Recently I had the pleasure of working with Matthew Davidson from Valley Carpet One in Sherman Oaks on my brother in laws flooring. He is a Vietnam veteran who is entitled to assistance from the Veterans Administration due to his disabilities. We worked as our own contractor so hired Valley Carpet One to price the job, draw up flooring diagrams for each room and submit necessary paperwork to the VA. I want to first start off by saying Karen was amazing and I'm actually sad the bid was so high that we had to go somewhere else. I really wanted to work with her. I came here because my neighbor used them and got a great deal so I thought "Amazing, I'll get a great deal too". Sadly that wasn't the case. It was a long process to get the quote and when the quote came in it was $3000 higher than my neighbors. They explained they had made a mistake with my neighbors quote but it just seemed very high. I decided to check out other companies and they came in at the same price my neighbor paid so I went another route. I tried to work with them on lowering the price but they were firm which is ok.
