Paid $10,000 cash for a car, took 2 weeks to get a working radio, another 2 weeks to replace missing front fender well...completely gone!!!, and the dash light was on for the tire pressure sensor...said they would fix. picked up the car saw the paper work stating that they recalibrated the system and the light was off so i did not think about it until the light came back on the next day. had it checked at another place. they said there was no sensors in the wheels...so it was impossible to recalibrate...they bold faced lied to me. So I didn't read reviews but saw the car I was searching for online from them. Great price low miles year and model I wanted. The listing had the wrong colors posted, yet I didn't care about that. Im about the reliability of the car and quality. Minor damage on car fax that I may have overlooked. I probably wouldn't have made the 2 hr trip from Queens if I had seen that. Car looks good, interior is a hot mess, like a mechanic may have owned it. Again probably hard to clean but not my priority, I know I can work with this. I did my calls before hand and constant confirmation of the vehicle being ready to view was maintained. I showed up just before closing and the Jessica and Phil assisted me fully and professionally. Jess test drove with me and is knowledgeable as I commented on some details. They were very clear of what I could expect and willing to assist with bringing my car to a mechanic of my choice for my pre-purchase inspections. If any reasonable issues are seen they will address, if a major issue is reported, a repair or full deposit refund is agreed to. Phil will see to detailing the interior if the sale goes though. I am very pleased with the no-frills, no hassle visit I had today. I will post my results and next experience as I complete my car purchase or move on. I recommend, doing your research of what you want and what you are willing to pay. All dealerships have an extra cost some more than others. This one is at least reasonable and overall the cost is still thousands less than other used car sales. New cars have an origiantion fee and a dealers fee in addtion to regular fees that is astronomical and this is why I'm buying used instead of leasing for the first time in 30 years!. When you have your act together and call in advance, keep communication open and know what you can or willing to spend- your experience should be flawless. They have an huge inventory which felt overwhelming at first, but our salesman, Johnny, was so knowledgeable, personable, and patient and helped us find the perfect car for our family at an unmatched price! Trash place to get a car. Bought from CT and had it registered in MA to find out it won't pass inspection.

Confirmed two cars we wanted to see were still available. Realized initial contact was via AI but had email also, with a name. Checked again that cars available and each had two sets of keys, was told they'd be ready to see and even let dealership have updated ETA via text. Drove 90 mins at end of day to get there and have some time before they closed at 7pm. Got there only to be told that person on email not in that day. Someone else assigned to us. Told us that main car we wanted to see had been sold 5 days (!) prior. Then told that other car was in body shop and unable to see. Despite disappointment, decided to see one other car and waited 15 mins inside only to be told with about 10 mins to closing that car also in body shop and unable to see. Total nightmare. Obvious "reel them in" tactic just to make sure we made the trip. Their loss - happy to say we just bought a car for $3,000 more than the ones they had there that we wanted to see and the dealer was very helpful and very nice. I recommend you avoid A "Better" Way. This is very much a mixed review. Very busy when I got there (called ahead - had an hour and 45 minute drive to get there). I waited one hour and 15 minutes (I did complain a few times) until my salesman waited on me. Most steps in their process were confused and difficult. They wouldn't trust my bank check, (why bother getting a bank check) they thought it was possibly counterfeit. They wouldn't give me the title for 4 days. They had a missing tire (took a test drive on the donut/spare). When I went to a tire shop a week after taking delivery of the car to replace the 2 worn out original tires that they never replaced, the owner of the shop said he couldn't match the brand new tire that they had replaced the spare with. He said it was the cheapest tire that was a fit for this car and that it was not something that he could order. We left that tire on the car but now have 3 different tire types on the car. So far most of what I have to say is negative but our salesman honored a price from a couple of internet advertisements that was $2,000 less than the price they had on their own website. The price was thousands less than KBB. I can't complain about the deal I got. I would go back, although the process can be trying. Overall I am happy with my car and the value that I got. read more

I let the sales person know that I am concerned for his safety. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT EACH CAR GOES THROUGH A 150 point INSPECTION. THAT IS A LIE. THEY WILL SHOW THE CARFAX (which was not at all accurate). I have to replace the steering rack, radiator and additional repairs that total $1800. THIS SALESPERSON WHO SOLD ME THIS CAR, WHILE QUOTING BIBLE SCRIPTURE HAS PUT A VALUE ON HIS SOUL. Was the small commission you received worth risking the life of my son? Save all of those BS stories of how customers "buy you lunch" or venmo you money due to your honesty. The stories are all smoke screens and deceit. It must be very difficult to claim to be a follower of Christ, and also a used car salesman. Ultimately, I just feel incredibly ripped off and deceived. I bought the car on Monday, and I made a big mistake, i did not check the tires too closely. I was reasured since they told me I had a 60-day guarantee. I went to a mechanic (a friend who wouldn't want to sell me anything useless), and he immediately told me I needed new front tires and a tire alignment. So I called them, they told me to come so that they could check. The same salessman told me that i had nothing to worry about and that they were good and "road legal for some time.". I insisted quite a bit, and then, they told me to come back in 10 days so that the mechanic can check the car but that they couldn't guarantee to cover the cost if they deem it road legal. There is no way that makes 30+ miles. Waste my day so that they will fight with me to not cover the cost. I tried to call them and ask them if I could send pictures to the mechanic to determine it via mail, and they were adamant, no can do. The cars are a good price, some in an ok condition but I highly advice to carefully check the car before buying it and to get a 2nd opinion right after you buy the car from another mechanic. Be prepared to fight to get them to cover the cost included in the guarantee. It's a shame because I had a mostly good experience with them up until that point. Tldr : Tires are 5 years old, original tires of the car, 58 000 miles, cracks everywhere, thread really thin, and according A Better Way, completely ok. read more

