Not only has A Auto Tech done great work on my husband's car at a reasonable price, they really helped me out so much when my car had flood damage. They helped me get a tow truck and allowed me to keep my car there over the weekend even though they were pretty full. The insurance company determined it was a total loss so they had to tow it without a auto tech doing any work on it but they were still kind enough to let me keep my car there without charging me and helping me move my things out of the car. I just got my car back earlier and it's looking good, thank you A Auto Tech! Only issue that I have is that I needed to fax over my registration, I did and called to confirm it was received; when I spoke to the service department (they answered the phone) they said it was received. A few days later I get a call from the body shop and my adjuster asking for my registration! I said I already sent it and confirmed it was received and they said they'd look for it. Fast forward just over a week and the adjuster said that he could not release my car without it, so while driving to pick my car up I had to pull over to the side to get it! Other than that the communication with the shop is pretty good, the repairs they made look great and I didn't expect a detail on my car before I got it so that made me real happy. The dent repair was flawless and the paint/stripping and even schedules the windshield replacement with a local AAA recommended service conducted the swap out all during the same repair period. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.......my wife's Mini was damaged late last year and it has been an ongoing disaster after taking it to A AUTO TECH. You can't make the below up. I have been in body shop Hades. Let's start with Part 1: The car was in the shop 49 days for the original repair. They felt the left aperture panel could be repaired and when they did not want to repair it after two or three weeks of the car sitting, they ordered a replacement part holding up the repair. Other parts were not ordered timely. When advised the car was completed, I went to pick up the car FOUR times and the outcome was sub par and I had to leave the car there for more attention each time. Over-spray, poor painting, missing plastic clips, body panel alignment, etc. MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAYS FOR 30 DAYS OF CAR RENTAL. I WAS OUT OF POCKET HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. No compassion on their part. They blamed Mini parts. When I went to pick up the car the first time the owner asked me if I knew of a good detail person to address the paint issues on my car. Initially I was speechless...I told him no, he explained he was down employees that clean up vehicles after bodywork ...amazing. So, after going back and forth 4 times and getting my insurance company involved to lever them, the car was finally picked up by me after addressing the slop. No compassion on their part. Part 2: The interior was damaged (see photo), as they placed all of the body parts inside of the vehicle during the repair. The owner steered me to a upholstery repair shop where the seat backs were repaired. I was again inconvenienced having to take the car back and forth to an upholstery shop, more UBERS. No compassion on their part. Part 3: I had not driven the car (my wife's) since the above, as it is a lingering bad memory and I now hate the car. Early last week I drove it for the first time after bringing it home. I noticed a clunking when the steering wheel is turned in either direction (my wife drives with the radio always on). I also saw that a replaced trim piece on the windshield pillar was sticking up. So I took it back last week to A AUTO TECH , they told me the steering rack and pinion was missing a tooth due to the accident and to bring it in and they could also fix the trim. They advised that the repair could be done in one day. I brought it in last Friday. Here we go again... At the end of Friday, I went to pick it up after calling and assured it would be completed. About 5:30 I was advised that the rack needed to be programmed and would not be completed until next Monday or Tuesday as they relied on a vendor to do this. THIS IS AFTER BEING TOLD IT WOULD BE DONE IN ONE DAY AND EVERYTHING WAS DONE IN HOUSE. The rack had to be programmed before, this is not new info. So, the car is completed on Tuesday and I pick it up. On the way home it I see a check engine light, never seen before. The next AM I take the Mini back and they clear the error for a emission valve (near the steering rack). On Wednesday I am driving home I realize the car has no maps or navigation functions. I call them back and they ask me to bring the car back in the AM next day. The next day before going there, I realize the above trim was not repaired.... So I again ask to have this addressed when they attempt to fix the above maps and navigation software. They fix the trim that was never fixed last week now ADVISE ME THAT THEY CANNOT FIX THE SOFTWARE AND TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER-MINI. I make mention of my ongoing inconvenience and get the response "isn't the car under warranty?". If you enjoy the above pain, bring your vehicle here. I wondered why they have the reviews they do. I surmise that because they offer a lifetime guarantee for the work performed, as long as the owner owns the car that most folks are not complaining. read more

I got hit by someone with Geico insurance and this shop is a partner, so I got to drop off my car and pick up a rental on the spot. It was already parked outside by the time I was ready to leave; the whole process was very efficient. The manager and two employees took the time to introduce themselves and were extremely polite and professional while working with me. Along with being hit, I had other damages which they quoted me for the same day. It was cheaper since I was already getting other work done, and the price ended up being $120 less than quoted. I drop my car in coral gables location and after 23 days they called me and asked me to pick up my car at west kendall location!!! Accident was not my fault and other insurance paid only for 12 days of rental because it did not take any longer than 12 days to repair my car! My deductible was only 500 but this people want to charge me 50 dollar more for one tire! Beside all these drama they changed parts of my cars. When I dropped my car they wrote a number on top of my car and when I pick up my car there was another number on a much older part on my car! If I have to visit a body shop, it means my car isn't looking it's best. Unfortunately that was the case with my new car a few weeks ago. A driver scratched my rear bumper as he made a right turn, and I in turn had to go get the car fixed. I got in a car accident on a Tuesday and the back of my bumper came off and a new one needed to be put on. The car accident was unfortunate, but I was lucky that it took place right down the street from A Auto. I had never heard of them before but the tow truck driver recommended them so I took the car there to get repaired. They did an amazing job with everything and it all went very smoothly. They worked with my insurance company and kept me updated on how the repair of the vehicle was going. Nothing took too long either, I never had to wait for an extended period of time when I was there. By Friday my car was already fixed so I was only without a car for 3 days. I was expecting it to take like a week or so. I was pleasantly surprised that they even washed my car, something that my dealership doesn't even do anymore and I feel is becoming rare when getting your car serviced. I came to this store for an estimate to fix my back bumper because a male colleague of mine recommended this body shop. My bumper would require sanding down and a paint job for damage I did when I backed into a low object. No bumper replacement needed. There estimate was over $650 dollars. I left stunned because my co-worker to replace his audi s5 bumper with paint was even less than that. I knew they ripped me off because i was a female and when i confronted them, the individual who provided me with the estimate was rude and very harsh. I went to another place and my estimate was $360. I will never return to this store and I recommend a woman does not go to have her car fixed here because she will pay double then what she would pay elsewhere. read more

They have a mostly well organized process. My feedback would be to improve communication a bit.... two areas: 1. when I got estimate the guy told me to drop off my vehicle the following Monday for work. I arrived and was told I needed an appointment. Ok. Inconvenient since I already secured alternative transport but not a big deal. They're really busy. 2. My estimate increased two times. First time I agree as they got a look underneath and found additional damage. That's usual and they told me that'd be likely. But second increase I was not given any explanation. One of the service managers gave me a ride to Enterprise rent a car when as there slogan goes "We'll pick you up" the fine print should read if we feel like it. Anyway, service manager to the rescue.
