If you do not have an HR person, they can come out to help with anything you might need - recruitment, employee handbook, staff training, you name it. If you do have an HR person, they are still a wonderful organization to belong to because they can assist with any of the more tricky issues (legal woes, FLMA, worker's comp, discrimination, etc.), and provide ongoing training and support. My boss used them before he hired me to help him handle many of the HR functions of our organization, and once I came on board they helped us to develop our HR department and continue to provide aid whenever we need it. They have an "HR Hotline" when you have a question about employment law or other odd issues. They offer a yearly HR conference and a yearly Employment Law conference right here in the burbs, and both are fantastic. Also, check out their Training list for seminars held all throughout the year on numerous HR topics. This place is such a great asset for any organization!

When it came to temp-to-hire or permenant placement after I graduated I was less successful with Stivers. I had several temp assignments but no actual interviews. After about a month I ended up going to an different agency who had me in interviews (and temp assignments) within a couple days. If you're looking for straight temp work, I would definitely recommend Stivers.

I arrived for my scheduled interview, 15 mins early, and filled out the same paper work that they request you fill out online. After that, I sat and waited for 30 mins until my recruiter came out for our scheduled interview. I feel that it is completely unprofessional to leave someone waiting for 30 mins when you had a scheduled meeting. The interview itself was only about 15mins long. Very disappointing. It was also discouraging when the other applicants around me were dressed in jeans and t-shirts for interviews. They don't really give you any other information other than that they will call you if they hear of anything, but I should still look online at their job postings. So really, you are doing all the work for yourself, which I could have done at home. My suggestion would be to find a more professional agency if you are serious about getting help in the job search.

He has treated me for many issues but the most memorable and out of the ordinary was when he cured my vertigo in one visit. My internist recommended physical therapy and said it might take about 5 weeks. I don't have that kind of time so I told her I was going to call my chiropractor when I got to my car (my husband was driving). I did and he told me to come in that afternoon. It only took one time and I walked out on my own 98% cured. By the time I got home, I was totally cured with no reoccurance. He is amazing and I will testify to that. His new facility is very modern and filled with equipment for every purpose. I personally like to work out with stretching and strength-training. I'm 77 and feel like 55 most days. Dr. Ken is very forward thinking and has a massage therapist and acupuncturist on staff. I have used them both and highly recommend both. If you are uncertain about chiropractic care, never fear. Dr. Ken will explain everything before your treatment. I won't have another treat me as long as I have him.

From the moment I arrived there, the setup was strange where there's a conjoined round table consisting of all Caucasian women. I came in for my interview on time, but I had to wait until they finished their group discussions about other people that they have interviewed which could have been discussed when I wasn't there. During the hour-long interview, I can't help but notice that this agency is "religion-based" (Evangelical Christian). I am a practicing Catholic, but I felt that we should be focusing more on my skills, professional/educational backgrounds, and potentials. It was so cringy as I felt like I was getting recruited to be a part of a ministry or cult. Also, I felt so uncomfortable getting interviewed while there are several conversations going on in the background. I tried to follow up with two of their associates and I never heard back from them which is a blessing in disguise as I would have not been a good fit and I personally wouldn't be happy in the long run. In all honesty this is not a reputable agency, and the Department of Labor should probably look into their practice. For someone who has a background in Human Resources, in my opinion, an agency should practice fairness and equity and Theophany Staffing missed the mark.

Similar to last time, this business will appeal to Yelp to take it down claiming it's fraudulent but that's just the cut throat business acumen behind Jody Michael. To summarize, you will waste your money using a proprietary career rating matrix that is likely to tell you nothing new by the end of your session package. If you're desperate to find a path forward, consider upskilling, get a career coach (not whatever Jody claims to be) and focus on positive mindset. For these brief sessions, you will be charged hundreds of dollars and sometimes Jody will take calls while on vacation and cut them short! She offers little empathy given the context of a client needing career support and having come from stock exchange into six figure social work she will brag about, you're paying into someone's fortune while taking from yours.
