So pleased with Anytime Movers! Found them online, scheduled my move via email with Shanise. This was a move into a 2 bedroom condo on the second floor, 2 sets of stairs. I was able to fill out the household move questionnaire on line and immediately after, Shanise emailed me more specific questions. I sent her pictures of my place to see the stairs so she could give me a cost assessment. Everything was so simple. A very easy scheduling process. Communication was exceptional. Movers arrived to first house at 10 am. All the furniture was blanketed and wrapped. I was very surprised to see how carefully all was prepare to prevent any damage. Delivery to second house by 1 pm with a 45 minute drive to new destination. 3 moving men- Gregory, Freddy, and Chano. They were awesome! Many of the furniture pieces were very heavy. The team worked well together. They were efficient, very respectful and had great attitudes while working not commonly seen with such a labor intensive job. They took good care of my household goods and furniture and took pride in their work ensuring my dining room table was put together properly, and that the furniture was arranged to my liking. They even helped me locate some glass shelves, I had mistakenly put away thinking the shelves were part of the move. This is a well run company. Chris, the manager, followed through at the end of the day and Courtney followed up the very next day to ensure everything was met to my satisfaction. What can I say about A Anytime Movers. Well, they saved me from losing my marbles and money. I recently moved and as we all know, moving is quite stressful. From first contact w Sonja, to follow-up by Shanice, to confirmation by Chris, to the day of the move when Greg, Freddy and Chano arrived 30mins early and got right to work, they were fantastic! My move took about 5 hours. I'm ashamed to say i had a lot to move. The guys were great. My headboard got damaged which i expected, but Greg and Freddy did a good job repairing it. Chano moved at the speed of light but was careful. They were all nice, professional and we laughed quite a bit over the five hours which helped ease my stress level. After everything was said and done, after about two days, i decided i needed to move some stuff back out and into a storage unit because my new place was just overcrowded w boxes and i was feeling overwhelmed. I contacted Chris stressed out and on a short timeframe and he was able to get Freddy and Chano back out to me to help get stuff to storage. When we got to the storage, the elevator wasn't working and the guys had to walk everything down a flight of stairs. I was so upset and apologized profusely, but they assured me it was ok and they would get it done. And they did, quickly, too. I can't tell you how Chris saved my sanity. The guys were great and I'm so satisfied with the experience. If i ever make a local move again, A Anytime Movers will be my first call. Excellent service--the office was efficient, helpful and courteous, as were the men who did the actual moving. This was a small-scale move from DC to New York, with very little furniture and mainly boxes, picking up on Friday, storing over the weekend and delivering on Monday. We contacted them on personal recommendation and organized the move about a month in advance, putting down a $50 deposit. The boxes for packing were delivered, as promised, the week before the move--I've moved a lot of times and there have always been problems with getting boxes in advance, yes, they charge you for them, but reasonable rates. The move was scheduled for 2 to 4pm, and on the day of the move they called around 10 to say that they could come earlier if it was convenient. We agreed, though it meant stepping up the pace of packing a bit, and we were still packing when the men arrived at about 12:30. They were courteous, helpful, and very efficient, taking our stuff down from a sixth floor apartment to the truck (yes, a Budget Rental truck, which can take you unawares when your looking out for them). It was all done by 2:30 in the end. At the other end, they called when they arrived (I'd thought they'd have called ahead to give a little warning, but not a problem). They coped with a townhouse with a small elevator and rather awkward access on a sweltering day with good humor and efficiency again. The billing came through on credit card, as agreed, a few days after the move was completed. I'm happy that we dealt with Anytime and very satisfied with their service. read more

I think the other good reviews are pretty clear and there is not much else I can add. I called Anytime Movers because of the reviews on yelp. I moved from one apartment in DC to another apartment in another area of DC. The customer service was great. They were very clear about pricing and there were no surprises on the day of the move (or after). As a military brat, I have moved plenty (I mean plenty) of times. I have experienced my fair share of good and not so good moves. This is what working with moving companies should look and feel like. I called and left a message and I emailed Anytime Movers and received a prompt response. I was asked about my moving date and was offered several options for dates and times. I was asked for a general list of items (boxes and furniture) that needed to be moved. I was also asked for details about the properties I was moving to and from(e.g. Is there an elevator? Are there steps?) Once the move was scheduled, I received a confirmation email the day before the move and a confirmation telephone call the day of the move. I was able to pay for the move using my card (some moving companies will accept a credit card deposit but will request the balance in cash on moving day). On moving day, the movers showed up 15 minutes early. Yes, early! They were efficient and all my things were in my new place within the expected time frame. *Please note that the majority of communication with Anytime Movers was via email. This is my preference since it is much easier for me to send and read an email than to call. read more

