changed. When she tried to return to Home Depot they were a different manufacturer and would not take back. She then proceeded to a local electrical supply that changed out the old breakers. New breakers in hand we called Nick the owner to either take the new breakers or refund us or swap out the breakers. Months of back and forth and no shows when he said he is coming, while we had someone at the house waiting on him for hours. Then there is always an excuse. Do not use him. He is not reliable and it will be a headache in the end. The whole situation is frustrating because I am deployed dealing with this and my wife is a Nurse Manager at our local hospital dealing with the Covid crisis. read more
