I had rented an Air BnB in LA and before I could catch our dog after a muddy walk, he ran through the house and all over the (white!!!) carpets. I reached out to the rental owner immediately -- the appropriate thing to do -- to ask what she wanted me to do, and without hesitation, this was the business she recommended I contact. I sent a request for contact through Yelp and expected to hear back maybe the next day. Honestly, I was surprised by the VERY prompt (within an hour of sending the message!) and courteous response I received from the owner. He informed me he could send someone out the next morning -- totally reasonable -- for a free quote. The quote was quickly agreed to and the gentleman got right to work! The stains were completely gone with all evidence lifted by the time the cleaner left!! I kept in touch with the owner of the rental and learned that Spitz had done such a great job that if I hadn't initially reached out to her, she said she never would have even known anything had happened. ***They don't move furniture!*** Only one cleaner came and they weren't prepared to move furniture. The carpet is under the furniture.....how can a carpet company not expect to move furniture? I'm a 5"2 woman and I had to put rugs back under extremely heavy furniture by myself. Needless to say my back is killing me today thanks to Spitz. I definitely don't recommend this carpet cleaner. My area rug had a couple of localized spots that needed to be cleaned. This photo is the after. It appears they clean the rug with dirty water, and now the entire rug is stained and yellowed. Pretty frustrating when I just needed some spots cleaned. The price was good, but now I understand why. I honestly have no clue how this company has so many good reviews. We hired them to clean the carpet in 2 bedrooms, 2 rugs, and a sectional sofa. It came out to be over $500. We used a different company last year so we have something to compare to in terms of the final result. Spitz didn't do a good job cleaning off stains at all. Everything they cleaned smelled so damp like a wet dog for 2-3 weeks. We kept the doors open to air things out. The company we used last year used a nice clean scent in their solution that made our carpet smell nice immediately. We just didn't feel like anything was really clean. For the bedrooms and rugs, we had to go buy a deodorizer to take out the wet dog smell. We had to deodorize our house at least 2-3 times. It was totally not worth $500. I would not use this company again and can't recommend them. I truly believe their five stars reviews are fake. read more

I have a cream colored rug that's less than a year old that has normal wear on it but after the treatment it didn't look that much cleaner unfortunately. I understand it's a light colored rug but I figured that normal foot traffic dirtiness (people take shoes off in my home) wouldn't be hard to get out. Mike and his crew are absolute magicians! The low quality of my white (ish) carpet, made the stains look like permanent damage and I was convinced there was no hope for them. I was honestly ready to say goodbye to a big chunk of my deposit. Mike assured me that I would be pleasantly surprised by what they could do, while not over promising me anything. Keep in mind, he hadn't seen the carpets yet, I only described its condition on the phone. I really didn't have high expectations. Not only was I blown away by the results, they had managed to almost completely make a large water stain from my leaking washing machine look like it was never there. I wish I had a before picture of that one but imagine a blue/black giant circle at the end of the hallway picture. Note only did they do an incredible job, they are extremely trust worthy. I was able to leave my key in a lockbox for them while I was away for Xmas and they handled everything, cleaned up and locked up. They left me wondering why I never thought to do this before.... He arrived early and were nice. The appointment time is 10am and he arrived at 9:47am. This is great. He started to move all the equipment in right away and work. It took him 40 min to finish the job and take the equipment back to his car. He finished his work at 10:47am. Pretty efficient. But maybe it's my expectation. This is my first time hiring a carpet cleaning. It seems the dark spots are lighter, but they are still there. The staircase seems darker. It's midnight now, the floor is mostly dry. Probably staircase is harder to dry. Unlike rooms, there are windows. Will check it out tomorrow morning. Wish it would be cleaner. It's not easy to remove all the objects from a room and now have to unpack and carry everything back. $225+tips for 2 rooms and a staircase. The cleaning method is steam cleaning. read more

Mike came out and performed miracles on this the couch and got the spots out of the couch and it looks brand new!
