I was almost embarrassed to show her what she had to work with and she kept reassuring me that she had seen everything and would make it work. Michelle and her team spent several days organizing and literally turned it into what resembled an antique store. It was beautiful! I could not believe how well they got everything organized. Michelle and her team were very sensitive to our needs and catered to what we asked with professionalism and compassion. In short she and her team are truly good people. My goal was not to make a ton of money but more to get items cleared out with the help of experts so that it could be a start to what I had to get done, items could go to good use and of course a little extra money is always helpful but again not my number one goal. Is the stuff FREE.. no wait I'm paying for merchandise. The guy in Shorts (as before... this time he had a Covid mask- great!) is putting people 1-2 at a time... while elderly people are almost falling from Exhaustion... There's empty chairs I put them out (call me old fashion) I kind of care. As before it's "Crazy inside" I make in a grab magazines & Books and ask the Tattooed Dirty Blond barking orders for prices... "SIGN" Read $1 to $5 for Books.... (So do I guess which price of like more) ... She tells me to ask "Shorts Guy" who's mending doorway... (really looks like he needs a good shower) Without hesitation he says $5.00 Lady who sent me to him screams "corrected price" Books are $1 to $5.... I guess if you have an estate to liquidate, they are OK AFA the reviews go. As a buyer, they suck. No prices especially on big ticket items and then there's "discussion" amongst the sellers to come up with a price. Not unusual to see one of them go on eBay to get a price. Well, If I wanted to pay eBay prices then I wouldn't stand in their disorganized line. If there is a sign up list it's only used before the sale starts. Once there, you just get in line. That is if people form a line. Not one of the sellers coordinates what's going on outside so it's mayhem. The worst garage sale I have been to is better than 'A Worst Solution'. read more

I went to one of the sales a few months ago. I had a great time. Staff was pretty professional. Not overly nice and didn't like to converse with the shoppers so it was a little bit hard to find out a price for something. But other than that they were pretty cool. The estate sale itself was well organized, almost all items were clearly priced. There were plenty of employees to help the customers. The only area this company needed improvement in was the entrance line control. Funny how people have forgotten so quickly to keep your distance from strangers. They have a list and your name is on it, so why does one have to stand two inches from the person in front of them. There was a long line to get in and not all were admitted at opening. The ad said the entrance list goes up at 6:00am, but there were people that had been there for hours who had started the list around 2:00am (Not the companies fault, they weren't there at that time) One very LOUD guy kept asking those that were there is they all agreed on the list order (started before 6:00 with the nonsense), I just wanted to tell him to shut up already. I'd be really surprised if the neighbors did not complain about the noise level so early in the morning. Unfortunately for me one of the first people in line bought what I had come for. I did look around and found another lil' treasure so my adventure was not a total loss. read more

This is the 2nd time I have used Michelle and I would not hesitate to use her again. This time was to empty out my father in law's home. He had lived in the house for 50 years. Michelle and her staff are professional, and totally trustworthy. She communicates well and often, does a great job organizing, advertising and posting photos. In addition to furniture and household items, my father in law had at least 2,000 books on many different subjects. I had a great experience at the estate sale in Lakewood 3/17/22. All of the employees of A Better Solution were friendly and helpful. Michelle answered all my questions quickly and secured my selections while I continued to shop. I went very early and waited most of the night to be able to get Frog sculptures which I collect, luckily they were in the first room so I didn't have to really search for them. She passed away 2.5 years ago leaving us with her estate to settle. She had accumulated so much more stuff than we ever could have believed after living in her huge home on a large lot for more than 50 years. We tried to work our way through her possessions ourselves but after reaching the point of total exhaustion with the process while trying to work full time jobs, we hired Michelle and Robert Naylor of A Better Solution Estate Sales. Michelle's knowledge of antiques, jewelry, household items, and more was immediately obvious during our first meeting as was their experience with holding successful estate sales. Over the course of several weeks Michelle and Robert came over several times and worked side by side with us to uncover, discover, and clean many, many, boxes of collectibles and other items. With their help we were able to delve into areas of the property that we had not yet uncovered. Their preparation for the estate sale was expertly done allowing for the flow of the buyers, attractively set up, and was well advertised. Robert and Michelle took effective steps to provide security on our large property. During the two days of the estate sale they were here bright and early, fully prepared to deal with the crowds of buyers who attended the sale. Upon completion of the sale Michelle's records were complete and easy to understand. Michelle and Scott are the most kind, fair and honest individuals anyone could ever hope would handle their estate. Any negative feedback is completely off base. Michelle and Scott conduct their business with the utmost level of professionalism and have been more than accommodating considering COVID restrictions. They only allow a certain numbers of individuals into an estate at a time as to comply with CAs mandates, they also require everyone to wear a mask PROPERLY, at all times. Any complaint stems from someone who feels scorned because they might have lost out on an item they desired. The time spent taking an inventory, and cataloging items sometimes takes WEEKS. Given that the property owner allowed that much access. There are situations in which a property owner who is relinquishing their estate leaves TWELVE hours before the sale is set to begin. It is a shame that the rules of operation can be misconstrued as to a lack of preparation on anyone's part. Michelle and Scott follow every single rule and protocol, and their moral compasses point North and true. I was incredibly impressed with the way this business was handled, and to be quite frank, the prices were much lower than anticipated. They handled my neighbors estate sale & we were so pleased with them. They were very considerate of our neighborhood & pleasant. I bought several large things since we have the same model home & that home was set up for a disabled resident & I needed a few things that I could NEVER afford. I didn't consider that I could get expensive items for disabled people for my home 2nd hand especially something custom but I did & it's going to make a difference for me here long term. She even went out of her way to help me get the items to my home. We're talking a heavy large chair lift... She came back about a week later on her only free day so I had time to get help & did what she could do while trying to follow her guidelines which are strict I'm sure liability wise. From day 1 I knew they could not help people load or deliver but she did everything she could to help me. They are really great people who care. We went to one of their estate sales in Lakewood, Ca. It was a one-day only sale. There were a few people working the sale, one of whom was so busy chatting with his friend he couldn't be bothered to help anyone else. There was one person to take money, and he stationed himself right inside the front door which caused gridlock between people coming in and people going out. We bought a few things but didn't really get the best deal because he was absolutely unwilling to haggle, possibly because there was such confusion at the door. Set up outside next time, or somewhere less congested. We most likely will not go to their sales in the future, they were just not very well set up. read more
