Pulled into drive thru with 3 cars ahead of us. Noticed inside was empty. Waited over 20 minutes and the line didn't move an inch. Gave up and went somewhere that actually respects customers' time. Reviewing just the Freeze Root Beer drink. Really good on a hot summer day. Highly Suggest the Freeze instead of the Float!! Service wise is not good. The place feels kinda dirty and not very sanitary. We got the drink and when the person handed it to us, he put the long spoon on the counter instead of handing it to us. The counter is probably very dirty. People were sitting on the tables. Thankfully there weren't a lot of people inside. Not sure about the food here. Kinda expensive. read more

My friend and I were on our way from a land where caffeine was forbidden to visit the Lava Hot Springs. As we turned off the freeway we saw A&W, and decided to stop for what A&W does best: Root Beer. The best ever made outside of the one of a kind craft variety. Icy, creamy, vanilla goodness straight from the tap. Err...spouty thing. Damn it's good. No we didn't order anything else because root beer is all you need. All you need is root beer. The lady at the window even put up with our obnoxious overly excited about hot springs laughing loudly about nothing selves. So four stars. Because root beer. One star for being there when we needed you. read more

$6 Coney cheese dog combo It's kinda pricey for fast food hotdogs, fries, and a drink. The hotdog was fine but the chili and cheese that came with it tastes like dog puke and plastic respectively. I still ate the whole thing. I might be sick in the head. They have specials everyday that will save you a few cents but I didn't want a float. At this exit it's pretty much this place or Subway and I refuse to eat at Subway. Decor It's inside a gas station. Taco Time is on the same menu. Service Service was fine but they charge $.21 for a cup of water. Jerks. Would I come here again? No. I hope not. read more

Very dirty and so slow. You need to carve out quite a bit of time if you want to go through the drive thru.

I didn't have high hopes for this gas station joint, but my kiddos were hungry, so we stopped for some gas and lunch. I get it...we're in the middle of no where, kids are running the counter, but I fail to understand why when we finally got our food 30 minutes after we ordered it, the order came out all wrong and we were still asking for our rootbeers. It would have been faster to drive to a bigger city than sit in a fly infested gas station restaurant waiting for our food. Keep on driving folks. I set the bar low, but this shack managed to keep on digging, and lower the bar even further. read more

Don't waste your time stopping. We pull into the drive thru at 9:31am wait, holler, then I call the store and they answer the phone and I ask what time do you open. She reply's 9:30, I state the time Of 9:31 and she says yes but I'm not quite ready yet. Sounded very young and disrespectful. We live local and had such a horrible experience a long time ago that tonight was our first time back. Shame on us, as just as bad if not worse. Took over 15 minutes in Drive thru and not one single customer in restaurant; also right during dinnner rush. We got home with our order and our Pappa Burgers were no more than a hamburger. No double meat patty, no cheese, and smothered in sauces. Almost not even edible and we paid full price. Really disappointed. read more

Don't go here! Waste of time. Pulled in and was the second car in line. When I got to the drive thru menu there was a sign in the menu that said please pull forward the intercom wasn't working. Pulled forward to the window. Waited behind the first car. In the meantime 2 more pulled in behind me and the truck in front of me left after being at the window for some time. Then I pulled up the the window. Waited for 5 minutes while employees looked at me from inside. Then a 3rd car was behind me. Eventually one person got out and asked me if I had been waiting long and then ended up leaving. Then the 2nd car and eventually the 3rd all left and I followed as well. I called them once back on the road and they told me "well we only have 3 people working today and we are busy. We tried to tell people to come inside to be served" isn't that the purpose of a drive thru? Not coming inside? read more

Don't stop! Don't stop! This is not a regular A&W, it's a part of a gas station. 2 of our 3 burgers had to be sent back because the order was wrong. They still didn't get one right the second time. Burgers were microwaved precook and not very tasty. Fries were so so. Fountain drink machine and area around it was yucky. Horrible decision to stop. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! Ordered two medium root beer freezes at 9 pm, didn't get them until 9:20 pm while there were three girls working! One was very helpful and took everyone's orders, as there were quite a few. But the other two girls did aimless work while the other tried to get everyone else's orders. Never stopping there again, and if you're smart I suggest you don't either. read more
