The staff kind and had patience and compassion with us in a difficult time. I cannot easily state how much the process was easy, and while not painless also not tied up in bureaucracy as I had expected it to be. The young woman who was helping us was incredible (I unfortunately cannot remember her name, and I hate that. I'd really like to call her out by name). The little I looked at the firearms pricing I think they are very competitive, but as a non-New Yorker for the past 38 years, I can't purchase there so I didn't dig in deep. We also picked up a little Camo outfit for our 18Month old grandson while there. Pricing for the work they did was very reasonable, and she made sure we were getting enough insurance in case the unthinkable happened. I cannot say how they improved a horrible moment for us. After winning items in a recent auction with my business partner, ran by this company in the…read moreCleveland, OH area, we were shocked by an email on the 2nd day of a 7 day pick-up window that our items had been resold. The company's explanation was that all items needed to be paid for immediately and this state was in the terms, Well after looking and navigating though several pages on the website I found this statement, but not on the individual auction page, and in addition there is a statement state that special arrangements are made for those paying cash on pick-up as my partner indicated was his intention. The companies response to this was that this email went to his spam folder which is hard to believe since they had prior email exchanges. My guess is that he had a regular customer that had bought some of the other boxes, so he sold our boxes to them since indeed they had no other auctions in the area. Blackbird auction has lost my partners and my business, as well as anyone that I have even an iota of influence with once informed of there business practices. They may be great at real estate, but their auction website and disclosures location need revisited, as well as an email system that delivers or spams email sporadically. follow-up: Bill L responded almost immediately with a word? that resembled a sheep sound although I think he meant a whining sound followed by " follow the rules" and then "go away". Well, besides being a statement of your professionalism, if I could find the rules and they are clear, I'd follow them. However when rules conflict there are no rules. and believe me, I'm already away, as far as I can get..........
