I was surprised when he came back in just under 2 hours and said that the mechanic waited to take their lunch until my car was completed. I was amazed and the price was less than I would expect to pay elsewhere. I have always taken my cars for service here over the past 4 plus years I have lived here even though t is not the closest Chevy/GM dealer to me. It is because of service like this that I will continue to bring my vehicles back her to be serviced and they will get a nod for our next auto purchase.

He originally took my call about the Honda I saw online, and when I asked if it had a clean title, he not only texted me the answer, but a picture of the report. I planned on coming in the next day, but due to a change in plans, I was able to come that same day. He answered every text and informed me that he would tell me if the car had been sold, so we wouldn't drive up to find out then. He also let me know the policy on used cars due to how quickly they're moving right now- something that the guy at the other dealership never cared to do. As you can tell by now, I had a bitter taste in my mouth from my previous experience and expected every salesman to be the same. Tim was not. He went above and beyond, and every single person that we encountered was extremely friendly and eager to help. Tim was finishing up with another customer, so another guy pulled the car around. I didn't catch his name, but he was extremely friendly! Once Tim finished up, we took a test drive and all talked on the ride. Not once did I feel pressured into buying. Tim was so personable and laid back, and I got really good vibes from the business and atmosphere which made me purchase me awesome new Honda that day! He was straight forward with pricing and negotiation and it was such a painless process. Matt, the finance guy, was also super friendly and made the paperwork a breeze. He was so welcoming and never pressured me to purchase anything additional. I really appreciate that! For the first time in two weeks following my accident, I finally felt content. I miss my old civic like crazy, but I am so happy with how my experience went that I know I made the best choice by purchasing my car from McElwain. I drove away tonight no longer being afraid to drive and look forward to making great new memories in my new Honda.

For the second visit, we agreed I would drop the car off on Friday and it would be ready by Sunday. By Sunday, I received no response to multiple calls and texts. I was completely understanding if the work needed more time, but the lack of any update prevented me from arranging a rental car or transportation to work. After two additional days without a response from him, I went to the shop in person--Anthony was not there--and I only received a call back after his camera system alerted him. I picked up my car on the fourth day, but he was again not present and asked me to leave payment and retrieve my keys without any explanation of the work performed. Given the cost, I expected at least a brief discussion of the repairs. In addition, he was not at all apologetic for the lack of communication and leaving me stranded without a car. He also asked me to return after 500 miles for a follow-up of the work, but despite calling and texting to schedule, I have still received no response after 17 days. The customer service experience was extremely disappointing and I would expect a mechanic to take a little more pride in their work.

Instead, I was lied to repeatedly -- first the part was "in inventory," then it wasn't, then I was told I'd be refunded. None of it happened. Just excuse after excuse after excuse. Once he got the money, communication completely stopped. Texts ignored. Calls ignored. Voicemails ignored. He is now actively ignoring the insurance company as well, which speaks volumes. Then it got worse. He held my second vehicle hostage because he failed to pay a subcontractor he hired to fix a problem he caused. Let that sink in -- my property was leveraged to cover his financial incompetence. This is not just unprofessional -- it is deceptive, unethical, and predatory. In my experience, this business follows a clear pattern: collect insurance money, delay indefinitely, dodge accountability, and disappear when questioned. At this point, legal action is unavoidable. If you are reading this and considering Bodine Auto Works, walk away immediately. There are bad shops, and then there are shops that should not be in business at all. Save yourself the nightmare. I had an engine that was bad from when I purchased the car and the warranty was covering the engine. I was told in October that my car would be done in TWO WEEKS... I waited and waited and waited for a call for one to never happen. On January 3rd I called them to ask what was going on. They said oh good news warranty covered your engine. I said yes I know they did. You told me in October it would be done in two weeks and it's now Jan. They both denied making this claim. I have witnesses that heard it. They also stated that we were allowed to make payments to them which is why we agreed to allow them to work on my car. All to turn around and BOLD FACE LIE yet again and state they never said that. They had told my wife over the phone the total without the deductible would be around $300-$400. Include my deductible would around $500 max. I was charged $1050. I paid them all the money and didn't make payments as they had once agreed upon. I talked to my warranty department and they said they sent in the invoice for the car in mid December. Mind you, you cannot do that until the work is supposedly done. When I called on Jan 3, they said it would be 2 more weeks before it was done. If you can trust LIARS to work on your car, then this is the place for you!

Not only did they have it done by the time I requested, it was done by approx. 10:30 AM. Considering I called and then dropped it at 9 AM and they had it done an hour before the time I requested, I'd say this is fantastic customer service from start to finish.
