The folks here are friendly and helpful. Setting up the appointment was no problem at all. They were able to work around our schedule. My fluffy boy was treated to a full makeover treatment, and he came back to us not only with a smile, but better than he's ever looked. I highly recommend these people to care for your fur babies. Very impressed. Thanks so much for making Gideon/Giddy look amazing-guh!!!!

Haven't been to this place in a bit but took my dog back yesterday. He came home with a wound on his side. I called to ask for an explanation, they told me it was a hot spot that was there already. I told them that couldn't be a hot spot as it was in a place he can't reach. They said something about internal hot spot. Took him to the vet just now, it's definitely NOT a hot spot. He's on pain meds and a topical cream now.

Right before the pandemic I took my Gordon setter here. I asked for a setter cut and decoating the under coat. We specifically told the intake guy we do not want the dog shaved. The groomer decided to shave my dog so he looked more like a Rottweiler. My dogs coat is ruined. He will never have his beautiful coat again. His under coat grows uncontrollably and constantly mating we used to be able to just brush it out. They also gave him razor burn on his paw.

Horrible! Took my Pomeranian in for grooming. Long hair/undercoat and mats. I do pay for this service. They called me stating "I" can take my dog home & brush and bring back for grooming? Isn't this what groomers are paid to do? They stated they could shave. I strongly stated not to shave to low as undercoat would take up to 2yrs to grow back. When picked up, he was shaved to the skin and red shaver burns across shoulders. I was pissed! Blonde with long nails says oh well that's $80! Wth! Had to get medicine for his shaver burns! Sooo pissed! Do not use!

He didn't have this mark before we took him in !! That's a cut from the groomers !!

When we walked inside to check on him after 3 hours they said "oh we'll start him now" why even drop him off at 11 if you won't even start him at that time !!! When we picked him up he had a cut on His neck that they didn't want to acknowledge which they caused.. then try to say it was a rope burn that he got from tugging on his leash .. super unprofessional when I called back to get the groomers name .. the receptionist hung up on me !! DO NOT TAKE TOIR PET HERE !!!! The groomers name is Jess.. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF HERE !! Oh yeah We paid for a de shedding and he's shedding even worse !! Waste of our time and money ..

If I can give this store a no Star review I would but I can't. I'm furious this place was irresponsible and horrible customer service. Right off the bat one of the employees gave me came off unfriendly and like I was the problem and then when I came to pick up my dog they gave me the wrong DOG! I took my 8 year old German Shepherd to A Bath N Biscuit Grooming & Pet Spa to get his undercoat thinned before the hot summer. He had never been to a groomer before, so I was a little nervous because he's a big (124 lbs) guy and wasn't sure how he'd react. They even called me to ask about his eyes (he has dry eye & I forgot to tell them that his eyes get goopy). He was done in about 2 hours, and the lady who groomed him was really nice and said he did really well - no issues! He looks and smells wonderful! I'm sure he'll have some relief with all that excess hair gone! They also cut his toenails, which was a plus for me because I'm always afraid to do it. I highly recommend this business!

Took our dog to get a blow out at 10 didn't get a call to get her until 4. When we got home her home we noticed her eye was red. Never again .

Omg! What can I say? Catrina and her staff are magicians. Her dog show grooms are spectacular even for a 10-year old veteran with spay coat. Everytime I look at my dogs with their beautiful grooms I giggle. They are so cute!! You don't have to worry about your dear pets in their care. Every dog is treated with love and respect. We drive down from Lodi because it's worth it!! Reasonably priced, excellent service, they will make you dog look like Best in Show!! read more

I took in FOUR LITTLE DOGS for nail trimming. They did such an AMAZING job! My dogs are rescues with severe abuse histories, and BnB handled my pups PERFECTLY! I already have my calendar marked for their next trimming! Best place EVER!!! read more

Have been loyal to B&B for years!! I have 3 small dogs. Had an appointment 2 days ago at 8am. Put my dogs in the car which they hate. Drove down there to a closed shop. Waited 10 min with my very impatient dogs. Called and left a message. Had to leave to get my dogs back home and to my scheduled appt! 2 days later and nothing. No phone call with an excuse or an apology! Such a terrible way to run a business. Especially with 3 repeat loyal customers! Never giving them my business again! read more

