One has to be extremely apprehensive, in selecting a Carpet and Installation establishment. There is too much of hanky panky going out there. Then you hope, did I make the right choice. After some homework, I settled on A&S Covering. Albeit, a small and jam packed store, with floor option samples. The owner Serj, came home for the measurements, we settled on a date and price, and the installation began. In my case, just the top floor, removal and installation. This included, multiple rooms, closets and stairs. Just if you are wondering, on the bottom floor I had hard floors put in (beautifully installed by another company). All by design and selection. Why? To showcase two different levels of living space, that are dominated by your feet, in the same house. I was in panic when I called Serj when I found out my original flooring guy was unable to do tile installation. Serj was very responsive to my questions and concerns. He had his own tile guy come to the house during the estimate to make sure everyone was on the same page. The initial start of the job went pretty smoothly but towards the end we were faced with a lot of issues. There was definitely a language barrier with the tile installer so that could possibly be a big factor but even when we layed out what was needed and expressed our concerns there was a delay and dismissed our requests. Overall, the price for tile installation was reasonable. Serj was easy to work with but the tile installer needs improvement. The tile installer left a mess before leaving, some grout didn't match, and a few areas were unleveled and my husband heard a slight cracking noise when walking on it. But Serj offers a 1 year warranty on the tile installation. read more

I contacted Serj who came out and gave me an estimate to install porcelain tile in 2 bathrooms, a closet, and a laundry room. In addition I needed several broken tiles in the entryway and kitchen replaced. The installation was delayed due to the tiles I selected were on backorder. I got a few quotes but this place was the least expensive. I talked to the owner Serj on the phone and he was very helpful when I went over the square footage. He gave me a quote over the phone and what was included. He had Francisco come over here and he was so great to work with. he was very professional and it's obvious that quality is very important to them. They did the bathroom tiles. Just a tip if you haven't gone through this, you need to buy the tiles in advance. I had them cut tile for the trim as well. I believe if you need any touchups, they are really good about coming back as well. we had three small bathrooms done and it took about a day and a half. we are considering using them again for the rest of our house and I would definitely recommend you use them as well! read more

I will start by saying The whole process was too long. 1.- I had to make an appointment to just look at the tile sample, 2.-The owner came to my home 3 days later to measure it as I wasn't able to do that myself . 3.- He then told me and my husband he would have an estimate within a couple of days . 4.- I called Many times to his office , he didn't have voicemail set up either 5.- 1 week later he sends a text stating " your price will be around 15k to 16k depending on the tile you pick" 6.- This is without including the stairs removal because he said we would have to find someone else to do that 6.- Mind me he had also stated he was booked for another 3 weeks 7.- We found someone else that could do all of it at 10k . read more

Having delayed replacing the awful ancient carpeting in my parent's home for over two years, mainly because it seemed overwhelming, expensive, and inconvenient -- particularly in one room that had a giant china cabinet --, I finally stopped wandering the aisles of Home Depot and went to an established local shop and never looked back. I told the owner (Serj) generally what I wanted and he made several useful recommendations, showed me examples, and explained the differences and pros and cons. He knows his flooring! He came out & measured the house, gave me a very reasonable price, and even made an additional suggestion for a slightly better but similarly-priced carpet. I can't recall anyone so helpful and knowledgeable in all of my consumer forays. I was dreading the installation because of moving everything around, keeping the pets corralled, and the afore-mentioned giant China cabinet. However, A&S sent the most amazing installers -- not only were they efficient and courteous, but also their workmanship is amazing. The new flooring transforms the entire house! Why did I wait so long?! They also installed baseboards which is a great finishing touch and moved the furniture back when they were finished.
