At the recommendation of our realtor, we contacted Betsy to arrange an estate sale. Everything was done quickly and professionally. They come in and within one day the whole house was set up. Items were sorted and grouped together (they even washed some of the glassware and dishware). Then the sale took place over a two day period. The house and garage were completely cleaned out, as well as a lot of potted plants and many other garden items. It was so nice to walk into the house and find out that everything had either been sold, donated, or in some cases discarded. Just an empty house left. We just worked with Betsy and her team to have them conduct an estate sale and to finish cleaning out my grandmothers home. I met with her prior, she walked through, clearly laid out the process and gave me a price. I booked dates for the sale that worked for our family and her and her team came in and did the rest. They determine what can be sold, donated or needs to be placed in the trash (it is the last resort, but unfortunately not everything can be donated). Then they staged the house so beautifully (we had things in piles and the house was a mess before her team). After the sale, we chose to have the home empty, which they did. Went to their sale and the brunette with long hair whom I assume was in charge was just rude. When I asked a price or a question she answered with almost disdain. A lot of the items were not priced so no other way to know than to ask. Will not be attending her sales any more. These estate sale companies should realize if you keep loosing your buyers then you will not have a good sale which also affects the family you are working for. If your looking for a company to do your sale please make sure you go to a sale they are hosting so you know how they operate. There are a bunch of great companies out there. read more

Went to sale, nothing was priced and the workers didn't seem to want to help. One was irritated because I asked about pricing. After speaking to the home owner they have a store and what doesn't sell they sell at the store. Doesn't seem fair to homeowners. I will not do any business with them. read more

Betsy understood the difficulty a family can have parting with "family possessions" and she was patient while we determined what we wanted to keep. And i just seen a post for the first day that they weren't even practicing Covid-19 regulations. Thrifters beware!! You will NOT feel welcome at their estate sales. One of the staff was VERY unfriendly. I've been thrifting for over 30 years, and have never had an experience this awful. I was filming for my thrifting blog, and a staff member approached me (VERY angrily) and said they have a strict no camera policy. Ok lady, I totally respect that. But WHY on earth would you get ANGRY with a potential customer for not knowing this "policy"? No where on the property does it state that you have a "no camera" policy. How are customers supposed to know? There's no need to treat your customers like "second-rate" citizens. I've been to over 3000 estate sales in my lifetime, and there's one thing I know for sure. HOW you treat the customers are a big deal. Please be transparent and post your policies all over the property like all other estate sale companies do. read more

Dear Reader, Please be aware that The Estate Sisters do not provide a list of items sold, donated, or thrown away. This lack of what one would consider a standard business practice to protect their company and provide a financial accounting for their client, has left me feeling that I was gullible and duped. Yes, they cleared out my late parents 1,773 sq ft home, but I will wonder for a long time how it was that I ended up owing them money to fulfill the $2000.00 responsibility, and probably for a real long time what happened to my parent's belongings that they obviously did not sell. Just an FYI, the contract you sign states that you agree that the client and family members will remain off the property during the duration of the sale. My suggestion is talk to people who have used the services of an estate sale company. Find out what to ask then vet, vet, vet. For many of us, you are at a stressful and/or emotional time in your life. Don't let your guard down. Don't do business with someone just because they seem honest and nice to do business with.
