    I purchased my jetski from Performance East and brought it in for repair. A Kell was placed on the…read morebottom and after one weekend in the water it was gone. I took it back to Performance East and was told I would be given a discounted rate to replace the keel guard. Anna quoted us $387. While we question the warranty in the product we agreed to have the keel guard replaced. We drove from Raleigh for the Keel guard to be replaced. The work was done and we drove back to Goldsboro to pickup the jetski. Anna told us the keel guard must cure and not go into the water for at least 48 hours. While she was checking us out, the employees washed the jetski and the keel guard was ruined. It was literally peeling off in the parking lot of Peformance East. Anna said this was their fault and they would replace the keel guard. We returned with the jetski and upon checkout were told the total was over $500. What?!?! We have had to travel 4 Saturdays this summer for the repair that should have never happen. When the cost was questioned they were not please to hear our discontent. I stressed that due to their screwup we have had to make 2 trips to drop off and pickup from Raleigh. Besides, this was clearly not the quote price. We asked for $100 off to compensate for the travel and the inconvenience! I stood my ground and the sales manager came out and agreed but told us to never bring our jetski back. Look at other reviews. Apparently, this is a common statement to customers who stand their ground. Well, Mr. Sales Manger, I won't be back. I hope your monthly sales quota is doing great! It is time for a new FX SVHO and you have lost our business. We don't buy cheap toys! You are not the only power sports dealers. We have sung Performance East praises since 2015, but never again. We will steer our jetski group to another dealer. Horrible experience!

    RUN !!- don't walk away from this dealer!…read more Worst dealership experience ever (Rocky Mount) by far! After a lot of research on boats and prices, I purchased a Hurricane deck boat from them because they had the best price. That's the last good thing I can say, below are the reasons why: 1. Internal coordination is like the keystone cops. I live 3 1/2 hours away but I went there because they advertised the best deal. It took three scheduling tries to get to see the boat I wanted. The 1st time they called about an hour into my drive and said the boat hadn't been delivered from another office like they expected. The 2nd time they cancelled due to weather. The 3rd time the boat wasn't ready to be shown. I arrived around noon, and they had it apart and were just cleaning it up. Also, the motor was visibly damaged - but never mentioned in out discussions. Each trip was scheduled at least a week in advance. 2. The boat was supposed to have been water tested, clean, and full of gas when delivered. Delivery was supposed to be in the morning because of bad weather coming in the afternoon. I got a call saying they were going to be late as the boat wasn't cleaned up yet. When they delivered the boat, it was almost out of gas, and the boat speakers were broken from the power wash. The storm was coming in, and they drove the boat a short distance to my dock. I didn't have time to thoroughly check the boat. I did notice the boat was not strapped down to the trailer and wasn't delivered using a transom saver as promised by the service manager. 3. When I checked the boat the next day, I found the trim instrument didn't work, the ladders weren't working properly, the motor which was replaced didn't have the decals, the prop was dinged, AND the steering didn't work! When you turned right it went left and vice versa!! The drove it to the dock and never said a word about it - DANGEROUS!!! Obviously they did not do a water test on the boat. 4. They picked up the boat the next day and promised to fix the problems. I did ask them to put in a NMEA 2000 interface between the motor and the Simrad GPS. I also talked with their president, Lance Cherry, who said they would take care of everything. 5. The service manager does not know his products. He initially told me they could not interface the 2023 Suzuki motor with the Simrad, my motor was the wrong version. I told him he was wrong and about a week later he said he'd checked with Suzuki and gave me a very inflated price to do it. He also said the boat did not need a transom saver because the motor had one built in! After checking with Suzuki, I found out the "kick stand" was for working on the motor and NOT to be used when traveling. There was an adapter the works with the trolling motor. The service manager said it was for the headlights! When they redelivered the boat, it was not strapped down (contrary to federal and state requirements), no transom saver, and the trim tab and analog speedometer still didn't work. 6. Never again! Also, I never heard back from Lance after leaving him several messages.
