Very impressed with the rapid, same-day response on a Sunday from Noah at Jafco when our kitchen faucet in the home we've been in for a year randomly started severely leaking. Noah suspected a supply line issue and noted it would cost the same for him to replace the faucet as to repair it. We decided to replace the faucet (sooner than we had planned) and Noah recommended Delta touchless as reliable, great warranty, and a one-hour or less install, which we could buy online. Noah didn't charge us for the service call and told us to call and schedule an install and he'd come back and install it whenever the faucet arrived. While we waited for the faucet to arrive, we did notice that a tightening of the faucet's pull-down connector was all that was needed to stop the deluge, but we were happy to have the replacement due to the faucet losing water pressure rapidly after our move-in. Noah was prompt for the install appointment, cleaned up after himself, stayed masked, and installed a matching air gap for free. We're very happy with the purchase and we were tickled at Noah's excitement for this brand of faucet. Thanks for a job well (and safely) done! read more

I needed a shut-off valve from underneath the sink to a dishwasher replaced. The company arrived on time and called me to give me the estimate for the work. Perhaps an hour of work, but with potential complications that meant some drywall removal and a couple of 90-degree bends. Still, the work took perhaps an hour and the parts can't have been more than fifty bucks so even with a thirty percent markup on parts a bill of eight hundred dollars is outrageous. I'll give three stars since the work appears to have been done right, on-time, and I did agree to the estimate (though I expected the final cost to be lower if the work didn't take several hours to complete, which it didn't.) read more

The review for the services that Jafco provided is 5 stars. The crew who came to repair our broken pipe were professional and efficient. The multiple issues we had came entirely from the person we coordinated with over the phone (Dewayne). He had a recurring problem with setting an expectation over the phone or through text and then failing to meet this expectation. We had to wait for hours or days for responses from him, but when we called the main office looking for answers he would immediately reach out. There was also an issue with the payment (double charged us $2800) and when I spoke to him over the phone he said he'd resolve it within the hour. I waited a week and heard nothing so I went though my credit card company to get the money back. Overall the headaches we had with the project manager did not outweigh the excellent work the crew did, so we would not work with Jafco again. read more

This is mixed review. After finding that our sewer line was clogged (backup overflow in a shower and under a toilet) I called Jafco. They were very courteous and responded within a couple of hours just like the other reviews mentioned Two young men proceeded to work on the clog and after a few hours, they started to wrap up. I asked one of them if they got it cleared and he said no, but the other person would explain. I was first asked to go over the invoice and pay $548. He wouldn't explain what they found or what other work was needed until the invoice was paid. After paying, he then went on to explain that the problem is most likely due to a root growing through the sewer line and that a sewer line replacement was needed. I asked if they ran a camera down to confirm and he said that they ran their cable as far as it goes and couldn't actually get to the clog. I told them I would get back to them since the quote was for $8,500 plus tax. On the upside, they offered to get the excavator and other equipment out within hours or the next morning at the latest. It seemed that a second opinion was in order, so I contacted another company, Conan's Drain Cleaning, LLC. Conan agreed to come right over since he was close by, even though it was now nearly dinner time. Conan was very familiar with the sewer system in Lakewood. He got up on our roof and ran a jet down the vent pipe and cleared the blockage within minutes. Even though we didn't have a sewer drain cleanout, he knew there should be one and even knew where to look. After running a locator bar in to the ground a few times, he found it. There will now be a easily locatable clean-out fr now on. Since we're selling the house in a few months, we are having Conan come back to do a formal sewer line inspection and to make sure that line still look clear all the way down. So, Jafco gets: -5 stars for courteous and prompt response. -2 stars for performance since they didn't solve the problem -2 stars for business practice since they would not disclose their proposal until I paid for their unsuccessful work. If you have them do work and they present you with a large quote like this, get a second opinion. Yes, I had to pay twice for the drain cleaning and if I had called Conan first, I would have saved $548. I prefer performance-based fees. Since they were unable to solve the problem, they didn't earn that fee in my opinion. read more

Although they were backed up with emergency calls they made it to our residence 7:30 that evening. Long story short the neighbors tree roots snapped the septic line and grew into the septic line about 4ft. I had my sump pump and some pipes & spigots replaced by this company, and here are some issues I had; 1. On they say they were supposed to do the work I had a friend stay at my house to meet them. They didn't show up, and didn't call. I had to call when I got home from work. It was super stressful, but they ended up coming on the weekend, so that was great. 2. They installed the sump pump directly into the sewer line. I later found out that wasn't allowed in my city. I told them that, they said they could do it with a permit. I asked to see the permit, and they never got back to me. 3. The sump pump was installed in an ancient basin, and would constantly get clogged and stop running. To their credit they did come late one evening to take a look. Although they didn't really believe me there was an issue until they saw it happen with their own eyes. Which to a certain extent I understand. 4. When they installed a new spigot on the side of my house, they screws were not screwed into anything, so the spigot sort of juts out, and isn't anchored to anything. All in all, I really feel like I was taken advantage of. I was was brand new homeowner, and one of the first things I said to the guys who came out was "I don't even know what a sump pump is. The inspector just told me I needed a new one". So, part of its on me for not educating myself. But it ended up being a complete waste of money as I had to replace the whole sump pump system to bring it up to code. read more

Fantastic experience with Jafco for my house repipe! Needed to upgrade from old galvanized lines to Pex. Spoke/met with six different plumbing companies. Patrick (the ops mgr) came out for the estimate and was a total professional. Asked the right questions with no pressure at all to close the deal (not simply a sales job!!). The estimate was very competitive and crew of two (Wyatt and Anthony) finished the job in two days on schedule. Them having an office in Tacoma was a plus. Best part of the experience was the constant communication. Before the job, Patrick was very clear what was in scope and not (ie drywall repair). Every few hours I got calls with updates and to check if any questions. This was especially important when the crew came across unforeseen issues with the house. Even after the job was complete, there were follow up checks to ensure the work was done with quality and to my satisfaction. The first plumber didn't even pull the pump and inspect before telling me I need to call the manufacturer, as the pump is bad. In search of a second opinion I reached out to Jafco. I don't have enough positive adjectives to describe how good Jafco is. They took on a full sewer redo on our house that presented many challenges. 6' deep trench 40' long. Their guys are hard working and careful. They coordinated with my neighbor to put some dirt on his property as the line was right next to the property line. It was a lot of dirt but when they were done you can't tell they did anything in the first place. They explained the process and had great communication the whole time. My experience working with Jafco was nothing less than expected. With already being rated at 5 stars at their Seattle location. I gave them a call and had the pleasure in working with Dewayne. My sewer line was blocked with roots which was causing a backup. He scoped the line showing that there was little to no flow at all. So, we came to an agreement in hyrdo jetting in order to clear out the pipe. Within 30 minutes they were able to cut all the roots and restore flow. I can't appreciate Jafco enough!
