His attention to detail was obvious, and he took the time to make sure everything was done right. He installed several ceiling fans, recessed lights and additional outlets that we needed. One thing we especially appreciated was how clean he kept the work area. When he finished, everything was cleaned up as if he had never been there. Professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and genuinely takes pride in his work. About a year ago my AC unit stopped cooling, I looked up a couple companies to see if they could…read morecome out and check the unit and see what the problems were? I called Marvin and I advised him that I had renters in the unit and that they would be there when he arrived, he advised it would be an $85 dollar service charge, but that would go towards the cost of repairs if I decided to use him. Two hours after he was supposed to arrive on the job, I get a call telling me it would be $200+, I was shocked, I thought it was $85, then he told me that he had done the repairs, that the renters had told him to do the work??????? I was the only one that could authorize the work. He then told me that he did a service on the unit, put in freon in the system and he thought it could have a small leak (but did not check for the leak?), but said that he thought it would last at least two years, and that he would come back out at the start of the season to make sure it still looked good and follow-up service. The first time turning on the ac this year, nothing came on, I called him back and he said he would come over and check it. He advised that it needed a new compressor, that he could get the job done Wed or Thurs, I advised it would be more convenient for me to have the work done on Wed, he said he would check and get back to me..... never heard from him, so Tues night I send him a msg asking why, he said he text me, nope, then he said he might have sent me a msg from another number, nope, then said he could do it Friday, ok. Friday comes and my tenants advised they had been watching for him all morning, had not seen him, he sends me a text stating he had been out there all morning and that he was now waiting on another part that was leaking (stating that he was out there working on it Friday morning), but the ac unit sits in front of the window, and they were looking for him, but advise he never showed up. He text me and said that again, he was waiting on parts and they would be there at 5pm, so he would be at the house at 730am sat....... no call....no show..... send a text sat night....no response..... sunday morning he wants to start texting me telling me how much he has done and how he didn't charge me for this or that..... and arguing with me about stuff that has nothing to do with why my ac is not repaired...... then had the nerve to tell me "what I am not doing is begging for your business. Not meaning to be rude but that is not our business model." Never once did I ask anyone to beg, so I advised after waiting a week for the work to be done, I would find someone else to do it. I would not recommend using someone who does not call, does not follow-up and who is rude to the customer who pays his salary.

They came up with a plan for installation without using any exposed conduit. They finished the job quickly and we were very satisfied with the work. I have even used them at my father's house for an outside outlet that needed replacement due to a bad wire. I would not hesitate to use them for further projects.

Worst of all, he never called me or notified me that he was there or what happened; he just stopped taking my calls, and my generator does not work and is not connected. Although I paid him after being told he had completed the work, he in fact did not complete the work as promised. The generator does not work, and the worst part of it all is that after dozens of calls and messages to him, he has refused to answer my calls or text me back. He is ignoring my calls and messages and has left me, the consumer, completely alone, and all during hurricane season. Based on his lack of professionalism, his lack of follow-through, and his utter lack of customer service, I have had to scramble and look for someone else to come and finish his work before we get hit by a hurricane and lose power. All at an added expense. The only reason I am writing this is to hopefully help anyone thinking of using his services in Oak Island, Southport, Boiling Springs Lakes, and Wilmington, to learn about his lack of professionalism and be aware of his lack of follow-through or commitment to his customers. He will leave you waiting and will not call back or finish the promised work. Save yourself the trouble and hire a responsible professional electrician who cares about their customers. I called 3C Electrical Contractors, who were courteous, knowledgeable, professional and punctual.