DO NOT take your PET to this PET Groomer; not only one time VERY Detrimental to My DOG but twice!! Took her for her grooming on 4/4/24 and ended up having to get her to My Vet to HELP HER hEAL from the injury she incurred while being groomed most certainly while in there care! She was cut in the Skin around her private area in not just one but SEVERAL PLACES!! She needed a number of treatments from pain Med to ointment for antibiotics and ointment for the cuts!! Painful to her and costly to me!! unimaginable that a Groomer who purports to be a DOG SHOW groomer would do this!! NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE Or you might be dealing with an Injured PET!! I do not believe the groomer that was suppose to groom my girl was there. I made this appointment weeks ago specifically with whom I wanted. she wasn't there on my arrival nor on pick up. I'm not even sure my dog was bathed certainly does not smell like has been. her haircut was not well done and uneven. paid way too much for what my girl looks like and to be lied to about my groomer. very dissatisfied. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's close & on the surface they did a very good job. The only problem was my dog came back with a half inch cut under her chin, accidents happen & I would've understood but I was turned off that no one mentioned it ever & she didn't get a haircut so not quite sure how it could've happened read more

I brought Lulu back after Lulu's 1st experience was great and definitely not disappointed especially since I was able to get her scheduled the very next day and she was in desperate need it immediate grooming after she had puffed out beyond my grooming capabilities and after cats brought fleas into fur pack, she was full of topical flea med on her fur since couldn't get Bravecto fast enough. The tall guy, sorry didn't ask his name. groomed her and done in 3 hours plus teeth brushed and super clean shaved tummy and under "tail" area as I asked. He was patient with all my questions and was working on a beautiful black and white Springer Spaniel that was obviously happy , in no distress as if thirsty or fidgeting needing to go potty and I'm mentioning because I saw the recent post that was a complaint. I have not observed Lulu getting groomed but twice now she is absolutely silky beautiful and happy so I'm happy and all, including teeth $55 plus 7.00 tip $62.00 which makes me even happier!! read more

We have taken our cavapoo Jax all over modesto to get Groomed and every place takes a razor and butchers Him regardless of our instructions. Made an appt 2 & 1/2 weeks out. Drove from Manteca to Modesto with my 2 dogs to be told that they could not find me on the schedule. The woman that talked to me seemed very nonchalant and just said sorry, we can rebook for for 2 weeks out...very, very frustrated and will definitely not be going back here. read more

Just took my dog here for the first time and when I got her back I was so happy! She looked so excited and so clean and smells delicious. I loved how they trimmed her paws( I'll leave a pic below!) and they trimmed her just how I asked. I've never seen her so clean and fresh lol. The workers were also very nice and helpful and assured me she would be ok when I left her there. Definitely will be returning soon! read more

3 reasons for a one star. I called two weeks ago to make an appointment for my 6 month old puppy for Thursday the 21st. I got there and they told me they don't have me on the schedule. I spoke to a Make over the phone who I thought scheduled it but They were able to accommodate a haircut for my dog. I told them the exact cut I wanted and when I went to pick her up she did not have the exact trimmings. Her hair was also extremely choppy all over especially behind her head. I asked if they could fix it, I told them to just feather cut it. GIGI who cut my dogs hair , took her back and YANKED my dogs ear and my dog yelped in pain. I was furious!!! I asked her WHAT ARE YOU DOING! She said I have to hold her to fix it then she YANKS on my dogs hair by her mouth! I'm in absolute shock!!!! I said give me my dog now and I left! Don't ever touch my dog like that! my dog has not been herself since yesterday! I can't even imagine how else she was being treated without my presence! read more

I took my dog to Bath N Biscuit on July 1, 2020 to be groomed. They cut two of my dogs toe nails on her left foot down to the quick! My poor dog! They also had her there for 4 1/2 hours and wouldn't let us pick her up until closing time. My poor 13 year old dog was limping, so we checked her foot today and noticed that she has two toe nails sticking out in the middle and the other two are cut to the quick. I can't even imagine what my poor dog had to go through while there! If you look closely, the hair on her left foot is very short over her nails and the right foot is long. Beware taking your dogs there! read more

I took my dog in today and everything was fine until we got home and i noticed he was licking his paw and was limping i checked his paw to see what was wrong to see that he had been cut. We've taken our English Bulldog to 3 different places for grooming and this is by far the best place! He sheds like crazy and no previous place have they been able to fully remove the excess fur...until now! They did an awesome job with Bentley! read more