I needed a packing and moving service on short notice (my original choice had to cancel before the storm, and I needed to be out of my apartment by the end of the month). After submitting an online request at about 730 PM on Tuesday night, I received a call about an hour later from Chris, who talked through the logistics of my move and scheduled a team to execute the move on Thursday afternoon. Throughout the day on Thursday, the team at Anytime was extremely communicative (I was the afternoon move; they kept me updated on progress on their morning job so I'd know exactly when they'd arrive). My team was Chano, DJ, and Tim -- from the moment they arrived they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and immediately got to WORK. They had to work around me (I had to be on call for my job), but asked questions about how I wanted certain items packed, if I wanted pieces of furniture disassembled, etc. They guys couldn't have been more efficient or thorough. After the packing was complete, the team quickly loaded their truck and drove to a local storage facility. If I thought they'd been efficient packing up the apartment, they were even more impressive getting everything out of the truck and packing my storage unit amazingly well ("Like a Game of Tetris!" -- Tim). Finally, they brought a few remaining boxes back to my new apartment. Overall, could not have been happier with the experience. The customer service, led by Chris, was amazing, and the movers were absolute PROs. Couldn't recommend Anytime movers more highly. Use these guys! read more

My third move within DC and my first time hiring movers. I was moving from a row house near the Navy Yard area of DC up near Bethesda into a condo building. I reached out to a few companies friends and co-workers had recommended, and chose Anytime Movers! The movers were a little late in the morning of move day, but it was nice that they called me letting me know they were running a few minutes behind, and then called again when they had arrived. I do not own a lot of furniture (basic bedroom stuff and a few boxes) so they were able to move my stuff out within about 30 minutes. They wrapped my dresser and were careful with my bed and desk. Once at my new place, the new building had a lot of load in rules that the movers complied with (they said they had dealt with it before). The movers moved everything in within about 30 minutes as well, and they were very pleasant - even when I was stressing about keys and other things unrelated to the move (haha). After unpacking everything, I did not find anything broken or damaged - but I did carefully pack and wrap fragile things in a ton of bubble wrap. I think the key to hiring movers is to be super organized and make sure you pack things appropriately. I should also note that I used my parents van to move my more valuable and fragile items myself (TV, etc.). I would definitely recommend Anytime Movers. After contacting several moving companies listed here on yelp, I selected Anytime Movers and I'm so glad I did. Being pretty new to the area and not really knowing many people that I could ask for recommendations, I had to rely on internet searches. My first contact with Chris in the office really put me at ease. He did a very good job explaining their moving process and the pricing structure. He was very familiar with my current and new residence and loading dock locations. My one bedroom apt. move took 3.5 hours from start to finish. Im sure it could have gone faster but my building double booked the freight elevator (duh) so we had to share with another moving company. My Movers Troy and Rolando were professional and patient throughout. At one point they even started helping the other company move items closer to the elevator to speed things up a bit . Once the truck was loaded I asked the guys if they wanted to grab lunch on the way to my new Apt... They decided to keep working since they had another move after mine. Once we arrived at my new apt. the un-loading went really smooth and fast. I highly recommend this company.. A+++++ in my book. Just a quick note. These guys don't charge a truck or fuel charge like some of the othe movers I researched. read more

