A bit difficult to find but when I did locate it my recycling was left no problem on a cart outside the business! Easy peasy!

The team at A&J made it super easy to recycle my 50" tv that had stopped working. I pulled up to the shop, a gentleman brought out a cart for me. We unloaded the tv and I was off. Not much too say other than it was super easy and painless to drop off e-waste at A&J's recycling. I had a bunch of random PC hardware leftover from a couple different PC builds. I also had an old monitor that I was able to drop off. All of this was free of charge! As an FYI they don't take florescent lightbulbs. I had a small 8 bottle wine fridge that I was looking to recycle. I called a number of places and no one said that they would take it. Based on the Yelp reviews I decided to try A&J. I called a few times and no answer but I loaded up the car and took a chance. When I arrived I showed the guy working there the wine fridge and was really happy when he said he would take it. I also had some old computer parts, cables, battery operated toys, dead tablets, old security camera, rechargeable battery charger, and network gear which they also took. Some of these items I had previously tried to take to Green Mouse but they would not accept. They do not accept light bulbs (of any type) and batteries (of any type). The guy working there helped me unload all the items and there was no charge to recycle any of the items. I highly recommend them!! (Note: I did find that the Ace Hardware in Los Gatos does accept batteries and fluorescent bulbs. Still looking for a place that takes LED bulbs) read more

You have already paid for an electronics recycling fee when you bought the unit from a store (CA fee). So, don't pay again when you recycle it. At AJ's they never ask for anything and they will help you unload your car too! During these COVID-19 times, just pop open your trunk and they do all the heavy lifting. Mr. Ibarra and crew were friendly , helpful and efficient on a rainy day. ( they didn't answer the phone, but he said nobody tends to hang in the office. So we just went ) They greeted us right away. Had a lot of miscellaneous electronics, printers, cables, purifiers and office equipment. Brought out a wheeled bin and they had my trunk and backseat unloaded within five minutes . Easiest way to find the place off Mabury Road. they have signs on Mabury directing too. ( my Nav system did a weird thing off Commercial.) Can't beat free drop off also! read more

Only free drop-off in the bay area. Don't pay. Consumer paid a recycling fee when the television was purchased. They can't take microwaves/LED bulbs since they don't accept money. I think the law says something about fees when handling certain materials. read more

This place can be hard to find as it is located in the far back of this small industrial plaza. It is a very small place. This place is a quick easy drop. Their covid procedure is pretty much just put what you want to recycle on the cart and walk away. You do not need to do anything else. It is pretty painless. I was able to recycle my printer pretty quickly at not cost but I was unable to recycle the empty cartridges as they do not take those. They will accept anything on their list without question. So glad to have found you! I was desperately looking for an e-recycler who took VHS... I know I know, how ancient of me, but we had a lot and I was not going to let them go to the landfills! A&J Electronics Recycling has 4 e-waste drop off locations (in addition to this address, one in Los Gatos, Mountain View, and another in SJ). There are other e-recyclers who charge per pound which I can imagine might deter some people from recycling. I went to QuickFix in Mountain View for a Saturday drop-off. It was super easy. Five stars all the way! A&J Electronics Recycling demonstrates why many of us like small businesses. The company is family owned and operated, serves community goals (recycling e-waste and helping the environment), and is customer-focused, courteous, and appreciative. I can't think of any negatives. So anyway, I went to A&J for the first time today, because my regular recycling facility wasn't accepting e-waste for some reason. I pulled into A&J's compact parking lot and parked about 20 feet away from the receiving area. After hopping out of my van, I was greeted by the worker (I think he's the owner), who proactively offered to help me unload a ton of e-waste from my van. That took all of about 3 minutes. There was no recycling fee, no labor fee (for unloading), no nothing! And get this: He thanked ME for dropping off the e-waste. Sure, he'll make some money on these items, but I've never ever been thanked by workers at any recycling facility for dropping off e-waste; well, not until today. I have nothing but high praise for A&J Electronics Recycling. I highly recommend that you consider this company for your e-waste drop-offs. Note: Access can be tricky. A&J is located in an industrial area of San Jose near the Oakland Road/101 interchange. Try to avoid the interchange if possible, due to the traffic bottleneck, which can be substantial even during this period of relatively light traffic courtesy of the COVID pandemic. If coming from the west, I suggest you take eastbound Hedding Street, hang a left onto Mabury Road immediately after the Highway 101 overcrossing, drive until you see the huge "761" logo emblazoned on a building in the modest industrial park where A&J is located, take the driveway immediately before or after the 761 building (both driveways work), and proceed to the back. You'll find A&J in the distant corner. The parking lot is a bit tight, but negotiable. If coming from the east, take westbound Berryessa Road, then hang a right onto Mabury Road just before the 101 overcrossing. read more

I finally got rid of all my old Cds! The guy there was nice and friendly, but didn't speak much English. I just gave him a box and left. They don't except VHS though unfortunately so those are just going to the trash. I always recycling what I can rather than throwing away in the trash. read more

Not much to comment on here, the experience here was quick (30 seconds or so). The business is in the very back, so keep looking for it. There was a big black bin out front where you can drop off your eWaste. I dropped off my old P4 desktop, exchanged pleasantries with the guy working there, and just like that I was out of there. So fairly quick drop-off process. Bring your old electronics here rather than throwing in the dumpster. I kept my harddrives for security reasons but I think they can destroy them for you at a cost. read more

It is a long building with many suites, so go all the way to the end of the building. I brought a few things to recycle including old Christmas lights. I got there at 5pm but saw a wheelbarrow next to the sign. I put my things in the container and a guy came out to greet me. Free and easy! I was surprised on their website that they accept VHS tapes, audio cassettes and CD's. I have thrown so many out. I'll need to save them up and bring them back now that I know! read more

I really hate to throw things like plastic in the garbage that end up in the landfill. It is extremely hard to find a place in the bay area that recycles cds, dvds, vhs and cassette tapes. Well I finally found that place in A&J Electronics Recycling. They accept all kinds of e-waste for free. I had 4 boxes of floppy disks, vhs and mostly cds and dvds and the kind gentleman fro A&J helped me unload my car. The service is fast and friendly and I will definitely use them again. read more

Easy e-waste drop off. Just pulled up, unloaded the electronics, tons of cables, phones, etc. They said "thank you" and I said "thank YOU!" Not so obvious though where they are located.
