I would stay away from this shop, unfortunately. They took our VW Beetle, charged $1500 for a repair that did not address the main problem in the car. They should have diagnosed the problem correctly, informed us, and we would have opted to not go ahead with the repairs. They love to upsell and are expensive. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my range rover sport in on February 9th for a coolant leak. They said I had to leave the car because it was not drivable and that the main part I needed was on back order. They guaranteed the part would be there in less than two weeks. When the two weeks were approaching, I called to confirm they were still on schedule, and they confirmed the part was already on the way. At two weeks I called because I hadn't heard from them and the guy (Jorge) that answered the phone said that it was not true the part was on the way and that they didn't know if and when they were going to receive the part. Finally, after three weeks and $2.6K, they claimed the car was ready to go. Considering the amount, I asked if I can see the "bad" parts but they wouldn't show me. As I am leaving the shop, Nicole tells me that it's not unusual for the customers to come back because there is a chance it will leak again. I guess she already knew they hadn't fixed the coolant leak like they said. As she implied, 10 days later (March 9th) the coolant light turned on as the car was still leaking coolant. Although they say they guarantee their work they really don't because they will tell you the reason for the coolant leak is completely unrelated to the coolant leak they "fixed" a week ago. To now fix the leak again, they charged another $246 to replace a hose they believe was causing the issue this time. On March 23rd, the coolant light turned on again for the third time. I called the shop and the guy (Jorge) that answered the phone said he wasn't sure what else they can do about it, yet they supposedly guarantee their work. At this point I was curious to see what they said but had no faith in them and was not willing to give them any more money as they have clearly demonstrated they don't know how to fix a coolant leak. Either way they didn't offer to fix it. Therefore, I took it to Auto Tech Pinecrest that day. They did a thorough check on the coolant leak and noted the coolant bypass hose was the cause of the leak and needed to be replaced. They confirmed this was the cause of the original leak and that the other parts that Green's replaced were not the issue. I was able to replace the hose for a minimal amount within 24 hours. I have driven the car for almost three weeks including a 500 mile trip and have had no other issues thus far. In addition, they had to drain out all the coolant because Green's put the wrong coolant for my car which I had told Nicole when I saw it on the prelim invoice but they used it anyways. I would not recommend Green's Garage given the fact they demonstrated they have no knowledge with Land Rover coolant leaks and defrauded me of almost $3,000. read more

Pretty frustrating. I came to this place because of the good reviews they had at the time. Pretty unsatisfied with how they have handled things with me. I had some work done on my vehicle, and when I picked it up they had put my car on the street in a metered parking zone. That on its own is not the kind of service I would hope to receive when entrusting my vehicle to a repair shop. On top of that - A ticket was left on my windshield since they did not pay to park my car on the street. I had to go back inside and ask them about it - they said they would handle it. Two months later I have a letter in the mail that the ticket was not paid for. Late fees had accrued and my license could been suspended. So now I am having to spend my time calling the repair shop, when it was supposed to have been taken care of. It took multiple phone calls before the issue was resolved. It was way too involved on my end for an issue that shouldn't have never been .. Pretty unsatisfied. Any upcoming vehicle maintenance or repairs will be handled elsewhere. read more

terrible service. i have a BMW, they claim to be specialists but don't seem to know how to do the most basic service. my car has been having trouble for months. I left it there for 2 weeks so they had time to look into the issues and fix it. they didn't start looking into the issues until the day before I had to pick it up and then they didn't find anything wrong with my car Or fix anything. the issues persisted. I got notice for a vehicle check and oil change, I brought it in left it for 2 days and they didn't reset the car when they finished, like they're supposed to, so the lights indicating oil and vehicle check were still on. I had to bring it back 2 days later after which they kept me waiting for an hour to resolve NOTHING. Paid them $200 to waste my time. read more

Took my car here after my initial shop wasn't able to complete my ABS wheel speed sensor replacement. At green's garage it's a little over $80 for a comprehensive inspection to get a sure idea of what's wrong. After the inspection, I was quoted $692 for the whole repair. I was tired of seeing the dashboard lights appearing so I bit the bullet. However, after doing my research I can't help but feel that the prices are not very reasonable. In my itemized invoice, I was quoted $190 for the two sensors from the dealership. I went on the dealership's site and saw that the parts were going for $60 each - $50 total difference than what I paid. As for labor, I was charged around $350. When factoring in the parts and inspection leaving it to a total of almost $700. I researched online and I probably could've saved a good bit going elsewhere as the replacement isn't reportedly difficult, but I can speak to the quality of the work. They did a fine job, but you may be able to shop around for a more honest price if you do your research. read more

Used to be a great place, not so much anymore. Overpriced and subpar work. 1. approved a overpriced brake job, now the dash board brake light is on. Brakes smoked and smelled like burning pads. New rotors are now scored. 2. went in for a radiator, they tried to insist on a pressure test. Didnt need a test, fluid was pouring from the radiator. 3. somehow the water pump went bad. Wasnt bad when I dropped off. Biggest problem is they didnt stand behind their work. Brake job was done incorrectly. Taking truck somewhere else to repair their faulty work. read more

