I have used A&B Upholstery successfully for many years. They've always done a great job! Please read, if nothing else, the end of this long review!! Here's my history with them: They had twice reupholstered my 1940's precious outdoor camel back swing with a single upholstered back and three upholstered cushions that fit on a sturdy iron frame with wooden arms. This is a "one of a kind" glider porch swing. They did a terrific job reupholstering with Sunbrella outdoor fabrics. Then they reupholstered my indoor matching special Taos chairs with their big four cushions. Again A&B did a fabulous job including details like special contrasting piping on each cushion. Then about five years ago I asked A&B to reupholster my special 1940's office chair which was sentimental because it had been originally owned and used by my physician father in his office back in the day. I selected one of A&B's faux leather choices that looked elegant and professional. Again they did a great job! But here is the most important part of this review!! After about a year, I began to notice a gradual deterioration of the faux leather fabric. It began chipping, and over time, it looked awful. I tried coloring it with fabric paint to cover the defects. It honestly never occurred to me that I could complain about this. After all, It had been almost one and a half years since I'd had it reupholstered. So I continued for the next few years trying to cover the cracks and the chipping of the fabric with a matching color fabric paint from Michael's. After awhile I thought: "This is embarrassing. I paid for an upholstery job that should have lasted for twenty years and it's a mess! " I mentioned it to a designer friend of mine and she said: " Call the upholstery company and complain; what do you have to lose?" So five years after having this upholstery done, I called A&B upholstery company and spoke with the owner, Aaron Crespin. He asked me to send him photos, which I did. THIS COMPANY MADE GOOD ON THEIR PRODUCT. Aaron responded immediately confirming that he had had other complaints about this particular defective fabric. His company picked up my chair, reupholstered it with a better quality fabric I selected from their options, and returned it to my office within two weeks AT NO CHARGE. The chair looks fabulous! This company has restored my faith in the good ethics of small business. That's worth a lot in this day where corporate corruption , greed, and tax evasion seem to be taking over! I have a chair that I love but the cushion was goose down and was getting very tired and uncomfortable. I brought it in to A & B Riely Upholstery and they replaced the goose down with a foam cushion cut perfectly to size and used the existing fabric to cover the new cushion. I am sitting on it as I type and it is so much more comfortable and it looks so much better. It's like I have a brand new chair. I was given a quote and a specific time frame for completion and both were met as agreed. Highly recommend. read more

This is a great custom shop. The owner Aaron is courteous and knows his stuff. They do custom cushions, upholstery (repair and custom work), & foam cushions (new / replacement). The prices are very reasonable for custom work and although the storefront is not glamorous, they do have current fabric (kravet and other designer) selections if you don't bring your own materials. They are timely and efficient, and if you have special time sensitive needs just let them know and they will be honest about meeting them or not. One thing I have learned in design is everyone tells you "2 weeks", no matter if it's in stock, or on a truck in China somewhere. 2 weeks means "I don't know - you'll get it when you get it". Aaron will ask you what date you need your item and tell you if they can meet that or not. And they do. read more

These guys came highly recommended. I had them reupholster an old Lee sofa. While they were both polite and quick, I was shocked when the couch was returned with terribly puckered cushions and very crooked welt(piping). When I spoke to the owner, he said they normally suggest adding extra stuffing to the cushions to fix the problem. Seriously??? That is a very ineffective/bad solution to low quality work. When I asked him about the welt (piping) being cut along the grain he suggested that this was their standard. I was shocked because everyone else I have spoken to with experience in upholstery understands that welt has to be cut across the grain or it becomes almost impossible to keep from puckering and this is extra important with velvet. They were affordable and did fix the issue to the best of their ability but I would not suggest using them on anything mid-to-high end or with expensive fabric. That said, they do appear to have a decent small selection of upholstery fabrics at their shop. read more

Ive had nothing but luck with these guys. They made cushions for my danish modern couch off sketches I made and they came out exactly like I had intended and they have worn well after two years of heavy use. I took my vintage haywood wakefield lounge chair cushions down to have them redone and the price was exactly what I expected cant wait to see how they come out! This shop was chosen for me via a vendor in the Denver Design center to repair a leather sectional. It took the owner Aaron months to call me and schedule the appointment. You could tell he did not want to do the job since he was being paid a set amount from the sectionals manufacturer. Once we did schedule the appointment he came to the house and picked the large section up and promised delivery for a certain day. On the day of the delivery he showed up much later than scheduled with only 2 of the 3 pieces. No advance notice was given to us. We had a party planned that evening and it was a major inconvenience. Without all the pieces it may as well not have been delivered at all. However the work on the sectional was very good so we decided that while he was there we would order some outdoor cushions form him. He measured and left with a template. This was in January. In April I called to follow up, he said they were ready and we scheduled a delivery date. On the delivery date (Monday March 28 10:30) at the specific time no one showed up. I called the shop and the woman who answered said "no one was working today, so they wont' be coming". The owner is on vacation. THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL US! I arranged my day and schedule around this delivery. The owner has never followed up, never called, never apologized or explained and we have no cushions. We will obviously getting them elsewhere. read more
