I have all my suits altered at A&J and they always get it right. Great value for the money. They know what I like, which are cuffs and jacket sleeve lengths and they always look good. You pay around $100 or so for hems with cuffs, waist alterations and jacket sleeve length alterations. read more

Horrible!!! Both of my suit jackets were ruined at the exact same place!! A 2-inch tear in each and left full of deep crease marks. The place is dirty, with a dog running around, and the owner was rude while pretending not to understand any English. By far the worst service l've ever had... Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this shop. read more

Have I told you that this is my favorite dry cleaners in Norfolk? Well, it is. I came in to have a mask that I purchased to be altered because the ear loops were too small. When I came to drop it off & pay she surprised me by telling me to sit my hind parts down while she makes the repair! WHAAT?? Here I am writing this review while she makes the repair. The place has a calming atmosphere with her friendly dog chilling by the door checking out the view. Since the pandemic started, she has placed a glass barrier between the customer & herself near the cash register. Not only did she change the ear loops, she actually made the mask better by closing openings near the nose & chin that were present when I bought it. 15 minutes later & she's finished! I thanked her for taking the time to quickly make the alterations so quickly when she did not have to! Folks, if you need dry cleaning or alterations, go to A&J Cleaners! read more

My boyfriend promoted to Capt Friday and needed rank sewn on his hat quickly. I stopped by on Monday around 345 and the hat was done by 5pm. The environment of this location was very friendly, quick and affordable for any uniform alterations. I'll definitely be stopping by when I promote! read more

The second to alter my outfit for my best friend's wedding (I was a groomsmaid) All of those experiences were great, well priced, and excellent quality of work! I recently came back in with a custom idea I wanted the shop owner to recreate for me! Not only did she rise to the occasion of completing my custom order, but she knocked it out of the park! I brought a felt hat to this cleaner and asked that they clean it. They washed it! The hat loss all it's form and style. They did not do any repairs, add starch or hat stiffener to properly return it to me. I would not recommend this cleaner for any fabric cleaning. Just laundry. read more

Typically my boyfriend and I would get our dry cleaning done somewhere on Hampton Blvd, but that definitely has changed! A & J 's was awesome. Not only did they do my dry cleaning in a timely matter but it was immaculate. I had a large order and I thought it was going to cost an arm and a leg especially since they were delicates (suits, ties and shirts) but it was a very reasonable price. I dropped my clothes off on a Thursday and they were done and ready to go that next week (about five days), and I had to have at least 7 items. I wasn't able to pick them up on time and they kept them and did not discard like I've experienced in the past with paces around Hampton Blvd. I'm very pleased with this business and will definitely come here for all my dry cleaning and alteration needs! read more

Absolutely fantastic. Along with consistently great service in getting shirts and dresses drycleaned, she did an incredible job altering a formal dress for a military ball.
