First off, the furnace was undersized when we advised that past furnaces needed to be a certain size. Then it needed to be replaced with a larger unit. Several times, Gord, the owner, promised us a 'turn-over package' that would include all manuals and any other pertinent information. We have made multiple requests in person, writing, text with absolutely no response or manuals being provided. We now regret ever using Canuck because if this is their form of customer service after the fact, we would sure not like to get into a service situation with them. We do not recommend using Canuck Plumbing and Heating.

They were the company that put in our boiler system 9 years ago. In the fall (which was already in…read morethe negative degrees), we had them out for a service call, as we woke up with no heat. I thought, 'who better to service our boiler, than the company that installed it'. The service guy that showed didn't know boilers very well (interesting that they would send him then). Then after checking everything out, he says he doesn't know anything about this boiler system, but he'll see what he can do. Ok, I'm all about giving people a chance; and he was nice and polite. He ended up changing a fuse (or something like that). He says it's all good to go and writes up the bill. As he's putting his boots on (after charging us a couple hundred dollars), I turn the heat way up and check the registers; NO heat. I tell him there is still no heat. He says, "oh it takes a few minutes to rev up, it'll be fine in about 15 minutes" and runs out the door. As you probably guessed, we still had no heat that night. Next day I call the company. He said if we wanted another tech out, that's a separate service charge. I informed him that the problem we called for, heat, is not fixed, so it's the same service call. He said to me "the tech did stuff while he was there, therefore you have to pay for it, and that's a service call". Well now I'm just getting angry; so I ask him if he knows it is ILLEGAL to leave a residence, once called out to it, with no heat in cold weather, which is exactly what his tech did. He says the tech replaced a part, so he did his job. If we want another service call it will be another fee, end of story. So much attitude, so little care :( Do NOT recommend!!!!!!

Saved money with duct venting controllers instead of larger AC units, saves on operating cost as well. The installation team showed up on time and finished on time taking their mess away when done. Doesn't get any better!!! Definitely a positive recommendation :)