I first used A-Anytime Movers in 2011 when I moved into DC from Virginia. The experience was absolutely terrific, and since then, I have recommended them to many friends who have also had great moves because of their efforts. Since that first move, I've used A-Anytime two more times, most recently this past weekend. Each move was painless because of their professionalism and organization. My movers showed up on time and got right to work. Contending with a four-story walkup, they managed to have my one bedroom apartment loaded, transported, and unloaded in exactly three hours. The whole time, my movers (Nico, Maurice, Terrance, and Q) were friendly, polite, and very careful with my belongings and boxes. Just as good, A-Anytime's pricing is incredibly transparent and fair. I had a reasonable range for the total cost well before my move, and sure enough, they came in at the lower end of the estimate. I cannot recommend this moving company enough. I have had nothing but three great experiences with them over the past eight years. I know that when I move again, I will happily reach out and book their assistance. Anytime Movers was fantastic - definitely book well in advance as they have very competitive rates and book up quickly! I asked for a quote estimate a month in advance and was able to book a Friday afternoon spot (the last one) with an estimated arrival window of 2pm-4pm. Unfortunately, I was only able to reserve the loading dock at my new apartment until 5pm so I asked if they could try and come closer to 2pm, and they were able to accommodate that request last minute. The movers were incredibly nice, fast, and very careful with all of my belongings. I had packed most of my stuff into boxes, but they brought materials to wrap and tape up my TV and furniture at no additional cost. The one downside was that the truck provided was enormous (especially for my studio) and it took some extra time to get into my loading dock, but I emailed Anytime Movers afterwards and they refunded the additional cost graciously so five stars for customer service alone. As someone who has moved every year in multiple cities (and is stressed out every time), this was by far the best moving experience I've had. Very affordable hourly prices, great movers, and such good service that I felt compelled to leave my first Yelp review! read more

A Anytime Movers are amazing! I used the online system to request a quote for my move pretty late at night and received an email with a custom quote and all of the details you could ever need by 7 am the next day! They also called me to discuss the price quote and to make sure they had all of the correct information that morning. The customer service is excellent- they were quick to respond to my phone calls and emails and able to help with all of my moving needs. They are incredibly nice and so helpful on top of being so reasonably priced!! The day of the move went way better than I could have ever hoped! The movers were so friendly, polite, helpful, and efficient. They were careful when moving everything and were patient with me as I was finishing packing when they arrived. They wrapped everything with shrink wrap and padded everything so that nothing got ruined. When we got to my new apartment, they made sure all of my furniture, boxes, and other items went in the right room and even took care of all of the boxes and garbage before they left. Receiving any service that is fast, affordable and good is almost unheard of. You choose 2/3 and deal with it. A Anytime Movers fulfills all three with flying colors. I have never lived in a residence longer than 5 years and have dreaded moving every single time. A Anytime Movers made it an absolute breeze for our 4/13/2018 move. First, they provided a quote faster than any other moving company I contacted and were in constant communication during the entire reservation process. Second, the moving team were incredibly accommodating and showed up exactly on time -- they were done early with a prior client and offered to show up before our time slot. We declined as we weren't done packing yet and there was no fuss. Third, they were sooooo fast and sooooo careful -- they finished 30 minutes early (which was unbelievable) and we had some open crates/some improperly packed boxes and NOTHING was damaged. Fourth, they were just great guys -- professional but extremely good spirited. This was my second time using A-Anytime Movers and I would definitely work with them again! I received a quick and thorough response to my online quote request with a clear pricing structure and explanation of add-on fees, etc. This time our team was Reece, Freddy, Jamie and Marcel, who were great. They showed up precisely on time and got our whole in-town move done in less than 2.5 hours start to finish. The team was efficient and clearly experienced in navigating all sorts of moving challenges like narrow turning stairways, having to disassemble and reassemble things to get it through a doorway, etc. They did a great job wrapping up and securing our items and communicated with us to ask where things should go at our new place. They even checked at the end that everything had ended up in the right place and were happy to swap some things around before they left! We also had some junk we'd been planning to leave behind at the old place and get hauled to the dump later, but they were able to take it along with our other items and then take it for disposal themselves for just an extra $75 fee. read more