I took Woody in for a second time and they did a great job BUT he got fleas from this past visit. He has been super itchy since that day and won't stop scratching/biting himself. This has never happened with other groomers in the past. I will not be taking him here again, and I would not recommend them. read more

We were loyal customers for years then moved out of town but we brought our terriers down for a trim and they butchered them totally shaved in November uneven hair after we told them how to trim them they did it there way and it looks like shit very upset and we called and they said we don't care about your dogs so if you care about your dog and care what they look like don't go to these assholes! worst service/customer service read more

They do a great job grooming your dog if you don't mind your dog being there 4 to 5 hours, maybe more. My fur baby did not like that at all. I requested they not have her so long time after time. They always said OK, but never got her out any sooner. read more

I am a loyal customer to business that provide quality customer service and I like to keep my dog Riley with the same ppl. After almost five years with the same groomer she sadly had to close her business. I called everywhere looking for someone and was told over and over not accepting new clients or small dogs only. I finally started looking Modesto out of desperation because i don't like using the large corporations. This is my second visit and I have found my new place for sure!!! Tony did an AMAZING job on Riley. His hair is long and he sheds like crazy but he looks beautiful! I am very disappointed by the way my appointment was handled. I called two weeks ago to make an appointment for my pregnant Pomeranian to have a pregnancy belly shave and grooming prior to her delivery. I expressed to them that she was due on October 5. They told me the first available appointment was on September 28 - I said oh my gosh are you sure you don't have anything sooner because that will be a week away from her delivery. The gentleman on the phone assured me that everything would be fine, that they would handle her with care and we should have no problems on the 28th. SO I booked the appointment. Today at 9 AM, her appointment time, I went to drop her off for her grooming and they refused to take her. They told me it would be unsafe and stress her out because she was pregnant and that they wouldn't groom her. I'm absolutely livid because at the time I made the appointment I expressed to them that she would be pregnant which is why I wanted her belly shaved, and they assured me at that time it would be fine. If they didn't want to do it, all they had to do was say so and I could have made arrangements for her Somewhere else. Now I have to do a mad dash and try to find someone to shave her belly for me at a moments notice. Extremely disappointed. This is not the first time she has been to their establishment, I am not a new client so it seems like they could've just told me from the beginning that they didn't want to take her and problem would've been solved. read more

i have been taking my poodle Val here for over a year at first i really liked it and i loved how they cut her but the last two times i had appointments at 11:30 AM and she was not done both times not til after closing (6:00) i was pissed because that meant that they stuck in a kennel for hours waiting for someone to finally groom her. what is the point in having an appointment if you're not even going to get to her til 3 or 4 o'clock if you're falling behind or low staff they should have made that clear to me it was going to take some time, that is VERY unprofessional ! also the hair cut was done super rushed (im assuming because the groomer just wanted to go home at this point so she did a half assed job) and her face was NOT cut correctly which bothers me the most because my dog has a beautiful face and she looks goofy as hell now. read more

Took my cocker there today and the groomer inadvertently forgot to tell me that he cut my dogs ears with his shears. I noticed it when I got home. I should of been told when I was paying for the cut! I'm not a happy camper right now! read more

Our groomers are very experienced in All Breed grooming and are well educated on breed standards. A few of the breeds we specialize in include Setters, Retrievers, Spaniels,Yorkies, Poodles, Bichon's, Maltese, Huskies, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Cavalier King Charles, German Shepherd's.... Our love & care for animals started at a very young age through 4-H and Dog Shows. Our groomers/owners are also Professional Dog handlers who show and groom multiple breeds on select weekends.

Established in 2015.

We opened our doors on May 14, 2015 and have been amazed by the strong response we've received in just a few short months. If you are looking to meet the owners, you will find two of the partners, Catrina and Korbel, up front grooming. You might find Tony, the third partner, answering phones, bathing, meeting and greeting or doing whatever else needs to be done. And don't let their youthful looks fool you. These three are not new to the dog grooming scene and have proven themselves to be extremely versatile dog show handlers and groomers. You may recognize the familiar faces of Catrina and Korbel from a couple of other local grooming shops. Why do we do what we do? Because we love and pets and what we do and we want every furry four legged family member looking and feeling it's best. We would love for you to stop by and give us a try!

