I have owned a rental unit around the corner from A & E for about two years, and this guy has consistently come through with a good attitude, good prices and good service. One of the first orders of business when i bought my place was evicting some terrible tennants in my biggest unit that scared the good tenants away. Once the place was empty, I couldn't go inside the place to begin repairs because the carpet STUNK. It stunk like it had been used to wipe their asses and like it had barf all over it. i saw an ad they put on craigslist where he said he removed old carpet...it was a saturday about noon...he said he could get to me on monday, but i explained i was really in a bind, and needed the carpet removed...he said give him two hours, and sure enough, two hours later he is there removing my nasty, disgusting smelly old carpet. Since then i have used him to clean carpets and for carpet replacment. I will continue to use his services. You should too. read more

Went to the store 2 days ago, someone that couldn't spell tile waited on me. She could only take my phone number. Next day, call from store, setting up appointment for today at 09:30 in the store with someone that can hopefully spell tile. Today, at the store, 09:30. Sign says to ring bell. Rang bell twice, waited 5 minutes, no response. On the way back to my vehicle some JA came out of a truck and started yelling. I disregarded him and left. Don't care to be yelled at. I really like to thank the worker who she sent to do the 3 rooms which I thought was a 2 man job but, he too went beyond my expectation in completing the job by himself. Considering the fact there were no parking in front of my house that he parked 2-3 cars from the house and carried heavy loads of carpet and padding (including removing old carpets from the house) on his back. Yet, he remained professional and very courteous and did his job promptly with a smile. (He definitely worked hard) With that being said, I am a very satisfied customer and everyone here deserves more than 5 stars. UPDATE: So apparently, you can just call them and they will come out and fix anything you are unhappy with. In this case, they saw I was dissatisfied and CALLED ME to come back out and fix the problems. I appreciate that! Jesse came out this morning and cleaned off the glue and put in a new tack strip. Everything is good. So not only are they priced cheaper than the rest, they have excellent service too. Karina even followed up to make sure everything went well this morning. I give them 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5), with half a star deduction because they leave the door open :( I couldn't find my cat and was afraid she ran out (she was just hiding, thank god). read more

They installed carpeting in our building on the second and third floors. Looks great. Excellent service and very quick installation.

You get what you pay for, or in this case don't pay for. When I found A & E I was excited because their quote was significantly lower than the other I had received, and Erick seemed great when he came to do the consult. The real issues, however, didn't begin until AFTER the instillation was completed. The work was done in December and immediately we noticed the laminate floor seemed to be lifting and there was tape residue left behind (which is STILL THERE!). They reluctantly came out to address the lifting, but stopped responding to emails about the tape, as well as creaking. They also told my sister they had "warned me" that laminate might not be the best choice, but we never discussed any other option and when I stated this in an email they conveniently stopped replying. Do what I wish I did and save up your money and go with the real professionals - would absolutely NOT recommend these guys. read more

My situation is a bit different. My family and I have a home in Long Beach that we were renting out. The tenants destroyed the home, from ironed burned carpets, to shoe marks on the ceiling and broken windows and a backyard full of garbage. It was most definitely not how we rented it out. Erik, was awesome. We live out of state so mostly everything was done through phone calls, email, text messaging and my husband made one visit down there to see the condition of the home. Erik took care of everything for us. He made it look brand new again and he kept the communication going throughout the whole process. It went rather smoothly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs stuff done to their home. Erik and his crew replaced broken windows, repainted the whole interior, replaced all the carpet, replaced the blinds, lighting fixtures, fixed up the backyard and cleared out the garage and much more for a very decent price.
