Acupuncture doctor was a joke. She had no idea what she was doing. Did not make sure my dogs did not move and only checked back in on the dogs once. Showed her that all the needles have fallen out but 1 and she said she would be back in 15 minutes. Only the tech came back and then the doctor. All her needles fell Off of our dogs and she said they fell off because they did their job. She never even made contact with my dogs nerves or muscles. Did not clean area and said she would do a 20 minute massage on the dogs. She petted my dogs and did not even observe my dogs after what even she was suppose to have done. I do acupuncture for myself and that is not how acupuncture works. I feel they stole money from us and said they would reimburse us and never did They never even reviewed my dogs x-rays. Their service was horrible. My dogs need the help Fir back and for back and front legs and $150 later and 1 hour of "us" picking up the needles off the floor in fear our dogs would Step on them and the room was fetchy. I had like husky hair all Over me. Room was fetchy. I can't say how bad this so called service was. Well never go back please be careful if you go. Our animals are everything to us and their health- no owner of a pet would pay or put our animals through this if we did not want them better. The $40 massage was nothing more then rubbing their head like most your veterinary do anyway for a minute or so. The Vets here are really excellent. We took our dog to a Vet in Turlock three times trying to get him treated for the same problem. After over $700 in bills and 7 months of unsuccessful treatments, we took him to Village Oak. He was diagnosed on the first visit, treated, and cured. Predmore, Etchebarne, Lacy, & Caron-Brummel. Horrible Unsanitary, Filthy experience and incredibly insensitive, ice-cold customer service! We brought our kitty this morning to do some tests and when Ayla checked the temperature, she did not use the protection cover for it. After a very quick wipe of the thermometer (not more than 1 second) she placed in back into the holder with liquid in it. When we asked about their sanitary practice for these multi-use thermometers, she stated that they change the alcohol daily in the holder where the thermometer is kept. When she stepped out of the room, we took out the thermometer and checked the liquid that is was soaking in: it had a lot of cloudy globs. It was Awful!!! (see pictures) It did not look like disinfecting alcohol, but bacterial and fungal soup. It reminded me of a cup of tea that was sitting for weeks and was covered with bacteria/fungal growth. Does cloudy muck grow in alcohol? Or perhaps the alcohol has evaporated long time ago from this open container, and the liquid just serves as a medium for Fungal and Bacterial growth? We asked for the manager and after a long wait Sue Enz came into the room. She said that she is part-owner of Village Oak as well. She stated that she just checked in the other rooms and that the alcohol disinfectant was clean, and that this room was perhaps "overlooked". She did not say that she was sorry about our experience. At checkout we asked for perhaps a discount for this terrible experience. The lady at the desk went and asked Sue. Sue said NO. We paid the full price and wanted to speak with Sue again to let her know about our huge disappointment. We told her that she did not even apologize to us for using a thermometer dipped in FILTH SOUP to check our Kitty's temperature. She still did not say sorry. She stated that it does not pose a health risk to our cat!!! She stated that diseases are spread by fecal-oral route. But what do cats do after a filthy thermometer is placed into their anus? Yes, they will clean their privates with their tongue, licking all the "stuff" that was just deposited on them from that filthy thermometer. (check photos to see what is deposited on your pet). So yes, we believe it DOES pose a HUGE health risk and CAN transmit diseases, bacteria, fungus. We stated that we have been bringing multiple cats to this clinic and paid a lot of money for their services. At least a 10% discount would show that she cares. We did not need that discount, we wanted to see that she cares for the well-being of Kitty. But again, after the second talk with her, we did not hear an apology, or that she even cares about us as clients or our Kitty. INSTEAD, she suggested that she can forward our treatment records to another Vet Clinic!!!! That was very rude!!! In the very end, instead of telling us "I'm sorry about this, have a nice day" or something to that effect, she asked if we still want them to run blood tests for which they poked our Kitty 4 times for and for what we had paid for. Elementary customer satisfaction (just saying I'm sorry, our bad) seems to NOT be on their list of priorities. If you love your furry children, this is the best place to take them. I have been taking my beloved pets here since this office opened and they have never failed to give my furry family members less than excellent care. They are exemplary in every way and constantly amaze me by their willingness to go above and beyond for each and every patient. They have known several of my pets from kitten purrs and puppy barks until their very last breath. Most of them living to nearly 19 years. We recently started bringing our pup here and they gave me the best customer service today! I had to bring my kids with me today (they're 1.5 & 3.5) and between trying to keep them from burning the place down & keeping our puppy calm, you could say I was struggling. The girl asked me if I wanted to wait in my car during the appointment (which lets be honest was mutually beneficial). A few minutes later Dr. Fitzpatrick came out to my car to explain her treatment plan and then they brought her out to me. And after I drove away completely forgetting to pay and pick up her medication ‍ they gladly took my payment over the phone & had her stuff waiting for my husband to pick up. Thank you for such an affordable and sensitive euthanasia experience. We had the old girl her entire life and when her joints got so bad she could barely walk, we had to admit it was her time. I called her lifelong vet, and was astonished at what they charged for euthanasia. I called about a dozen vets in town and Village Oak was the only one that offered a reasonable price for an in the room with her euthanasia. $170. The building and the office are beautiful! The staff were so compassionate. You'll have plenty of opportunities to say goodbye. Appointment and medical records required. read more

