I have been coming here for years, and they always carry the stuff I need. They have knowledgeable people and people who go the extra mile to help you. I had some health issues, and they helped me with my edger by replacing my blade for me. I only paid for the blade. They also know equipment. I couldn't figure out how to feed my weed eater, and they knew and taught me. I bought a Bobcat ZT2000 and was talking to Jeff the owner was professional and respectful. I had an issue with the mower on a Saturday!! I called Jeff and he was on it and had a lead mechanic and long with another mechanic come out to my church and repair it. Jeff and the lead mechanic do mess around and have excellent customer service. DO NOT go to A & B Lawn and Garden in Riveroaks. TX I contacted A and B about my defective Toro lawn mower and spoke to Ben. I explained while mowing my yard, a large shard of the deck had broken off and shot out the side chute dangerously. I was advised by Toro to have A & B inspect my mower under the Toro warranty. Ben immediately asked for my receipt or if I had registered the mower. It seemed like they were trying to avoid the work. He then reluctantly advised me to bring the mower in for inspection. The next day, I took it in. The owner, Jeff, overheard me talking to another employee behind the counter. He sprang up, approached me, and began accusing me of abusing my lawn mower. He stated this numerous times, that I abused the mower. He later claimed I must have run over a rock. I replied that I had been mowing the same yard for 15 years and that I do not have large rocks in my yard. I questioned whether rocks normally destroy the decking of Toro mowers. If they do, then I would not recommend buying a Toro, because the deck should deflect rocks, not shatter and send shards of flying metal. Jeff stated this has never happened before with Toro mowers. I explained that another business researched and found that this has happened several times to Toro mowers. So who is lying. Jeff who does not want to assist, work or inspect the mower or the other business that actually spent the time to look up previous issues with Toro mowers. Jeff then compared my situation to driving a car into a brick wall and EXPECTING him to fix it. I was completely offended by this analogy, as he was blaming me for simply mowing my lawn as I have done my entire adult life. Jeff refused to inspect my lawn mower as Toro advised me to do for the warranty claim. Jeff then ordered his employees not to assist me any further. Jeff was completely disrespectful, aggressive, and unprofessional. He seemed more interested in selling products than assisting customers with warranty issues. How could he conclude that I had abused the mower or run over a rock without even inspecting it? Below are photos taken moments after the shard of metal broke off and shot out of my lawn mower. Notice my very rocky backyard (sarcasm). I am thankful that none of my family members were injured by this cheap Toro product. I was in need to get d100 john deere running 4 weeks ago a week be fore that it ran good only has 62 hours on it took to this place and payed 100 dollars to get it fixed 3 weeks later called and said it need new motor for $2300.00 or head job for $ 800.00 called them back said come and pick it up when i did owner said found a different motor and it would be $1300.00 still took it home thay keep the $100 for finding the problem ,when i got home and unloaded the next day found bent in valve cover from hitting with a hammer and keep the spark plug and pulled the head was not touched yet and found intake push rod bent and sticking in take valve dis assemble the head removed valves and cleaned them up and put back together with new parts 1. intake push rod $6.99 2. head gasket set $14.00 3. carburetor $ 20.00 and an 1.5 hours of work so $34.99 dollars and say thay charge $75.00 hour closer to $135 parts and labor instead $ 100.00 to remove spark plug and keep it and 4 bolts to remove valve cover and put it back on still got my money for nothing a rip off. read more

I made a mistake of giving them a good review before doing business with them just because they knew the best of the best of repair people. Now after doing business with them do not buy Maruyama if spelled right equipment from them just do yourself a favor and buy Echo and get good factory warranty and after out of warranty be able to buy parts for it at a reasonable price. Second I took a Echo chain saw in I have had for 20 plus years and it would start on about the third pull every time. Well it quit that third pull so I had them take a look. They came back with it needing a new carb. I will go for that after 20 p;us years so I went ahead with their $226.00 figure and waited a very long time before it was ready. Made a mistake of not having them crank to see how it worked now. I took it home and a few weeks later pulled, pulled and pulled and nothing. A few weeks later