I went online and made an appointment at Green's Garage due to their reviews and proximity to me, and I was glad I did! Everyone from the person who checked me in to the other staff on-site was friendly and welcoming. They were quick to get me in to check out the problem, only to see it was a loose fuel cap and they didn't even make me wait long or charge me any excessive diagnostic or additional fees. Green's is great. Car Issue & work: My car suddenly wouldn't start on a Sunday while running errands. Geico had my car towed to Greens on Monday at 4:30PM - the car was inspected Tuesday morning and was fixed that afternoon. My car is working now, but I can't speak to the actual work done bc that is not my expertise. Inspections: Their inspection included a link to pictures, recommendations, cost of labor, cost of parts, part descriptions and brand, and a list of inspection points that were noted to be in working condition. Truly the best and fastest inspection report I've received. Absolutely love their use of technology. Inspections are in the range of $165, but this is included in the price of repairs if you do have your car repaired with them. This is not the place for an inspection if you're "shopping around" for repair recommendations for a bigger job. Staff & communication: Communication was on point. Had a 100% seamless experience. Their staff is friendly, responsive and competent. Pricing of work: My pricing was definitely slightly higher than the average range for an independently owned mechanic in Miami, but still lower than if I took my vehicle to the dealership. It also seems they're using their funds effectively - (1) to hire enough great staff to keep their operations very fast and smooth & (2) investing in useful technology that shops *rarely* offer - so in short, this is a place where you're getting what you pay for. I hope they're also investing in hiring the best mechanics, but I can't tell from my experience. After Hours Drop Off: For anyone wondering if Green's accepts after hour vehicle drop offs - they do. They confirmed that cars can be left at their lot and you leave your key in their drop box 24/7. This includes cars dropped from a tow service. My only piece of feedback would be to note the after hours drop-off ability on the website. Unreliable and untrustworthy: I was harassed and verbally assaulted: Shocking conduct. When I came to pick up my car I didn't say a word just tried to pay and get out of there. Instead, Omar accosted me, verbally attacked and abused me. I asked David, the attendant for help to be protected from the onslaught of harassment. Even David was shocked by this abusive conduct and verbally assured me several times that Omar's behavior was unacceptable. I had to stand there being subjected to abuse and harassment until i finally got my keys and was able to leave this nasty scene. 1. Omar persuaded me to change an expensive part in my car even though it appears I did not need it. He said he's show me a fotos but never did. 2. He promised me that if I bring the car in by 8: 30 am I have the car ready at the end of the day. 3.It was not ready 4. Omar said he'd call me in an hour and a half to give me an update. The update and the call never happened causing me hours of sitting and waiting and wasting my time. 5. I called Omar the next day and he said he would have the car within an hour and would call me. the call never came and my car is still not ready. 6. I have zero trust left in anything they say (aka their lies). I no longer belief I needed that part or that he properly installed the new one (that I didn't need in the first place) It is infuriating to have been used and have paid around $ 1200 for a service I did not need and a two day aggravation horror ride that still is not over as i still am waiting for my car. 7. as to Blake's response: 1. False Info! Another garage had fixed a small hose were the leak came from. I was going to have that fixed again but the other garage was busy that day. That is when I unfortunately came to Green's where I was assured they could fix my car right away. the fact that Blake, the owner defends this shocking behavior of Omar speaks volumes! I came to fix my car, instead I was abused, attacked, accosted and viciously harassed. LADIES: please stay away from this 'establishment'! 8. False Again: I put down my credit card on the desk without a word and stepped back several feet bc Omar looked like he was about to physically attack me. I saw David on the other register and walked over to him. That is when Omar charged after me, accosted me, repeatedly verbally assaulted me and harassed me. I tried to get away from the abuse but had to stay in order to get my car. It felt as if I had been violated. 9. The entire time Omar screamed at me "Go CALL THE POLICE!" even though I only spoke to David who was aghast and repeatedly assured me that Omar was completely unacceptable. Omar kept yelling at me "Go CALL the POLICE!" Perhaps in previous altercations that he caused other victims did call the police knowing his violent temperament. In retrospect , I should indeed have called the police and have him arrested for publicly harassing and verbally assaulting me. But all I wanted is to get out of there and out of the reach of the abuser! P.S: An admin called me after the incident, trying to make good for what Omar did, assuring me trying to make up for the nasty experience. Instead, in a 180 I come home to see that the owner defended this unacceptable and shocking conduct on behalf of Green's Garage. Behavior that both David and the admin lady had profusely apologized for. Apparently what eye witnesses saw and told me was unacceptable is 'acceptable' to the owner. read more