Ok if I only looked at the dealer rating which could be better I probably wouldn't had called or visited but that being said from the first call to the buying process was very easy Jeri the sales person did a fantastic job for me some days I had time restraints and he was very courteous of that and did his best to meet my schedule , he came to pick me up at my house on the morning I picked up of my vehicle, went above and beyond what he had to do and I appreciate that. If i could give this less than one star i would. I never write reviews but this place was so bad i had to. When i got my Subaru Forester there about two weeks ago it was a terrible experience. Every single person was rude. Dont expect to be greeted at the door cause you wont. Also be aware that they will be adding BS fees onto the car and will add a warranty on to the car without your knowledge and you wont know till you sign for the car. I was there from 12pm to after close at 7pm. that how long it took to fully get the car. They claimed they put all new brakes on the car before i got it and the day of getting the car the brakes have squeaked very loudly. I went back two weeks later which was yesterday and dropped the car off to get fixed for the issue free of charge and when i had to call them to see where it was they said they didnt even touch it the first day. now here we are on day two I am currently waiting for them to pick up the phone but absolutely no one is answering. I need my car back. If you're reading this before going there do not. I mean it do not go there, the absolute worst place i have every been to. Literally the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I came to a ABWHW and purchased two vehicles for my business. I made it very clear what my requirements were and throughout the process it became clear the sales department has no clue what they're talking about and simply tell you what you want to hear. I explained my timeline, my budget, my urgency, and my deadlines and at every turn, they blatantly lied. Today, I find out that my vehicle won't be registered for another 4-6 weeks when I made it clear to my sales agent that I needed it ASAP- he said it would be very fast. Had I known this would have been this delayed, I would have bought it in cash or purchased in New Jersey. Additionally, during the actual car buying experience I was given inaccurate information on proof of residence and other required documentation. This people have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. The ONLY competent people at this place is Gladys and Sharon, and both have admitted to the incompetence of the sales department and the poor experience customers have received. As far as the cars go- they seem to be good but I will provide an update 6-months from now on that. My suggestion - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER DEALERS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WILL NOT BLATANTLY LIE JUST TO GET THE DEAL. I went to look and test drive some cars i liked on their website. As soon as we walked in we didn't have to wait (which is great) Unfulfilled it was the only good thing. We sat down with the guy he asked if we already knew what car we wanted to see and i told him i had 5 on my list, and as soon he heard how many he quickly said "Oh Noo I cant do all that, lets pick out the first 2 on your list and thats it", I then asked "why" I mean im the one paying and had went with $20,000 because I wasn't planning of financing. His replay to my why was "You see this place how packed it is?" "And do you see all these cars, I have to walk far to get the car you want because most of them are parked outside, up the hill because we have no parking near by".... I looked at my husband and he already knew I was uncomfortable with the answer and was ready to go.. but i said "listen ok just bring me these 2 for now" " it is your job to walk and get me the rest i want to see" and he just laughed like a "yeah oook" laughed So he went and got me the 1st car which is was a 2018 Fiat 500L, he took 30mns just to get it (as i was walking in to their parking lot i saw it close to the building door so it was NOT far at all) I don't know why he took 40mns to get it but ok, then he said "it has no gas so i have to go get some" that was an other 15mns, It was Hot and they didn't evn offer a drink of water or you can stay inside sitting down while i take care of this, noooo he told me to wait outside cuz he didn't wanna go back inside to get us... Ok i was already mad, tired og waiting and told my husband lets go, as we were leaving the guy comes with the gas, Ready to test drive it, but first had to inspect it, the windshield was cracked from side to side, needed to brakes and rotors and the inside there was something wrong with the stereo screen IT DID NOT SHOW ANYTHING AT ALL, BACK UP CAMERA DIDN'T WORK OR MAYBE IT DID BUT SINCE THE SCREEN DIDNT WORK WE COULDN'T FIND OUT, IT WAS STUCK ON "FIAT LOGO" The guy kept sayng "yeah yeah they know about it and will get fix, but they wont fix it till you put a down payment"... Just saying So i still wanted to test drive it, which i did but not too far because the brakes were bad like really bad and i was scared my husband is a mechanic so he said "nooo way we will continue to drive it like this" went back and said No to that car, he then brought me a 2017 Toyota Yaris with 2kmiles That one didn't even wanted to start up so um i told him " lets continue with my list" as i wanted to test drive a Chevy trax, a chevy volt and a Honda Civic And he said no because they were too far, and instead he wanted us to look at an SUV that was right in front of the building door near us, i said No because it wasnt what I wanted and we left.. He said "I could've been helping someone else" as if we wasted his time. He wasted ours I went to Blasius Kia in Watertwon and OMGod the treatment was INCREDIBLE As soon as we walked in they all welcomed us, offered us to sit, brought us some water bottles, offered coffee (which we took and was amazingly good) and offered some snacks, it wasn't hot in there nor they kept us waiting outside in the sun.. I showed them a list I already had, 4cars and they said "we will be glad to help you" and quickly brought them all.. i test drove them all and guess what?? Came out with a 2023 Kia Forte that same day. I left a review shortly after a month of buying my car. Today is now 8 MONTHS after buying the car for $10k and there have been issues since the first month. 1- They WILL clear check engine lights (it happened to me) 2- I am now having to pay $3k for REQUIRED work to be done to the car, never mind the other almost 4k for other issues. 3- The required work is engine related so if I don't get it fixed, the engine will blow.