Recently moved within D.C. to a different 2 bedroom apartment with A Anytime Movers. From start to finish the process was simple and easy to understand. The quote we received was accurate and detailed, given their straightforward instructions for estimating furniture, boxes, etc. We chose an afternoon move time slot on the weekend and confirmed our move about 3-4 weeks in advance. We were told that our crew would show up at 2pm at the earliest, but that they could be delayed due to the morning move time. That was okay with us given our flexible hours. However, our crew showed up right at 2pm and were total experts when it came to maneuvering a moving truck into an alleyway/driveway. We were so impressed with our movers - Les, Walter and Maurice - from beginning to end. Not only were they professional, on time and efficient, but they were incredibly polite and friendly. I moved for the first time back in December with the movers Jamil and Ren. I was kinda worried because I had two VERY LARGE, HEAVY items that I knew would have had to be dissembled and reassembled. After arriving and dissembling my bed and dresser, they carefully wrapped each and every piece of my delicate furniture for protection. Even after everything was broken down, the pieces were still HUGE and I began to start worrying about the 1 flight at my current location (at the time) , and the 1 flight at the new location. Keep in mind, the flight of stairs at my moving to location were a VERY last minute call, because the front door was not working properly. Without any hesitation at all, they climbed those narrow slippery steps located at the back of my building, and got the job done. I was only charged a small flat rate fee for the extra steps when I was handed my invoice. THANK YOU A-Anytime Movers for your affordability and your professionalism!!!! I had a great experience with Anytime. They worked with me to schedule a pickup time that worked, and they had no problem accommodating a second pickup location. Their prices were very reasonable compared to the other places I checked with (notably, they didn't charge a "truck fee," or for mileage to the first pickup spot). On moving day, they sent four men and a large truck, and arrived on time (actually, they were able to come 30 minutes early, which they did after calling to see if that would work for me). The men were efficient and pleasant, and rolled with the punches. There were a couple of cars parked illegally in front of our second pickup location, and the DC government was completely unwilling/unable to help (no big surprise there), but the Anytime guys managed to deftly position the very big moving truck in such a way as to allow them to load it without impeding traffic. I was very happy with the service I got, and would be happy to hire Anytime again for a future move. read more

I used Anytime Movers for both packing and moving from D.C. to Baltimore, and I wanted to thank Kevin and Denzel (my movers) and Zeke, Chano, and Freddy (my packers) for doing an outstanding job. The packing was efficient, nothing was damaged in transit, and it was easy to find everything when unpacking. The move also went off without a hitch -- Kevin and Denzel showed up right on time, loaded everything quickly and expertly, and brought everything into my new place with the ideal balance of speed and care. The move out of my old apartment was especially difficult because it was a basement apartment accessible only by a narrow staircase with two right angles to negotiate furniture around, but the team handled it like it was nothing. Also, the price was very reasonable and substantially lower than others I was quoted. I would absolutely use Anytime Movers again. Very professional and accommodating. I was able to leave messages with the answering service and via email to quickly reach Chris while discussing the move. He was extremely flexible as we had to change our move date twice due to loading dock availability. I was able to easily order boxes and moving materials by email and were received within one to two business days for reasonable prices. I was given a very reasonable flat rate for our move to PA that ended up taking almost 11 hours total with drive time - there were no hidden fees and travel, gas, and furniture wrapping were all included. The team was great and professional. Troy, Chico, and Antonio all did a fantastic job and treated our items with care. The move took longer than expected due to the apartment elevator but the team really worked hard and kept a jovial environment. This is the second time I have used A Anytime movers, and they were as responsive to my short-fused time request as the last time. I definitely appreciated their flexibility in working me in on a request to move some of my furniture from one floor in my house to the main floor and garage. Although it was a small job, Chris was able to accommodate my time limitation, and he sent two men out at the end of their workday. They were polite, efficient, and very professional. They made sure they were very careful moving a large desk within a narrow hallway, and very conscientious about not scratching the walls or doorframes. They took their job seriously, and did not rush through it, even though it was at the end of their already full workday. I will definitely continue to use A Anytime Movers in the future, based on their professionalism, and will wholeheartedly recommend them to friends who plan to move. Having moved a couple times in the last few years I can't say enough good about these guys. We were moving a one bedroom apartment across the city and the team was excellent. The responded to our quote request quickly and were straightforward with all their estimates. They showed up on time and got straight to work. We had boxed most of our things up ahead of time but they handled the random loose stuff easily and had the whole place in the truck in only a few hours. Heavy furniture and fragile art was no issue. They disassembled the bed efficiently and wrapped everything in plastic. Once they met us at our new place, the team had everything in the house quickly and had the bed back together fast. They even muscled an enormous, heavy dresser up a tight staircase with no damage to the walls. The team was incredibly nice and had the whole job done by mid-afternoon.