I took my car to get my tires changed from a different mechanic and they replaced every tires except for one, so out of necessity I brought my car over to green garage to replace my final tire. My mechanic, Joseph , helped me out with my situation and explained to me what he did and why he did it. He answered all of my questions about my car, and was incredibly sweet. Greens garage had my car 16 days to resolve an oil leak. I was charged $1700. Before I picked up the car I was assured by Cindy, over the phone, that they had quality controlled the car and put cardboard under it to make sure there were no oil leaks. That was an absolute lie. Honestly, I don't think they did any work on it at all. Besides that, cats trampled all over my car and left fur on the convertible top car was a real mess when I got it back. I demanded that it be clean, which was the only thing positive about the experience. That was on the outside. Little did I know the inside was a mess too. Car stunk from oil. You would think for that kind of money they would've cleaned up the undercarriage. Again, I don't believe they did any work on my car. I will be disputing this charge. read more

I just moved to the area and didn't know where to take my car for a repair. I had an annoying squeak which turned out to be a control arm issue. Since I didn't know where to take it, I relied on Yelp reviews to find this shop. They were very responsive and were able to get my car in quickly. It took a few hours for the team to diagnose the issue. But the cost the diagnoses was waived since I decided to get the repair done at the shop. They had to speciality order the part from Ford, so they weren't able to get the part in until the following week. They told me it would take around 2 hours to get the repair done. When I went back in to get the repair, I waited there 7 hours... The staff was very friendly during that time and they recognized I had been waiting longer than I should. They cut back the price a small amount for having me wait and also for welcoming me to the area (which was nice!) However, when I finally drove off, I noticed a funny noise coming from the back end of my car. I took it back to the shop and the mechanic drove it around. It turns out a technician didn't screw on a part correctly )or something along those lines). This was confusing to me because before handing back the keys, I was informed a staff member drove around my car to make sure it was running properly. Thankfully it was a quick fix and I was able to drive off shortly after. Overall, I thought the shop valued and cared for their customers. I think my experience was a fluke. I'd still recommend this shop, but make sure to listen to your car before driving off. read more

Outrageous prices! Charged $194.04 for diagnostic. Then on top of that wanted twice as much than the mechanic I ended taking it to. The old owner Junior was a good guy, but these new people are crazy expensive. After receiving reply from Greens Garage I want to add that the amount I agreed to for diagnostic was $168.69. Later found out tax would be added and an additional bogus "shop fee" of $12 more. All other places will deduct diagnostic fees from final repair bill. But, since I didn't clarify this before they wanted repair fee on top of diagnostic fee. This expensive diagnostic fee is outrageous as was the repair estimate. I respect that people need to make a living but not highway robbery. Tell the owner Jr, hope he is enjoying his semi-retirement on his yacht. read more

I give Green's 3 stars which, per Yelp's 5 star scale means "A-OK". This garage is very good about fitting customers in on an urgent basis when their vehicle is acting up and needs to be diagnosed and serviced quickly. They're also good with communication, letting customers know what problem(s) they found, options for fixing it and giving a quote over the phone. That said, from the street this place looks like a neighborhood mechanic where one can usually have work done much cheaper vs. going to a dealership, but in my experience that's not necessarily the case (other reviewers have also commented about high prices here). This garage charges a fairly hefty evaluation fee to examine and diagnose, they charge a good amount more for parts than they'd cost at a store like Auto Zone (and I'm guessing Greens isn't paying retail store prices for the parts they buy) and in one case they said they only get parts deliveries from their supplier at certain times of the day and if they couldn't get the one required for my repair by that afternoon, I may need to wait a few days to get the vehicle back. They ended up pulling it off so my car was fixed that same afternoon, but I was a bit surprised they couldn't just send an employee to the auto parts store when needed to buy the items required for the repair. read more

Business Manager Blake T posted several inaccurate statements in response to my review. A full diagnostic test was not performed. Photos were never taken. The insurance would definitely pay for the removal as part of the diagnostic work when the repair was made if the diagnosis proved correct. i only wished to inspect the vehicle myself because they refused to take pictures documenting the work which is an insurance company requirement. If a garage actually performs the work they say, they have no issue in providing documentation. I was actually told they removed my valves and found the issue and put the engine back together all in a few minutes. They became very upset when i told them this is physically impossible. An honest mechanic! My husbands car wouldn't start... thought it might be electrical... might be transmission... might be computer...took it to greens for diagnostic evaluation. They gave us a rundown on the test and were willing to do more testing but believed that the problem was "fixed" just by tightening the connectors on the battery. Great service! I have been going there for AC repair, replacing starter motor, oil change and more. They are good at explaining ( sometimes with pictures of your car if possible) what is going on with the car and what needs fixing. For my state ( where my car is registered), I need to do a car inspection but I didn't realized car inspection are not a thing in Miami, and even if I do it here in Miami, there is no way to get my state to see that and have it approved. the workers were nice to explain to me and direct me to better options instead of just taking the money, doing the inspection and then I get in trouble later on (which some other places might have done).