Village Oak also offers grooming services and can/will administer any shots your pet needs at the time of grooming to save you a trip! All the veterinarians are outstanding in their knowledge, treatment, and care of pets and each pet's parent. All surgical procedures have been explained thoroughly in advance and in layman's terms. I have never felt rushed during any of my visits these past 15 years! Dr. Fitzpatrick is the primary vet of my Bichon, Shitzu, and Cocker Spaniel, but when he is not available, I have been pleased with each of the other doctors on staff. We stumbled across Village Oak after extensive research into finding a new cardiologist after our normal clinic closed. Our cat has a heart murmur and requires a check up twice a year. The prices locally were outrageous and unaffordable especially to a college student/animal lover with multiple fur babies. Village Oak was the most affordable, reasonable and highly rated vet we found. Even though we live an hour and a half away we decided the make the trek and it was honestly one of the best decisions ever. From making the appointment to walking in I was impressed by the kindness and flexibility of staff. The ambience alone of the place is welcoming, they have lots of cushioned benches to wait at, cool pet decor, and even special scented blankets to cover cat carriers with to soothe them and make them more comfortable from dreaded vet visits. Dr. MacKie and Nicole (Cardio vet tech?) have been absolute angels, they are super efficient and incredibly helpful in navigating a pet with heart issues. For cardiologist appts, you're supposed to drop off your baby and then pick them up later. Originally I think this takes a few hours, depending on the queue of pets that need to be seen. Nicole remembered from our first visit that we aren't local and made sure our kitty was one of the first ones to be examined so we wouldn't have to wait so long. Just one of the many examples of the above and beyond service here. In itself, dealing with a pet with a heart condition is super challenging, since there are a lot of medications and unknowns. Our fur baby is the worst (and best) combination of being incredibly smart, timid and stubborn and is picky with medicine. So administering medicine can be rather difficult. Nicole made us feel at ease as she reassured us that the diagnosis wasn't an immediate countdown on our baby, and overall was doing everything she could to make sure we had all we needed to get and successfully administer the medicine. She reiterated that anything we needed could get shipped to our house, and was overall a phenomenal support and help. I am forever grateful! read more

I have used this vet for my little Mandi's entire life, and always have trusted them. Mainly she's seen Dr. Fitzpatrick & Dr. Nguyen, but this weekend we saw Dr. Bove. Mandi was diagnosed with kidney disease in August, and I knew our time was limited. I had another dog in the past diagnosed with the same, and she managed to fight it for quite a while. Not so this time. It progressed much faster. I took my sweet girl in to be checked, since it was very obvious she was doing very poorly. I appreciated that they worked me in on a busy Saturday, and that despite approaching closing time, I was never rushed. In my heart, I knew her kidneys were shutting down, but hoped for a Christmas Miracle I guess, hoping she'd come home with me. I spent the morning with her, tried doing things she used to enjoy, but she had no interest, and could barely stand. The blood results came back, and my suspicions were right. I was so very grateful that Dr. Bove took her time with us, explained things, and after allowing me to make my decision, told me that she didn't think it was the wrong one. That put me so at ease. The entire process was kind, gentle and comforting. All of which were needed when making the hardest decision of my life, and Mandi was treated with as much kindness and respect as I give her myself. I brought my cat here for a foreign body removal surgery after being recommended from Northgate Veterinary Hospital in Manteca. The surgery was completed by Dr. Fitzpatrick in the morning and I am very pleased with the service Village Oak provided. Dr. Fitzpatrick instantly made my fur baby comfortable and played with him while explaining the procedure to me. After the surgery they sent me pictures and kept me notified on how he was doing and when they would allow him to be released to go home. I'm a regular at their other location College Vet. But I've been to this location a few times in the past couple weeks. My dog had stomach, eye, lymph, and teeth issues happening in a Domino effect . Dr.Bove has been wonderful with My dog . He ended up needing a tooth extracted , but it ended up being 4 teeth removed. She answered my questions, returned my calls, took no offense to my questions. The staff called me and kept me updated. He was well cared for at this office . They didn't have a dental specialist but Dr.Bove did a wonderful job on his extractions. He hasn't whined or needed his pain meds 8+hrs later. I spent $125 just for a consult at a Dental clinic elsewhere , to find out the lady wasn't even board certified and wanted $1700.