I tried it again and after about 50 pulls I took it back to have them check it out. First the owner wanted to make sure I was strong enough to start it. That was his BS. I have used it for over 20 years. Well it finally started but it had been pulled a good 50 times earlier that morning. He was very rude at it starting . I took home and let it sit for a few weeks and again pulled, pulled, pulled. That is no more A and B for me I will just the extra 20 miles and Scott Foreman will see that it is done right. This place is terrible!!!! They have had my mower for a little over a month...I only gave it a shot because it's in the neighborhood I live in... 1 ) i knew the choke on my toro was messed up and it needed to be adjusted I just didn't have the time to do it cause of work and family coming to town, so I dropped it off to have them get adjust it...i was told it would be about 3 weeks out I said ok and waited. 2 ) $80 (which was a lot to set a choke ) I get my mower home finally and it worked for like 20 min I stopped to move it to the other side of the house and put more gas.....IT DID NOT START!! 3) I called before they closed to let them know what had happen (by the way they never answer the phone) I got no answer so I left a voicemail. No one ever returned my call! So I took it back the next morning. 4) they said they have a 30 day guarantee so I left it for them and they said they would look at it...2 more weeks goes by I get a call saying it's ready so I told him I don't want it to break down when I get home again cause I would not be happy to have to bring it back a third time. He asked "what had happen that I took it in" so I explained what happen and he said "well this is news to me so let me look at it and try to recreate the scenario" and kept it for another 2 week.... 5) I call back ( still got no answer ) I left another voicemail asking about my mower because they have had it for far to long now...I get a call back from a blocked number (which I'm glad I answered cause I normally don't answer those calls) saying my mower was ready! At this point I expressed my andar and frustration with this place and he said "you can come in and chew me out if you want" no that's not what I want I want this to be made right and the customer to be taken care off! I could go in a bit longer but this place has taken up to much of my time already so moral of the story, this place has terrible customer service, they don't take pride in the work they do nor do they answer the phones or follow up with voicemails. updated.... I am a first-time customer of this shop, referred to them by another hardware store because they fix lawn mowers. The owner greeted me when I first walked in and explained his $43.30 policy regarding mower drop-offs. He told his employee to help me register my lawnmower so i could pay fee. This young man was rude, arrogant, looked me and acted like he thought he was superior to me. He kept smirking and looking down his nose. He was very dismissive. He took my payment, I went to my car and realized that I had NO verification of services/ acknowledgement ... just a receipt showing DEBIT CARD PAYMENT. I went back into the store to get proof that I had dropped off my machine ... chain of custody ... This guy, smirked at me and said, "I can print you out one." He should have printed one right along with my payment receipt. I should not have had to ask for something that is owed to me, as a customer. A young Black employee, stood nearby, while this person continued to demonstrate blatantly apathetic unprofessionalism. It's River Oaks! Historically known for harboring racists and racist-acting people. This white guy treated me like he was doing me a favor. He treated white customers with respect. After I first wrote a five-star review for good customer service I have to give an update. 3 months ago I went in here to find a part for my Husqvarna pushmower, and they told me they could order it from the manufacturer and they would call when it came in. I have followed up several times with them, and get the same answer every time: "back ordered from manufacturer". They never followed up with me, and I still have not received the part... 3 months later. A&B might be good when they have parts in stock (not sure as I did not get this service), but when it comes to them having to order parts their customer service is more than lacking! read more

After being a long time customer of Leonards, I got tired of them telling me 3 to 4 days on parts, you would think they were selling aircraft parts instead of tractor parts and lawn mower parts ,I needed a belt badly for my tractor of course Leonards said 3 to 4 days ,luckily I googled lawn mower and tractor parts and found this place the people were very courteous save me about $60 and did not have the Leonards attitude I highly recommend this place I'll never go back to the other place now that I have found them, keep up the good work read more