Meet the Business Owner: Catrina and Tony C. and Korbel M.

Catrina has lived and groomed in the Modesto area for about 10 years. She has been showing, training, and grooming dogs nearly all of her life. Catrina is a very successful "all-breed" professional handler with long term clients who have become family. Catrina believes that all dogs deserve to look gorgeous -- not just show dogs. It is important that each dog who comes in to A Bath 'N' Biscuit has a great experience and leaves feeling a little (or a lot) sassier than when they came in. Catrina specializes in "all breed" grooming, hand scissoring, show and pet grooming. Korbel has been loving and caring for animals his entire life and has been involved in dog shows since he was a child. As Korbel got older, he worked for several different professional dog show handlers where he learned how to groom and show dogs. Korbel specializes in several breeds such as; poodles, most terriers, hearding breeds, spaniels and setters, He also specializes in hand scissoring and hand stripping.

When my family dropped her off, they were told she could not leave her blanket or toy with her. However, the website clearly states that dogs are allowed to bring a blanket and a toy from home to help them feel comfortable. That is exactly why we brought those items, so this was confusing right from the start. The following day I called to check in and was told she was doing fine--eating, drinking, and adjusting well. I called again and was told the same thing. I asked if they could send me pictures of her, and when I received them I noticed a cut on the bottom of her chest. If I had not asked for photos, I don't believe I would have been notified about the injury at all. My dog has never cut herself before, so naturally as a dog parent you start worrying and thinking the worst. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at home, so it is normally her safe place. When I asked about the cut, they repeatedly told me they checked the kennels to make sure it was safe and suggested it could have been from a handler's collar getting stuck in her hair. However, my dog has very thin hair and the cut is nowhere near where a collar would normally sit, which made that explanation hard to believe. Another major concern was that their website advertises "all day play," yet in every picture they sent she was on a collar and leash. I was also told that they do not allow dogs to play with other dogs due to safety concerns, which directly contradicts what is advertised. Additionally, in the photos my dog looked very sad and withdrawn, when normally she is very happy and loves to play. This made me concerned that she may have been kept in a kennel and on a leash for most of the time she was there. Because of this, I immediately called family to pick up my dog early. The entire situation made me very uncomfortable and I did not feel confident leaving her there for the remainder of the stay. I chose this place because of the positive Google reviews, but after this experience I truly wish I had paid closer attention to the Yelp reviews as well. I will not be leaving my dog here again.

She was there during a hot streak and when I picked her up she was bloated to twice her size and they said she had just begun to act odd 20 minutes before pick up. I rushed her to Standiford Vet and they performed emergency surgery for GDV (stomach bloat). They said this happens when dogs are walked in extreme heat and are then fed food or given water. The dog will gulp water and also air which causes their stomach to inflate. This will affect their organs, mostly the heart. I spent $5k on this emergency surgery and my dog didn't make it. I'm not placing blame nor did I seek for any damages but I would have expected a boarding place to be better educated on how to prevent GDV or at least recognize the signs to call me to come get her to take her to the ER. I am sharing this so that everyone makes their own decision about boarding their dog here.

First off let me say when I called to make in appointment the woman who answered was very nice and got me in sooner than expected, which was very nice. Smelled great and was clean. Huge plus is everything is done out in the open...they do not kennel dogs in the back. I was really nervous about leaving my baby with someone i didn't know so i even called to check on her about an hour later to check on her. They were super nice about it and said she was doing great lol They did take a little longer then I am use to BUT I appreciated them taking more time. Bella has never liked the clippers by her face so the gentlemen that talked to me when i picked her up said he used a thinning shear and she did great with that. I had a really good friend that had worked here for a few months the owner or manager whatever they are abuses the animals will kick and punch your dog shove them into the bath and scream into their ears and faces and all around not take care of your pet many peoples dogs go through hell at this groomers they watch the traumatized dogs sit in the corner and cower as they continue to yell at the them out of fear most of the employees won't speak up and not all employees are to blame but the owner is extremely corrupt. read more

Typically, I show pictures to show the type of haircut I want with her (I am fairly particular with her cut) but with very little guidance on the haircut that I want, they exceeded my expectations!
