We needed to replace the carpet in my house recently. We went around to a couple different flooring places and ultimately decided to order vinyl flooring from LA Floor Covering after speaking with Alex. He was very helpful and spent a lot of time explaining our options between vinyl, laminate, and carpet. His showroom had plenty of samples on hand as well. Prices were higher than what we were hoping to pay, but as Alex explained to us, the price of vinyl is rising due to increased shipping costs. We already had a contractor who doing other work on the house, so we didn't go through LA Floor Covering for installation. Beyond satisfied with our new floors! Romel was a dream. Professional, reliable, gave us an unbeatable price on materials and was in constant contact from beginning to end of the installation. Our house was built in the 1940's and it was covered in wall to wall carpet and original floor boards. I'm writing this review, because it exemplifies a real world example of how excellent customer service can save the day - and, a customer. Due to a mixup, re moving appliances, we had to reschedule our kitchen floor installation from a Saturday to the next Monday. The LA Floor crew came on time and did an outstanding installation job. During the installation, it was discovered that our pocket door would be blocked by the raised floor. Just as I was resigned to having to call someone to take the door apart with added cost & final installation delayed, an LA Floor Covering rep came thru a second time to check on the progress. He figured out how to remove the bottom cap on the door and take some sub-flooring off to enable the new floor to be installed without removing the pocket door. Appliances were moved and replaced without scratches and cleanup was excellent. THE NEW FLOOR LOOKS GREAT & OUR POCKET DOOR IS FUNCTIONAL. We highly recommend LA Floor Covering. read more

My wife and I stopped by this place during regular business hours in early November only to find the store closed. According to a sign by the door, staff was at a "nearby job site minutes away", and to please call. Call we did, and were told someone would be with us within ten minutes. 20 minutes later, I sent a text message saying we were leaving now. We were asked to wait for just another minute and were then met by the store manager, Monserrat Zepeda. After some conversation about product options and services, Ms Zepeda promised to send us more info and a few prices the following day by 430 pm. On the next day, 430 pm came and went - no call. I reached out to Ms Zepeda an hour later and she promised to call me back within an hour or so. Needless to say - no call. On the following day, just more crickets - still no call. OK then... It appears as though this store does not need anybody's business, or at least not ours. We do wonder, though, how they make any kind of living and what exactly they are selling. Either way, after not hearing back over two days, I advised Ms Zepeda that no more estimates were needed. From the moment I reached out, they bent over backwards to make sure our project went as smoothly as possible. Picking out the product was the easiest thing I've ever done. The prices are super competitive. Product is beautiful. And Sam and his installation team were nothing short of amazing at what they do. Ok, where should i begin. Very very nice people, the store opens during the weekend. And after my flooring shopping around the town, I figure out they price the floor pretty reasonable. Nadine, Marleen and May, they really went above and beyond to help me. Nadine helped me pick from tons and tons of samples, and when the stair nosing color doesn't match the floor, Marleen send the old ones back to the warehouse and get me new ones the same day. After my painting contractor accidentally scratched few steps of my stair, i was needing two more pieces of nosing, May and Marleen took care of that all on the phone. I didn't even need to come in to the store or anything. Only downside is that the store doesn't have much storage room, so you really want to manage to pick up on time which i couldn't be able to manage. Marleen hold the products for me, but i would recommend schedule your pickup better than me :P Btw, when they say let me figure out and call you back, they WILL call you back ASAP. read more

Professional, knowledgeable and reasonable describes this wood floor company. My wife and I purchased a condo in West Hollywood that needed some cosmetic work and started looking for a wood floor company. We were told by several contractors that our floor installation is going to be difficult in areas where the tile meets the wood (kitchen and bathrooms). Since the marble tile was installed so high off the ground and our floor was very uneven they wanted to use wood molding for transition in several areas (needless to say we do not recommend the tile company). Emile from LA Floor came in to give us an estimate. We told him our concern and that we are looking for a seamless transition. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to measure every corner. He said that they can commit to a smooth transition except for two areas. We hired them because of his knowledge and patience with us and the fact that their price was comparable to other bids we had. They did a great job! They took the time to level the uneven floor and surprisingly we ended up with only one transition molding in the entire place. The floor looks great! We needed to put flooring in my mother in law's house and selected from Yelp three flooring businesses with good reviews. All three came out to the house, conducted a walk through, gave us advice, comments and written quotes. One of those was George from LA Floor Covering. We also visited two showrooms and had the pleasure of meeting Marleen at LA Floor Covering. Marleen brought out a number of floor samples and gave us information on different qualities and types of flooring. She also made recommendations on wall colors and demonstrated in depth knowledge and expertise relative to flooring. My wife takes interior decorating very seriously and we went back two more times to reconsider different flooring types and wall colors. Marleen recommended Pixel White as a wall color and my wife ended up selecting that color for all interior walls. Marleen always made us feel like we were her only customers and gave us all the time and attention we needed to make a selection. After deciding on what we thought were good selections we solicited a best and final bid from the three flooring businesses and LA Floor Covering came in the lowest, although by just a little. One did not respond. We decided to select LA Floor Covering and George came to the house for a final walk through. The job was started on time and completed a little early. We are very pleased with the quality of the flooring, the workmanship, the timeliness, the cost, and the unfailing courtesy shown by Marleen and George and by the management of the job.
