WOW! These guys are good!! My old septic system was failing fast. I had Acme Septic Design do the design work and permitting. They highly recommended A-Bell for the install. Once the holidays were over, I checked in with them to make sure they were going to do the work. They were out locating utilities in a couple days. A couple days later they showed up at 7:45AM and went to work. They had it excavated with the tank in the ground by 10:00. I had an operating septic system by 5:00 that afternoon! I've heard horror stories about systems taking months to complete. These guys were fast and very professional. They still need to cover everything up after final inspection. Would I recommend them? A-bell was recommended by our contractor and we therefore used them. They were slightly more expensive than another installer we used for our last build. The agreement was to install the septic system per the design drawings and complete backfill. As power was not hooked up to the home when they began, I asked how they would test the system and the installer said they would use a generator. When I next checked on the site, there was a large unfilled hole. reached out to them and they said they would check on it. after following up again, they said it was purposely left unfilled for the electrician to complete the work. This was the first indication they would not be completing the full installation despite their installer confirming they would test the system. After more back-and-forth, they said the contract specifically says they will not hook up the electrical for the septic system. This is not true and their is no reference to this in the contract. We had to contract with an electrician to finish the job for another $1,500. They had not either provided the control panel which when we asked for it they would not drop off. We finally convinced them to mail the control panel, but they did so saying we would be responsible if it was damaged. The final straw was they they refused to backfill the hole they had left despite this being called out specifically in the contract. This has been a bad experience from start to finish. read more

Where to start! I called A-Bell after our septic alarm went off and they were out less than 24 hours later. Rachel was so understanding and helpful (and even relayed my annoying questions to a technician to quell my worried mind) and Jim was AMAZING: extremely knowledgeable, kind, thorough, and fast. We used A-Bell to install our new septic system. The system passed the county inspection, but they left my yard a wreck. There were open pits all winter that let water drain into our crawlspace causing mold issues in our new build. I had to pay $1500 "trip fee" for them to come back out and finish the work after the electrical was finally installed (that was PSE's issue). Their "final grade" is rough - and it's not due to soil settling. There are pipes and lids sticking up all over. None of the lids are flush with the ground - some are flush while others stick up 2 feet. I have no way of grading the yard. My builder points his finger to the septic installer for final grade, and A Bell points his finger at the builder for final grade. Neither one is willing to finish the work so I'm left with pipes everywhere and a shoddy yard. When they came back out to backfill, we had them finish installing a line to our shop - expecting that it would be installed all the way to where the tank will eventually go. When we came out to inspect the work, we found the line was only partially installed. Instead of calling to discuss where we'd like the line to end, they just made the decision themselves and left a 4 foot pipe sticking out of the ground right where my garden is going to go. I'm calling other septic companies to get me a quote to fix their mess. Don't waste your time or money with these guys. It's been a nightmare. read more

This company cancelled our septic M&M contract for no reason. The builder told us we would have the contract for a year but 3/4 the way through A-Bell cancelled the contract. They didn't have the decency to tell us. We just got a nasty letter from the health dept. They claimed they didn't have our address or contact info and yet they came out to check on an alarm AND built the system! Health dept. claim shows a copy of their invoice with our name and address on it and stating that they couldn't get permission to come on the property to do the yearly maintenance. I would not do any business with this company. Not surprised by this unethical behavior because the builder was the same way. read more
