A little review. I headed out to Beer & Wine Hobby in Woburn expecting inflated prices and dude…read morebros talking over me in the hopes of buying a few packs of yeast. I was pleasantly surprised and way overspent my budget Prices are cheaper than Amazon on many things and only SLIGHTLY higher on other items. I could have gotten my mini auto siphon for the same price. Bottle wands are the same price. Bungs are a little over $1 each and airlocks are $1.50, so cheaper than Amazon unless buying in bulk. In fact everything is pretty close to Amazon, and in the case of glassware- cheaper. (and safer.) The 1gal jars I use for kombucha are under $7 each. Making a case $28. I paid $20 on Amazon for 2 booch jars. Glass 1gal carboys are also just under $7. You have to buy a growler cap for them separately. Or just get a universal bung. They have cheesemaking supplies, kombucha and kefir cultures plus all the right parts for getting those things fermenting right. I might've found my new favorite place.

For $100 fee, we could expadite it to about 2 weeks! Ok let do that? 2 weeks, 4 weeks 6 weeks 8 weeks go by with several messages, it's on its way! All kinds of excuses! Finally, the still arrives, she's beautiful ! But the problem, is that it sits down in the garage for about 3 months, and I haven't even got to clean it out!!! Due to health reasons, I decide to sell my still! At a small loss, but I figured my distilling days were over! But time marches on, I get a new hip, a small heart attack, stents, things are looking up! So I start thinking about distilling again! AND lo a behold, looks like ole John has turned over a new leaf! A week to 10 days shipping, we only sell what we can build, don't let the other guys hold your money for months, if we can't deliver it, I will send your money back to you! So I had questions, but it's a Saturday morning, but I'll call and leave a message! Jon picks up on the first ring! Being the salesman, he answers my questions, all is great, PLUS! If I text him, he will send me a free mini still!!! Oh boy! I'm already cleaning off a spot for the mini still! Here my credit card! Well the week to 10 days shipping turned into about 2 months, but here it is! Looks good, except I'm missing a critical part! ( Lyn arm) so back to the messaging ! But wait! What about that mini still that pushed me over the top to buy this thing anyway! Oh it's coming soon! Put the still together and she works just fine! But no mini still! I have a thread of messages so long, it takes minutes just to scroll thru! Still no mini still, with every excuse know to man! I told Jon I was going to write a review, and he probably really didn't care about reviews, he assured me that he did! I told him that I would say that his still is working fine, and it is! But it's been over 5 months now and I'm still waiting for my mini still!!!! I guess you can promise anything on the internet, and not have to deliver! It sorta makes me wonder " Whose lifetime he's talking about when he says his stills have a lifetime warranty ! I pray that I never have to find out about that! I promised Jon I would write this review, so here it is! Because where I come from, a promise, is a promise! So Quality of product is a strong 8 Customer service 0 J.R.

This business is a scam run by a guy who takes way more orders than he can ever fulfill and will…read morenot return your money unless you take him to court and you will win if you do easily since his paper trail is too fresh and clear peppered with unhappy customers due to either unfulfilled orders or crude unskilled craftsmanship. He is filling new orders while letting older unfulfilled orders pile up and he is scambling changing the name of his company to avoid the bad reviews but if you look closely you will see his connections so you can avoid getting wrapped up in his psychotic business model that supports him and only him. His dad makes beautiful Stillz.com but Jon cannot live up to his dads expectations or level of craftsmanship so Jon has crapsmanship at best. Stay away from Jon and American copper works or any affiliate.
